My appointment with the np went very well. I was telling her about us getting Rosie and how I pick her up to take her out and that Fred thinks I should put her on her leash to do that and she said actually I think you should continue that unless you are going somewhere where she needs to be on the leash as picking up Rosie is like lifting 12 pound weights every time you pick her up so adds more exercise along with the walking around the yard with her and getting down to play. Then she asked if I had seen my blood work numbers and I said yes I did and I know my cholesterol and triglycerides are high but I also know why. She said well I’m really not concerned about them as they really are not as bad as you seem to think they are and I definitely think you can bring them down easily by just tweaking your diet somewhat and it sounds like you are upping your exercise with Rosie and will be doing even more when you actually start walking her. She was so happy to hear Rosie’s story and said not only have you saved her but she is saving you by making you more active. She said no change to meds and no additional meds needed. She also put out authorizations for refills and said come back in six months.
Today Debbie and Jim will be coming and we’ve decided to go to 4:30 Mass as that way if they want to sleep in tomorrow they can. They said after Mass we could go right from church to dinner but I said well we have to come home first as we have to feed Rosie and I don’t want to be late on doing that. I thought funny how when planning something these days it all revolves around her but I love it!
She really is in tune with me as if I get up during the night for a bathroom break she stays in her bed but if it’s anywhere between 4:30-5 when I come out of the bathroom there she is waiting for me and heads right to the kitchen door and waits for me to put on my coat to take her out. Then when we come back in she follows me as I get her bed and babies out of the bedroom and put them in the living room. She then checks on her babies and follows me while I get my coffee and then settles down and goes back to sleep. She is such a wonderful addition to our lives that I can’t imagine not having her. One thing that she does a lot is punish her little blue boy baby. We find him all over the house as it seems like he’s a very bad boy so she won’t let him come in her bed unless it’s nighttime and if I bring him back to her she will pick him up and deposit him outside the bed either on the rug or right in front of the front door. Yesterday she was hilarious as after we got back from the doctor’s office and I ate and then sat down she was in the middle of the rug and suddenly charged me in my chair and put her paws on my knee and threw her head back as she was ticked off that I hadn’t done play time yet and she was demanding it! So I got down and boy did she play rough!

I love Rosie. Not a good night's sleep but it is what it is. Betty, I love to unscramble words. I will write them on paper and work on them. Coffee calling. Have a great weekend.

Rosie is definitely the new favorite pet of this forum LOL. She sounds like such a sweet girl and it seems she's settling in nicely. I think your nurse practitioner is right about her helping your health. As a matter of fact studies have shown that people who have dogs live longer and happier lives. I know that thanks to dash I get a lot more walks in than I would otherwise. I like to take pictures on my morning walk. This morning I took a snapshot of my neighbor's walkway which is just beautiful. He's in charge of our landscape committee here in our little townhouse community and is a big believer in native plants.

Kathy, like the new blankets, thanks for the tuck in with them every night. Sounds like you have been really worried about Jim. Have you noticed a lot of changes with him?
Shragae, love your pictures you post of your neighborhood. That's quite an entrance way at your neighbor's. Sure does remind me of Florida.
Sandy, Sounds like a good appointment with your NP. I find my Dr is always fine with my numbers even if the web site marks them high sometimes. He says the web site does not take age etc into consideration and just to wait until I hear from him. I don't panic anymore. He is happy with me so so am I.
I don't think you need a dog to get in exercise for the day but glad you have Rosie. she seems to have brightened up your days and that is a very good thing. I don't think you should let her get rough with playing with you/ You are the Mommy and kids need to be disciplined now and then even if it is just a firm NO!! you don't want her to think it is okay!! So happy you are enjoying having her and sounds like she is doing well at your house. Good for her and good for you and Fred.
I do need to make a quick trip to the small grocery store today. I found out yesterday that I don't have the Cream of Chicken soup that I need for the cheddar potato casserole for this week end. I will make that trip later today. This little grocery store is very busy in the mornings and I want to get in and out. Will see if DD needs anything today. Sure she is busy getting ready for the kids today. they will be in late this evening. I will see them tomorrow. Won't bother DD unless she needs something .
Betty I got all the words. Thanks for posting them. I like the scrambled word games. Hope your knee is better. up and down steps are hard on knees.

I set up my medication for the week. Then I put laundry in the dryer after I finished my breakfast. I really enjoy reading about Rosie. She sounds like so much fun. It's 48 degrees with 55 degrees predicted.

Connie: Yes, a lot of changes for Jim. He often spends the whole day in bed. Today he is up eating breakfast which is good but hopefully he won't go right back to bed when he is done. Often he doesn't know where he is....and he makes up things like "We have to move"....He thinks since we don't own the ranch anymore we'll have to get off it. My DS and DDIL own it now and they won't move us. They do all the work here and I still collect the rent from my grandkids in the third house. They also help me whenever I need help. I have GREAT kids!
See you all later for tuck in!

Fred is out cutting the grass as supposed to rain tomorrow so wanted to get it done before then. He opened the door to the porch so Rosie was in heaven sitting in her chair. Guess some animal ran in front of the porch as all of a sudden she started barking but I saw nothing. Of course her barking is what nobody who has a barker would classify as barking as after four barks she was done.
Plans sure can change in an instant. Got a text from Debbie cancelling coming as she is sick. Fever, headache and stomach issues. She felt so bad but I told her better she stay home rather than give us whatever she has as we don’t need that kind of gift! 😂
Fred said since plans were cancelled he’ll pick up dinner from our local Italian restaurant. So I’m getting their seafood pasta dish with their cheese soup. Not the healthiest but also I don’t have to cook and will have leftovers for tomorrow. Monday for our anniversary we’ll go to Texas Roadhouse. After that no eating out for a while.

Jim stayed up most of the day today so that was good.
Tucking you in now in our newest blanket. It looks like a nice bright sunny Spring day and our doggies are all playing together. We are sitting around them watching them play. I guess when the adults all love each other the doggies do too.....Sweet dreams!
