Good morning. I got so much done on my light work day. It’s amazing all the little things I do that didn’t get done while I was at the hospital.
Nick got a call from a friend while he was making breakfast yesterday. Would he like to help with flood cleanup? Looks like he now has a job until he can return to the dealership. It’s a young entrepreneur who does a lot of construction and handyman jobs. The friend that he’ll be moving in with also works for this guy, so there is his ride to work until he can drive again. I’m simply amazed at how God is working everything out.
I spoke with the director of Empowering Epilepsy yesterday. Wow, wow, wow. This woman knows her stuff. She remembered meeting DH a year ago and remembered Nick’s story. She said that Cleveland Clinic is ninth in the country for seizure care and she convinced me to stay with our current specialist. She then emailed our doctor and heard back immediately from her. DH stopped in to EE on his way home and had another great conversation with her. He was telling her the story of the cop trying to do field sobriety while Nick was having a seizure in the ER (don’t think I mentioned that to you, but the cop threatened to arrest DH). She said that they will be starting to educate law enforcement about epilepsy in the very near future. Anyway, she will be a wonderful resource for us.
Meg, he told me when he woke up Thursday morning that he felt his brain had changed, almost like a reset and a clean slate. I am also inspired and blessed by my son’s attitude.
Nancy, I think 12/12 is a great fast time for you. Did you have your pasta and bread?
Kathy, a wedding, whoo hoo! Congratulations!!
Lori, I hope your week is going well.
