Happy Day All!
Loved all the responses on the sayings yesterday - and thanks, Lin, for the neat article with so many. I think I liked Mar's the best about something being better than a stick in the eye! Sounds like something my mother might have said!
Lin - great to hear the plans for your surgery! There sure are some generous, loving people in your life! Also, I know it makes you feel better to have it planned out. Sounds like everything is coming together in good time.
Got the fridge cleaned out yesterday - what a mess! So glad it's behind me.
Everyone up here has been talking about how needy their dogs are these days. One said she'd read somewhere it might be in response to the upcoming eclipse. That's seems a bit of a stretch to me, but who knows?
There must be some new pollen out there. I've been sneezing and blowing my nose since I got out of bed this morning. Literally! And, as we all know, sneezing the minute you get out of bed is not a great idea! Sheesh! The pollen here can really get heavy - sometimes you can see waves of it going through the woods.
Laundry is the plan for today, and I'm going to try to get a walk in. I've got to do something physical, even if it means I look like someone painted me yellow. It's supposed to finally warm up starting today which is good. Much needs trimming and I want to get my few containers ready for basil, parsley, cherry tomatoes, and maybe cilantro.
See y'all later. Have a good day. Cheers!

Good morning. Not a lot of problems with pollen yet. Nothing much has woken up yet. The grass is finally starting to get green but we need rain. Suppose to rain all day today but had a little during the night. Barely enough to wet the patio.
Not sure what I'll do today. Maybe one load of laundry, mostly towels. If it's not raining I'll go to the late service at church. That's about all I can think of right now. Probably my usual read, play computer games and watch mindless TV. Lynda is at the cabin and won't be home until late, Brian was here yesterday and I haven't heard from Ed this week. My frig could use a little attention too. Might some things in there that can go in the garbage before the pickup tomorrow.
I liked all the "mom" sayings too. I don't know if my mom said a lot of them but I know I did to my kids.
Have a great Sunday. bettyj

Good Morning, Ladies.
Setting up a new iPad is a royal pain. I downloaded WWF but none of my games are there. Don't know if I can get them, sent a note to them.
Chilly here today. I need to check my fridge too.
You all have a great day.

Geri, try signing in with FB. That's how I found them.
Dayle, DH just got a TENS unit for his cracked back vertabrae. Did you use one for your knee? This is new to us,
Got to get going if I am going to get a dinner made to take over to DB's so he can pop it in the oven tomorrow night after they get home from her surgery. I can make enough so we have chicken and dumplings too. Cooked in milk and cream if chicken soup, it makes its own gravy.
I get to do it again next week before dsil arrives, it is her favorite comfort food after two flights and long layover coming from Albany, NY. Across country, with baggage hassles and such. Flying is a real pain these days.
Actually had nothing going in Friday. So we are getting our COVID boosters for the newer version we had six months ago. do not need to get it from a traveler or waiting rooms with surgery coming, should have done it before since it takes ten days or more to work. Well, that will be ten days. Bec glad to get through this week.

Lin, from what I know, they use it as a treatment primarily for back injuries (spine). Never heard of it being used on joints. My SIL uses it often with her Osteoporosis in her back. Have seen it used in rehab, but again primarily for back injuries. I'm no expert.......
Geri, sorry about the grief on the new IPad. Did you have a name or ID for your games.... Maybe you can find them that way?
running before company comes.
Have good day all!

Good morning everyone
Well after 2 days of being lazy I am kicking into gear getting things done in the house.
DD#2 decided to not come to our house today. It was a good thing because that saved us a trip to pick her up from the resort. We will see her tomorrow afternoon before we go out to dinner with friends that evening.
Shocked I only gained 1 pound on the trip. I ate whatever I wanted. Definitely no points counting.

Ladies, I learned about a new site to me for library books on your iPad and Kindle. It's called Hoopla. The local Liberian told me about it. She said they may not have the newest books but there is never any wait for any book. I downloaded it and the movie Oppenhiemer is available to watch on your device, not on your TV. I don't think I can stare at my iPad for 3 hours to watch it. Just an FYI.

We have had Hoopla a long time. They get an interesting selection if tv shows. And a newer thing than overdrive for books and audio.
An article online about timeline of recovery shows a guy with a TENS thing above and below his knee. I think my dsil uses it for foot / ankle pain
got meal dropped off and back after long chat. Itβs a hour of driving. Got McDonald's on the way home since it was almost three and we had left before lunch.so our chicken and dumplings will wait until tomorrow. Woke from strange unpleasant dream at 5:30 and just could not settle, so I had toast and coffee. dog looked at me a if I were nuts and buried her head in her blankie. I walked her, fed us breakfast, hit grocery store, made the chicken and dumplings and glazed carrots, and by the time it was cool enough, packed up a box and we were off. Boy am I yawning now.
