Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good early afternoon all. Up early (for me / 7:00) because I had a 9 am haircut. Need time for coffee and my iPad and quiet before I get ready to leave. I left at 8:30 and Stan was still sleeping. I fed the dog but didn’t let her out. Left Stan a note on his chair.
I came home and finished up the paperwork for the lawyer’s. Had to finish our budget portion and investments. Worked on it last night until I was fried - then finished it earlier. And got a migraine, probably stress induced. Will drop it off after I drop Stan off at boxing. Then maybe run to Target and go back and get him.
Dottie, sorry I didn’t explain it well. I’m not sure I understand it all. We need to set up a trust to protect assets if/when Stan would need either a nursing home or home health aides. And our wills/POA’s/health care directives are actually over 10 years old. I think we’ve had 2 granddaughters since we did those. 1 for sure! We have a meeting in 3+ weeks to go over all that we turned in today and then they’ll give us more homework I’m afraid.
Stuff is still not selling. Some may just end up getting donated and never listed. I feel so overwhelmed when I look around that I see I need to pick one area and finish it and then move on. I’m thinking I want to clear out the kids’ stuff downstairs and my storage room where that stuff is. And put some of the kid things I’m keeping on shelves in there. Have a clothing rack to see if DD wants for during their remodel. Then going upstairs and pulling all those extra clothes out of that closet. So I can get our friend in to do some wall repairs and paint.
Ok, my mind is a fog right now. Will check in tonight during the Wild game.

Waving to Joyce, hope you are doing okay.
Ruth, I hope the migraine goes away, you are probably right that it is from stress, take care of yourself. The amount of paperwork you have had to do seems overwhelming. It seems like you have been donating a lot so the piles should be lessening.
I have been doing 1 or 2 projects a day to get ready to leave. Bill keeps telling everyone there isn’t anything to do to get ready to leave, that is because he packs for himself and brings his golf clubs from the shed to the closet and he thinks that is it. He does do a few other things, but not much. It is getting very frustrating. My left shoulder bothers me when I try to sleep, probably rotator cuff, from what I read. I haven’t been able to sleep during the night for almost 3 weeks. The shoulder bothers me a little during the day but for some reason hurts at night. When I read about rotator cuff problems that is one of the symptoms. I’m also trying to limit doing too much with my left arm and shoulder, not easy when cleaning, but I’ll get it done.

Good evening all. Watching hockey. The migraine went away when I took the Extra Strength Excedrin. I take it as soon as I see the aura starting. Praying that never quits working.
Took Stan to boxing and then dropped off the paperwork. Met the receptionist/scheduler who was on vacation with her kids last week. She was kind of surprised that I had it ready so quickly. Told her I’d devoted most of this week to it. Stan said she may find I’m an over-achiever. I just don’t like things hanging over my head! Now unless they call that I’m missing something, I have 3 weeks of peace. We do have to work on a list of things we want the kids or grands or whomever to have. Things like jewelry, ham radio, some family things (a mantel clock that was Stan’s grandparents’ wedding present; a chair from his grandmother, little things like that.). So is going to be interesting to figure that out.
Dottie, sounds like Stan when we used to go camping. I’d get everything packed up; and I’m better at packing the car and/or trailer, so half the time while he was up at the bathroom with the kids I’d have everything ready to go home. We make it too easy for them.
I’m sure enjoying the daylight until almost 8:00 pm. Very close now.
More tomorrow!
