Day 39 ā Keep Up with Exercise
We all know this is important.
Here are some suggestions from Beck on how to get yourself to exercise or get yourself to increase your exercise:
Focus on how you will feel when you finish exercising.
Put exercising in a NO Choice category.
Meet a friend or trainer.
Give yourself lots of credit.
Focus on your progress.
End your sessions with something positive.
Make sure you are doing the type of exercise you like.
How are you doing with getting yourself to exercise?
If you are exercising, why do you exercise?

I walked yesterday. I don't do it every day and probably have more days that I don't walk than that I do. I used to enjoy weight training and may get back to that as well now that we seem to have water for showers and sunshine to warm the water. We will see. The reason I exercise is to burn calories, keep strength and flexibility...etc, and the endorphins do make me feel better.

I walk now nearly daily, sometimes I'll take one day off per week. I do the Cardiac Gym twice a week, and I still need to work in my wall Pilates Springboard again at least 2 days per week.

I've had a set exercise schedule for over 20 years - Monday, Thursday, Saturday - walking or running, and Sunday, Tuesday, Friday - strength training with weights. I've kept to that schedule for all of these years, more or less, with a lot of flexibility to account for illness, injury, lack of time, too much stress or fatigue, etc. It makes it much easier to get it done. Now that I have more time, I've added in a couple of more things when I can get to them. The benefits are I'm stronger, I'm more energetic, I'm more flexible, I'm in a better mood after I do it, and also I can eat a little bit more without gaining weight.
I'd like to get my eating to be more habitual the I do with exercise. To me, it seems like a much more difficult thing to do.

I do well with exercise but realize what Iām doing is just to maintain fitness as I age. Ditto on the sentiment that Iād like to improve the eating side.

I have not exercised in a month due to personal issues, some of them interfering with exercise. My plan is to get back to it today but very gently so as not to trigger the same issues. Exercise does help but right now it is causing more problems than it is helping but I need to do it.
