Good morning.
33, snowing, winds, feels like 21. Going to 36.
Robin, right, I was not into Bob, as I have said; I was not emotionally connected to him yet, which helps to walk away from that kind of thing.
I get a total of 9 days paid off at school per school year, so many for PTO, and so many for sick, but as I have only taken 1 day off last school year and knock on wood the 1 day so far this year, I do not know how many for each. I look at my job as, if I am going to work part time, I should be there as scheduled. I have enough time off during the day to work around my work schedule.
I am sorry you are getting all that rain. At least most of us are getting that help that is needed from the drought.
Marsha, great that you were able to vote before work, instead of after, as how I did it. Not fun!!! Pete just said we had a wind gust yesterday of 53mph. It was quiet when I was there, but of course the table I register at had new people working it, so the couple in front of me were held up while the workers tried to figure things out.
Oh, how smart of you, to being going to the Island in late September!! It should be beautiful, hopefully, then the train trip after that!
Are you going to cancel your hair apt? If I had mine today, I would go, as I am sure by 1:30, the highways will be fine.
Lol, your DH is right. (About the cruise money).
Carol, your question about Bob is what I kept thinking, whenever he talked about his past relationships. No clue! I did not talk about the men I have met on the dating sites, so I just don't know what the objective was for him. Maybe he took getting dumped hard, and was trying to build himself up in my eyes?
Lol, when I was on the phone with the one woman at the apartment office Monday, I did ask her if there was ANYTHING ELSE!!!! Hahaha. I was shocked, that yesterday I went on my current apartment website to see my apartment posted for rent. Already!! So, after work I did start cleaning out closets, in case they start showing it, you know how people open closets....I have the linen closet by the guest bathroom all cleaned and straightened out. I have my work cut out for me now.
I am glad you did not get any of the horrible weather going on all over the mid part of the country. It was really awful up here.
Gareth, ain't spring fun?? Lol, here we will have pesky snow all day, and even some for tomorrow. But that snow won't amount to much at all. We were desperately in a deficit, as we were 10" below our snow amount for the winter. As of midnight, we here in GB just got 5", but that is what they are referring to as cement snow, so there was a lot of moisture with it. It is the awful winds that have been destructive, all over the area. There are even highways a bit north of us that are closed because of trees down and power lines too.
Lol, you had a haircut yesterday, Marsha has an apt for today, and mine is next Tuesday.
I paid an application fee at this new apartment, and since I can save so much money living there, I have not looked elsewhere, really, and won't, especially since she basically assured me that I will be approved.
Anngie, I hope your storm is just all rain, but I too hope you do not have the winds we have.
Thank you, about the process of getting that apartment. As we have said before, in time it will be just a memory, right?
I have thought about that too, whereas nobody can just go to church anytime, to sit and pray. Sad but the crazies in our country have taken that away from us.
Thank you, also about Bob. I am actually relieved to know he will not be calling me and kind of expecting me to carry the conversation.
I am not a big one for wearing perfume. I have one perfume I bought a couple summers ago, and rarely even remember to put it on. I worry I put too much on, and I hate when someone is overpowering with their scent.
I am so happy that storm has calmed down, somewhat. The storm warning is till 1pm. School is delayed 2 hours, which means I do not go to work till around an hour later and stay for half an hour longer. I have time to do a load of wash this morning, so I like that. I was lucky I did not lose power last night, it did flash a couple different times, but stayed on. Power outages are all over the place. I think I heard over 30,000 homes are without it.
I did hear it thundering a couple times too last night, that was pretty neat.
