Cloudy, rainy day here. Good though because we really need the rain.

Had my first outing alone since I started driving again. Went to church and then to Aldi for some fruit and other things I usually get there. Lin..I had a TENS unit several years ago for a back problem. Don't remember actually what it was for but it did help the pain. I used it for a long time and then it stopped working and they couldn't replace it or insurance wouldn't pay for another one, can't remember it's been probably 20 years ago.
Rainy day here and chilly. Got some house things done, read a bit and took a nap. Probably won't sleep well tonight because the nap was a little longer than planned. Here's a few more scrambled words for you. Sorry one was messed up the last time.

Again probably pretty easy. Gotta find something harder for you ladies to work on. Have a good night and a good Monday.

Betty, I have an appointment with the pain doctor about the implant. I have an appointment with a spine doctor about surgery. First I am scheduled for an MRI and X-rays. What would you recommend?
Eclipse. Will you watch it?

We got an e-mail from Texas Roadhouse about early dining specials from 3-5 so will go early. Hope it won’t be too crowded being a weeknight. That’s all we are planning on doing for our anniversary.
Yesterday Fred was very surprised as guess since Rosie decided he was her protector she actually went up to him to be petted. Should have seen the smile on his face! He was certainly a very happy person and now except when I take her out first thing she won’t move away from the gate until he’s in the yard with us! Took six weeks but like we both said baby steps.

Lucy, I would definitely keep the appt with the pain clinic and have the MRI and X-rays. What do the doctors say is wrong with your back. The neurosurgery doctors I saw said the last thing they recommend is surgery because of all the side effects.

So far the April we haven't had too many showers. We did have a really bad storm the other day where it was just pouring out but for the most part not a lot of rain so far this month.
Today is sunny and beautiful.
I had a ton of laundry to do yesterday. I do seem to spend a lot of time putting on your way and I think it's because my son likes to take two or three showers a day and constantly change his clothes. I can hardly wait until he's living on his own or with his wife and they have to deal with all this craziness!
Last night we ordered in some Italian food. I love eggplant parmesan. My son had chicken parm. We have a wonderful little Italian restaurant near us but they don't deliver and for some reason we just haven't really wanted to go out to eat in quite a while.
Sometimes you just have to have Italian!

Lucy, my brother is a retired paramedic/nurse with lots of joints problems. His back is really bad. He gets nerve blocking injections and something else. A friend too as hers sets off sciatica. so do get the tests and see what they can do for you.
hoping we are first in carpeting cleaning. this morning so bedroom dries out by doggie bedtime. Then blood work for surgery next month.

Jim still in bed at 10:10. I think I'll go get dressed and will probably wake him for breakfast. He never ate dinner last night. Not good idea to watch the eclipse....can blind you!......I will possibly watch it on TV. Vanessa's hubby weeded my rose garden yesterday so it looks MUCH better for sure.
Will see you all later for tuck in!

My problem is the spine is pinching my sciatic nerve. We did a stretch exercise in class that I am going to start doing at home. When I go to the chiropractor he stretches my back and I'm good for awhile. The pain med helps me get through the night which is when it is worse.

Lucy, the TENS machine might be worth a try. I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to surgery. It was considered but after they told me all the side effects and said it was the last option I was willing to do anything else. Mine is a vertebrae problem plus the stress fx in my sacrum. I also wasn't interested in the recovery time plus rehab time after back surgery.

.still had glasses from the last eclipse, so after everything got so dark I had to turn in lights and the carpet cleaner left, I went out and all we had left in AZ was a crescent about 1/8 of sun. It was very quiet here.
hope all the insane eclipse tourists get on their way safely.
Wed the carpet on the other side of the house gets done and we have to barricade a long opening to living room because THE BRAT SHREDS THE STYROFOAM BLOCKS! She followed me into the bedroom to get something and yanked out three from under a small flat bottom table and took off with her prize! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Thanks for your input on back surgery or not.
The eclipse didn't make it completely dark here. I didn't try to see it

It didn't get dark here either and I didn't have any special glasses so I didn't even try to see it. I looked at pictures online. Jim ate and went back to bed after eating "brunch" at 2;30pm. He is still in bed here at 9PM with no additional meals yet. I'll feed him before I go to bed.
Tucking you in now in our newest blanket. It looks like a nice bright sunny Spring day and our doggies are all playing together. We are sitting around them watching them play. I guess when the adults all love each other the doggies do too.....Sweet dreams!
