This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph.
Carole: 1.) Greatly decrease alcohol 2.) Track daily, being mindful of my macros 3.) Make movement a daily habit 4.) Be thankful each and every day ♥ 5.) Organize the house and photos
Karen: 1) Count my blessings each day in my planner 2.) Track my food daily on the Noom app 3.) Continue to conquer the areas of my home that need special love 4.) Intentionally Move More
Sue: 1.) Continue to be positive and thankful daily...even if it's hard to find anything good!! It's out there...♥♥♥ 2.) 2024 will be a year of changes and challenges as retirement approaches for the two of us...while exciting to approach that new chapter, it's a bit scary venturing into the unknown!! This is a time to get organized to reduce stress and frustrations... 3.) Drink more water....even if it's hard...make it a priority...a continued "work in progress" for me!! 4.) Get to the pool....it makes me feel good, it's my happy place...no excuse!! Shoot for 3 days a week to start!! 5.) Be kind to ME!! Remember you can't be all things to everyone especially if you don't take care of you first!!
Christine 1.) Aim for cardio exercise 5x a week. 2.) Reduce alcohol (follow Dry January) 3.) Accept HELP when it's offered - I can't do it all
Gabrielle: 1.) Track each day on MyNetDiary 2.) Focus on fitness at least 5 days/week including: strength training, cardio (running, etc.) 3.) In bed by 9:00 pm on weeknights, lights out by 9:30 4.) Focus on fluid intake each day
Jenny: 1.) Dry January and maybe even extend it 2.) Measure and weigh foods 3.) Do some Yoga every night at least for 15 min and work up to 30 4.) Drink at least 80oz of water
Jo: 1) Track food everyday 2) No alcohol for 100 days or longer 3) Get some movement everyday 4) Work out 3 times a week 5) Work on nutritionist plan 6) Write 3 things I'm grateful for

Good Morning - just reminding ourselves to get our WATER in today - I feel like I'm still flushing out the Easter foods - so much sodium in ham and sausage - but I did have fresh green beans added to the menu this year that I feel helped to balance some of it LOL
We are having super strong winds here with heavy rains - it looks like most of the State of PA is getting hit hard! Still calling for white stuff tomorrow but I doubt anything will accumulate. Still. Our temps continue to be in the 30s and 40s -
Everyone is keeping an eye on the weather for MONDAY ECLIPSE DAY! Apparently Erie, PA is in the direct line and we are expecting CROWDS of folks from all over to gather here this weekend! Hotels have been sold out for months now - all schools, banks, and most businesses are closed for Monday due to the expectation of crowds and traffic congestion as they think all these out of town folks will be heading to our Presque Isle peninsula for the 'best view' of the total eclipse. All the local restaurants are open early to host parties and hoping for a slamming business! It's crazy. The State Police have already promised to shut down streets to help with crowd control, then reopen for a massive exit after the Eclipse. Since our school is blocks away from the Peninsula and in the main path for expected heavy traffic, we will work remote from home on Monday. Lindsey is scheduled to be at the Brewery at 10 AM - their building is on top of a hill that overlooks the city/ Lake Erie so she will have a prime spot to experience the event.
I think the best seat to experience the Total Eclipse is on my deck. Carly and Ben will join us. Unfortunately, the weather may not cooperate - temps still in the 40s and every day the forecast changes from partly cloudy to cloudy back to partly cloudy.

