Feeling better, now I just need some energyβ¦.at least itβs a little brighter outside and not rainingβ¦..hopefully that will help.
Eating wise, Iβm happy with the way things are going but I heard something on half size me that sounded interesting. You know how we can get into trouble with the little extras, like my Momβs pizza crust or taste testing while cooking, grabbing a couple of nuts or grapes. What if we reversed that, what if I left a few bites of planned food on the plate, or a spoon full of pudding. The thought is - instead of adding extra unplanned calories youβre subtracting themβ¦.reducing calories without much effortβ¦.I am such a clean plate eater, it might be a good way for me to break that habitβ¦
Wishing everyone a Wonderful, peaceful day!

Hey y'all. Haven't been doing great. Lots of imperfect sleep, but guess that goes with the territory (age). I do fine with skipping breakfast on 18/6 days, then have a healthy lunch, then it's all downhill from there. Can't seem to kick the sugar. Also have been struggling with plain old sadness: friends in the hospital or suffering or in impossible situations. Not to mention the heartbreak that is Haiti, Burma, Ukraine, Israel/Gaza, Nigeria, and so much more. I don't read much news but it's hard to completely avoid it. Sorry to be such a downer. On the other hand, I'm practicing gratefulness as much as I can.
Jan: I can't tell you how blessed and excited I am for Nick and all the info and resources you've found. So incredible! I'm encouraged to keep praying for all the "impossible" situations.
Lori: Glad you're feeling better.
Nancy: I'm so amazed that you seem completely back to normal (as far as activities and energy). Send me some of that energy!
Take care, all.

My eating isn't great - Given the whole food plan, I've been getting in peanuts in the shell and pistachios - also dried apricots. Unfortunately I've been eating too many of them. I'm going to stop my count until I do better.
Lori - I'm a clean plate eater and would never be able to leave something on the plate. Kudos to you if you can do it. So glad you're starting to feel better.
Meg - I saw the infectious disease specialist yesterday. She too was pleased that I'm back to normal with activities and thinks that's more important than any symptoms which she expects to go away the way they did in the past. It was all very encouraging.