Gabrielle - I was thinking about you with your 'final time' projects. I wish I could say the same with the State testing prep work and coordination. It's a LOT of details preparing and then monitoring it all. I'm glad your Easter weekend went well and your DM did okay with hosting everyone! I had dinner here at 2:00. Carly was feeling better but not really eating anything other than a dinner roll (poor girl!) - my DM came over. She ate. Chatted for about 15 minutes after the meal then took a piece of pie 'to go' and left. I didn't really have a chance to just sit before she was heading home. Odd. But, oh well. Everyone was worn out by that time and naps were in order for all! LOL Carly & Ben left around 5:00. We had leftovers for a late dinner and started watching the new season of Amazing Race! Fun! I really wish we had Monday off as man, I was exhausted! Congrats on selling your car and picking out a newer one! Finally you can check that off your list of pre-Retirement to do list!
Carole - I hope you are having amazing weather in AZ - what do you think? Does the air feel drier and less humid?? That was a huge draw for lots of folks. I'm eager to hear how your Spa time went. What a great deal to earn a free credit just for listening to a sales pitch! I'm also hoping Ken found things to do and not bug you to plan entertainment. Are you cooking your own meals or does this resort have restaurants? Happy Anniversary to you both!!!
Jenny - your Easter pics of the boys were so cute! Glad had time to visit and be a part of their Easter egg hunt! lol How did your parents do?
Jo - ohhh to just get away for a weekend would be great! NC should still be a nice and affordable trip for you!! Where are you staying? I'm hoping there's a hot tub or pool for you!
Sue - glad your visit with David was fun. Short but sweet! And the Boys got to visit for a bit too. We had the portable basketball hoop too - less damage to the siding or windows, trust me! lol How are you doing with getting all the boxes unpacked for your kitchen? What a project! Your TX trip will be here soon too - where are you staying - I wasn't sure if you were going to stay with Jim and Annie since they seem so different from you guys. I hope you have time for you and Jason to find something FUN to do and not feel too obligated to hang with them.
Karen - that is quite a story about the principal and cleaning YOUR room! OMG like something out of a movie. I'm so glad Isaac saw the writing on the wall and was applying elsewhere. AND he landed a position more to his career choice! Good for him! We are getting ready this weekend to mail out the Save-the-Date cards for Carly & Ben's wedding. Ben made the announcements - they are super cute - I'm trying to get a copy of their template of all the addresses as I'll need some for the Bridal Shower in July. I am only doing a small shower - 40 guests - and even that is getting tough to keep the numbers low. We figured only family and friends who KNOW CARLY. It helps but it's hard to draw the line. Ben's mother is not doing a shower so I feel obligated to invite Ben's people to this shower to include them.

Morning Christine and all to come...
WATER Wednesday is the word here for sure....we have already gotten 2 1/2 inches of rain Mon/Tues and could get another 1-2 inches today....there is water everywhere and the streams and creeks are flowing high!! Many roads are more stream than road. We might see some dry weather by tomorrow afternoon....can't tell by the weather maps if you are getting more snow than rain or what the final outcome will be when it's all over for you!!
I saw you mentioned the eclipse...they schools are all letting out early so the kids can be home and have the chance to see the eclipse....the schools can't get so many students out to see the eclipse so they opted to send them all home instead. We will watch from the parking lot at work....you will definitely get a better view being more in the direct path....for us, depending on where you are in the Susquehanna Valley will see 90-93% of total coverage...not bad for our area...still substantial.
Will head to the pool again this afternoon....bag is ready and sitting by my lunch box.
Not sure what happened last night that I didn't get on...I do know I was sounds asleep before 9:00pm...I had dozed for a while too before that...I'm still exhausted....
Time to get dressed and hit the road....see you all tonight....have a great day and drink that water!!

Good morning!
Water Wednesday---a good reminder for me. I have my cup filled and at my desk but get busy and forget to drink. I will make it a point today. For some reason, I had a note on my calendar that I was taking a 1/2 day off this afternoon. I have no idea why....I actually think that I accidentally put it on there. Anyway, of course, I have a zoom call scheduled for 1:30 pm so, if I do take a "1/2 day" it will really be like 2 hours off. Hmm...not sure it's worth it. We will see. Yesterday was a LONG day with the meeting well-attended but I am glad that it is over and I am moving on. My Zoom with the doctor was just okay. She was one hour late!!! She doesn't like the low hemoglobin and hematocrit and asked when my last colonoscopy was. It was 5 years ago (I am on the 5-year plan since my maternal grandfather had colon cancer--I've never even had a polyp). I actually am waiting for a call back to be scheduled for May. So, I will do that. She said that it usually is something to do with your gut. I asked about diet since DH has gone more vegan but she thinks it is a gut thing. Then she said, if it isn't a gut thing, we will refer you to a hematologist. Oh good....one more thing for me to think about. Oh well, I am grateful for pro-active health care I guess.
Christine: Wow, we are hearing hardly anything about the eclipse! We do every now and then on a news cast, but it is a much bigger deal on your side of the country I think! I am SO glad that your school is being proactive and letting you work from home. It sounds a lot more productive. So, did they know about this last summer when they were planning the school calendar? Was this a planned day off? Oh, I hear you on state testing and feel for you! I was in charge of it when I was Asst. Supt and it was SO much work getting everyone trained and tracking it all. It will be great when you have your "last" there. Yahoo for getting the "save the dates" and shower invites ready. I think that 40 is a big shower! But then again, I think that Ben and Carly have quite a few bridesmaids/groomsmen, right? Sometimes I think that automatically adds who should be invited--do you think? It is all so exciting to see it coming together! Did you get the cake situation figured out? I hope that is off your plate. Wow, reading about your mom dining and dashing off. Maybe she just needed her day to herself? It's so hard to figure out! It is good that you invited her and she was able to see everyone. Hey, by the way, you should charge people to get a view of the eclipse from your deck! I do hope that the weather is agreeable through it all after all of the bookings, etc. Thanks for getting us going today and have a good one!
Sue: It sounds like you are keeping yourself busy and taking care of yourself, getting the rest that your body needs. Good for you! I am sure that, after your big weekend, you still needed some rest. Wow, same for you with the schools closing, etc for the eclipse. Maybe we aren't giving it the attention it deserves here in CA! We have rain coming in this afternoon and sticking with us for a couple of days....but next Monday is predicted to be nice so maybe I need to look more closely at the timing of eclipse. Well, thank you for hoping that the doctor's appt went okay...you probably saw my note above. Sort of okay? I just am so tired of worrying about so many things. Hoping to get this one behind me soon. Hope that you have a good day!
Carole: Oh, I am so glad to hear about your nice weather and nice room in AZ! If you buy into that place, maybe we can schedule a trip out there next time (in the motorhome) to coincide with your time. DH LOVES AZ. Hoping to hear about a wonderful spa visit soon. I am so sorry that your airport situation was so rough. I will tell you that, if you are flying out of Phoenix, I used rental cars there quite a few times since DS29 was attending school in Flagstaff. I found the car rental return to be SUPER routine ---lots of shuttles back to the terminal and super smooth. Really! Please don't let worries about that cloud your time now. Looking forward to pictures of your adventures!
Jo: So good to see you and sorry to hear about the terrible sleep. I wonder if you did something that used those muscles and you just were not really aware of how challenging it was? Whatever it was, it sounded painful and I hope you feel better soon. It sounds like you will have the chance to see how Emilie does alone....then maybe you'll feel better about leaving her while going to the lake this summer? It sounds like a possibility now...so glad that you and Steve got away. Interesting about the car insurance. I just told DH and we are going to start shopping for new insurance. We have no accidents, only one claim (when DH hit a coyote on the way to AZ 4 years ago). Here in CA, with fires, etc. all of our insurance costs are affecting sales of houses, etc. It is wonderful that you found another option for you and Steve. Oh, by the way, how will Emilie get to work and home when you and Steve are gone? Hope that you feel better today and are having a good day.
Jenny: How is your week going? Hoping that your weather will remain good through the week (unlike ours) so that you can continue to work on your yard.
Karen: I hope that you are getting out on the kayak!
Okay, time to get moving. Hope that everyone has a good day and I actually might have time to pop in this afternoon....

Good morning
I’ve been busy like normal. Oh yes the Eclipse is on Monday, they say we will only see about 23% of it. We had one on the west coast in 2017 and it was a madhouse. They shut down all work to accommodate for all the people who chase eclipses around. All the business stayed open but I had the day off. It was in August and it was really neat to watch the whole thing from start to finish. You all who get to see it will enjoy it.
Thanks for starting us off Christine. I’m glad to hear everything went well at your Easter celebration. That’s odd your mom didn’t stay very long. But at least she didn’t cause any chaos which probably made it nice. Poor Carley not feeling well, but at least she joined in with the family. Yes, those little guys are so cute and funny at this age. They enjoyed their Easter basket and egg hunt, they are at that fun stage. Logan he just smiles his cheeses little grin and Maverick is busy telling everyone No. my parents did really well, they get a big kick out of them playing around and they love GG and Gpa, that’s what they call them.
Gabrielle I’m having a good week, defiantly was enjoying the nice weather we had the last 4 days. You guys got all the rain, sorry. Yep I’m due for a colonoscopy. I’m on the 3 year plan due to the last one they got two polyps in 2020 at my last one. I go to the Drs on Monday morning for a medicine check and will have them get me a referral. I’m sorry it’s just one more thing to worry about that’s no fun. Oh, by the way it’s national walk day I’m going walking in the park tonight with my friends at WW and my leader, it should be fun.

Karen that is terrible about Isaac’s job at the school!!! And, that principle is putting kids in harms way if he allows the custodian ladies to have a gun on school campus. WTH.
I’m glad you enjoyed the shower for Marisa and Issac, I’m so happy Isaac has a job he enjoys now and pays more. Yes, I agree Marissa needs to contribute to the financial side of the marriage, it’s so hard to live on a single income. I hope you got the kayak out and paddled around a bit.
Sue sorry your getting hit with so much rain, 4 inches is a lot. Do you guys get to watch the Eclipse on Monday? I’m glad David and Katy got to come up and enjoy Easter with you guys. Good idea about the basketball hoop, I’m sure the boys enjoy it.
Jo sounds like you had a nice Easter glad the family could enjoy it all together. I don’t sleep well some night either with everything that I sit and think about.
We got our solid meter put on the house yesterday, now we’re making power, I’m excited to see the difference in the bill.
Ok gotta run

Carole sounds like a fiasco with Ken and not remembering any emails for the car. I’m soooo glad that you got your CPAP back, I usually put my on top of my rolling luggage rack that you pull up to roll your suitcase, mine has a strap I can hook it on just so I don’t forget it. I’m glad the rest of the trip is going well and the place is nice that you’re at. Oh, please relax and enjoy your spa day. Glad your going site seeing. Maybe next time you can stay longer and enjoy more sights. Yes, the weather is perfect this time of year but I don’t think I’d like it much in the dog days of summer unless your by a pool. Have a safe trip home.

Good Morning ~ almost 9 AM, 62 and sunny, hoping to hit 81 later today! WATER Wednesday... need to increase my water each day. Joe is running a Step Challenge for April, so far I am being an "over achiever"! LOL I also need the water today, because the Cowboy Cookout was so much GOOD food! LOL
Seeing friends post the bad weather back home - schools are already dismissed due to it. Instead of cancelling they opted for 1/2 day... sooo, they are actually sending the buses out IN the SLEET and freezing rain! So crazy! Usually they cancel for little or nothing, this time they chose early dismissal and it's biting them in the butt.
We are supposed to be in 90% of total eclipse. That will be enough for me! LOL I could drive out to Buffalo, but Eh', not worth it to me. Like our Christine, I will "enjoy" it from my patio, or maybe the hot tub!
Hmmm, temps have been 70s, no humidity (I guess), but also a slight breeze. I tell you though, when the sun goes down - it gets chilly! We cut out of the cowboy thing early last night. I just didn't want to cram around a firepit, toasting marshmallows (s'mores). It also didn't hurt that we were back to our room before all the other 50 people wanted to get back too! They had 2 golf carts to shuttle us all back.
Christine: Thanks, Ken is doing well, with wandering around, or yesterday he just sat outside in the sun while I was in my massage. Later in the afternoon, he took his tablet out to the patio. Sadly we are on the ground floor, and out patio doesn't get much sun all day. Another time we know to request a different building and an upper floor. The balconies look amazing in the morning sun. The massage was fine - my biggest problem is by the time I lay on my back for so long, my back hurts when I get up! LOL
Our first night here we shopped at Wal-Mart. I bought frozen protein bowls for my breakfasts. Ken got his usual, bagel and cream cheese. We also got some bananas, and a cheese/cracker tray, and a veggie tray. We figure if we eat breakfast in the room, then either lunch on the snacks, then have a nice dinner it would be fine. Today we may have a snack on the boat/cruise, then eat dinner (early) on our way back. Tracy went on line and got us a gift certificate for a local restaurant out here, for our anniversary. It's good at 4 different places, so we have to track down one, and have dinner.
So glad you can include Ben's family in the shower. Still amazes me that his family has no concept of how to do things for the kids.
Sue: Yikes, that sounds like a lot of water/rain! Hope it doesn't affect your drive to/from work.
Gabrielle: Ugh, sorry your 1/2 day off may only be a couple of hours! But hey, IF I were you... I'd take those couple of hours and just go home! OH dear... sorry for the just OK appointment, and OMG an HOUR LATE?? I am sure it will be something simple, because you are so pro-active with your health and eating. {{{hugs}}} Definitely we will be coming back here! Would love to meet up with you someday ♥ We already own the points, so we can come anytime! I hope to drive out someday, but we'll see. Another place we want to get to is Big Bear, CA. How far is that from you?
Yes, the sky tram was a very quick trip from the airport, so I assume it will be the same on the return. I just ALWAYS seem to have to worry about something. YOU know how that is.
Jenny: The resort has a "Fitness Walk" this morning, but I am opting OUT! LOL Not sure I am ready for a fitness walk, if everyone else is a walker or runner! I will get my walking in for the day, so I didn't feel like getting ready to be out there this early. Good luck with making power. Anxious to see how much difference it makes for you. Well our plans changed... no train ride! We didn't make reservations early, because we knew if we made them through the resort, we'd get a discount. Lesson learned - saving 10% isn't worth it if they will be sold OUT by the time we get here! UGH! I am so disappointed. So instead they were able to sign us up for a boat tour on the lake near here. It's fine, just not the same. So yes next time, we plan things differently. Actually were told it's cheaper to fly into Vegas, and rent a car to drive to the Grand Canyon. Then we can drive to here, and fly out of Phoenix. Apparently the car rental taxes are a lot less in NV, rather than AZ?
Tomorrow will be our day of hanging out here. Hoping to get chairs at the pool in the morning, to just lounge most of the day in the sun. There is a bar & grill right there, so we can grab a light lunch too. We'll see how that goes! LOL It's also the day for Ken to join Pickle Ball in the morning.
The resort does have a lot of activities during the day, but most are at the Lagoon Pool, which is not the adult only, so I think they might get crowded? Might wander out and see just how many people join different things.
OK Now it's time to get moving - want to hit the road by noon, to travel to the boat. Also need to find these restaurants (on line) so we can use the gift certificate today. Meanwhile, coffee is gone, time to enjoy some more water!
♥hugs♥

Afternoon ladies - a quick check-in - I spent the last several hours doing a deep dive in Isaac's room - O M GOODNESS what a mess! I probably should have tied a rope around my waist to make sure I could find my way back out. I hauled bag after bag of just trash out of there. (Well - I felt like it was trash and Tony and I loaded up the back of the old van and went to the dump. I would have much rather been on the water in my Kayak but I feel so much better with the mess gone!) He now can just pick up his stuff (in crates in the closet... and I can get the room fixed up and Tony can move his office from the basement.
Now to go read ...

Hi Everyone! I was up half the night in pain again. Finally got up and took Tylenol and used biofreeze.
I met with Marissa today. We went over my MFP. She told me not to log on Easter so I didn't. I did good though only had 2 means. I'm checking to see if we can extend out trip to check out Saturday instead. Fingures crossed.
Gabrielle, thanks for starting us. It got colder here too. We affect supposed to be able to see the eclipse either. I'll try though.wow Gary hit a coyote? Did it do alot of damage?

Christine, sorry thanks for starting us. I'm glad you're Easter act well.sounds nice seeing the eclipse from your porch. I can just imagine the crowds. Wow it's still that cold. I hope the clouds clear so you can see it. The last one I saw was really cool. I agree I'm rant feeling all that sodium from the game. My joints are hurtING too.
Carole, sorry for all the stress at the airport. Oh my to Ken leaving your cpap. Thatcwas really nice of someone to turn it in. Your report sounds nice. Enjoy the weather.that was so nice of Tracy to get you two that gift certificate to a restaurant. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Jenny, there was an eclipse that we had beat viewing of here a couple years ago. Same thing, crowds no school but still had to work. We were able to go outside to see it though. Keeping busy is a good thing.
Sue, sounds like you are keeping busy at work too. Mine is on again off again.

Evening all....had a great work out this evening....didn't feel like going but once I got in the pool it was fine!! Work day was steady, got the MEAP finished with a couple more little ones to come this week but nothing crazy!! Now home, in pj's, lunchbox emptied, dishes in the dishwasher and I've curled up to catch up here with all of you....
Carole...thanks for starting us off on Friday....sounds like pie making went smoothly last week with a little help from Pat and Eden! Glad the Vionic flip flops seem to help your back....I know I love my OOFO flip flops when I need to do a lot of standing....I've never had Vionic.... Sounds like you had a busy couple of days getting ready for the bake sale and holidays but also sounds like you had the logistics all worked out with Tracy and pick ups. Every time you say it's "donut day" I always think of the DD commercial "Time to make the donuts...."
The boys and Jason had a great day on Friday....Jason picked up a lily for me for Easter and let the boys each pick out something for Sarah....Kellen pick the light kettle popcorn she likes and Jackson picked her favorite Chobani "Flips" flavors...they were cute and so excited to give them to her on Sunday when they got back!! They went to DD for donuts and "frozen hot chocolates", then to the store for Easter gifts, then home and were out in the yard playing for awhile, then Josh came and picked them up for the weekend. He got here about 3:00pm. Unfortunately it was his weekend but he did let them come home early on Sunday to spend some of Easter with Sarah and time with David & Katie.
Gabrielle....glad you got to enjoy a nice day off on Friday. LOL, I'm with you on the creature of habit....I always feel so flustered and disorganized when my weekend routine gets thrown off. Sounds like between driving the car for a couple days and meeting with the BMW Genius you got everything set up and feel more comfortable with all the "techy" changes in the 8 years between cars....crazy how much the same car model changes with each year and update. Well...it's now OFFICIAL...you ARE RETIRING!!! WOO HOO!! I pack like you...I start with my lists of things to bring and things NOT to forget....then I lay things out as they are clean or is I think of something but I never fill my suitcase(s) until last minute....I've always been that way. No, as you know now, David arrived on Saturday around lunch time....it was month end so Katie had to work Friday and then took Monday off.... Yes, time with family is indeed my "happy place"!!
Jenny....sounds like perfect weekend weather for you...will admit that despite the rain for a few hours on Saturday afternoon, which actually arrived a couple hours later than they predicted, Sunday was perfect....upper 60's, sunny and light breeze.....beautiful Easter weather...then by Monday in the wee hours of the morning the rains started and haven't stopped yet except for the occasional light spritzing bands that come through....it's in the upper 40's, low 50's now but just damp and raw...hard to believe that come the weekend and next week the forecast is sunshine and higher temps....even a few 70's next week!! YAY!! I saw the fun pix of the boys on Easter....they have gotten so big and that age is so much fun on the holidays!!
Yes...the port issues are far reaching and making life miserable for many. Mark actually told us today that the cruise he and his wife are taking next weekend has been rerouted so not they are leaving out of Norfolk VA instead of Baltimore....such a mess....now instead of driving 1-1 1/2 hours he will drive closer to 5 hours to get to the port in Norfolk. They do have one lane open for some imports/exports but very limited...they are hoping to have the usual "traffic" flowing in and out of the port by the end of the month....it's a very slow process of salvage because of they don't do it methodically there could be more of a collapse, causing more damage to cargo ship and that could be a disaster with the cargo on the ship...some is hazardous of not handled correctly/safely.
Christine....thanks for starting us off Saturday....that day was a total blur for me....got up, ran to the store which was a ZOO, then home to do a few things before David arrived and helped Jason put together the basketball hoop for the boys.....never made it here!!
I'm sure you will be able to muddle through all the contract reports....you always do!! YUCK....what a miserable drive from Pittsburgh to Erie! I hate driving in the rain, all the water is sometimes as unpredictable as ice. LOL Christine....we all know in PA that just because it's "spring" and April, we are always good for one more good snow to end the winter blast!! Thankfully at least for us it never lasts very long here....we can get 6 inches one day and it's gone in 48 hours....I like that kind of snow! I'm sure your Easter when off w/o a hitch!! We can often go on "auto pilot" when it comes to family holiday meals. Hopefully Virginia was on her best behavior on Sunday!!

Christine...the Rose-Gold sounds pretty...I'm sure the reception will look beautiful...just as Carly dreams. Can't wait to see pictures of the wedding..... Sorry Carly felt so lousy on your "girls night"...hope whatever she had didn't hit anyone else in the house! Maybe it was the turkey on her salad....poultry can be a common culprit for food poisoning. If no one else gets the "bug" in the following days she might have been right but we all know it sometimes takes a couple days for the "bug" to jump on it's next victim! So glad you and Lindsey got to spent time with your cousin David....bummer Gary had to work. Sounds like he and David enjoyed each others company. I love getting together with cousins I don't see very often. OMG, can't believe Virginia didn't let you know David was in town....love that Tracy is well aware of Virginia's antics and made sure Friday would be a fun night and kept the drama away!! I love it!! I'm sure the girls loved hearing about all the "mischief" their dad, uncle and cousin got into all those years ago!!
Gabrielle....Happy Belated Birthday Ed!! I think it's nice that you took a "night off from cooking" to enjoy a nice meal in celebration!! Glad your Friday was productive so you started off your week feeling in control!! I love that your DM still wants to cook and host a dinner now and then....guess she wants to feel useful and like she is still part of the holiday prep!! Hopefully she could pull it off! It is funny to me that CA is colder than OR and even than we are....I still have "sunny California" in my head. Oh...I saw some terrible flooding footage in CA....I didn't catch where it was but it was crazy!!! I'm thinking maybe rain and snow melt is wreaking havoc??
Jenny....YAY for a sunny Saturday!! Bummer you missed your meeting but sounds like you made good use of the time and the nice weather to work outside getting things cleaned up!! YUM...I do love deviled eggs...I wish someone else in my house liked them...I rarely get them and I LOVE them!! How fun to be celebrating DD's 86th birthday...so nice to hear extended family is coming in for the celebration!! I know it will be a great day and your dad will love it!! Glad the hallucinations seem to be controlled at this point...hope things stay that way!!
Speaking of the 2nd weekend in April...that's when we head to TX...I got an email from Annie about the "schedule" for the weekend....it's all good except for Sunday dinner of meatloaf.....YUCK!! Jason loves it so I won't say anything and will eat a small piece to be polite. LOL!! We will get to see DM every day and spend some time at her place and she will be at Jim and Annie's on Sunday....it's all good! I can do do!! I will have to head into work early on Thursday so I can check in for the flights....we have 7:45 flights so I need to be at a place I can "check in" at that time....I'm usually on the road at that point so will need to leave early enough that I'm at work to check in...If I wait and do it from home I'll be late for work.
Getting late and need to call it a day....sweet dreams all! See you all tomorrow! Nothing planned for tomorrow evening...the boys will be with Josh and I'll come straight home from work...I think my plan for day #3 this week will be Saturday....will get my massage, my pedicure and then since I'm right around the corner will hit the Y for my workout and time in the hot tub!! Sounds like a good plan for my day.....
