Each day, think about the positive actions that you made the day before and identify the challenges you are working on.
Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join.
If you are the first one to post each week, please copy, paste and get us started.
If you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas for following the plan.

Yes I Did: track everything, hydrate, make healthy choices, walk 30 minutes while reading, post reviews Yes I Can: have an OP day today, write the two reviews for books completed, start another book and hopefully finish it today
We talked to our son and his family last night and heard that they are still feeling residual jet lag due to spending spring break in Vietnam where the time difference is 12 hours. I am still trying to figure out the best time to go visit family in the USA but know I want to go this year. We have leftovers we can eat for lunch and I am looking forward to having another grain bowl with Mexican theme today for lunch or dinner.
There is nothing on my agenda till Friday when I will go with Rosalie to join a larger group touring Indira Guesthouse so have no reason NOT to be OP this week!
CAROL: You are right that we all need breaks. I get them from time to time due to internet cuts but am eager to get away for a longer period this year...maybe a month or so in the States. We will see. I need to look at taxes and the FBAR/FATCA online sites and see what I need to fill them out. I have no income but still need to fill out the forms <sigh>
NAT: So, how did pre-tracking work out for you? I have thought about trying to plan for a week but our meals usually rely on fresh produce so that impacts planning...can't plan to have strawberries in overnight oats if there are no strawberries available, for instance. Maybe I could simplify the planning and perhaps I have already. Breakfast is usually overnight oats OR egg and tomato on toast; lunch is usually a bowl or plate with carb, protein, veg, fruit, tsp olive oil, and sometimes dairy; and dinner is lighter and can be leftovers or something simple. Hmm...
Here's to a goal achieving week ahead!

Happy Monday and Eclipse day to all! I will be watching it later this week at dad's since he said he DVR'd several programs. Here I just noticed the little bit darkening in the house while still blue skies outside. Gorgeous day but still very chilly here. Later this week will be in the 60s, yay!
Carol, I feel like I'm the master of breaks LOL. Good to see you and hope you got a chance to enjoy the eclipse.
Cathy, hopefully you get to visit family this year. I have to be reminded where your kids live. I have a second cousin in Wisconsin who travels a lot (in her 30s) and usually by herself. She is in Vietnam right now. She has been to so many fascinating places. Fearless! I did manage to pretrack one meal yesterday and it went well, just had to swap out one veggie for another since I didn't realize we used up what I tracked!
Waves Sally, Jan, Janet!
WI this morning and I am down 2 lb for the week. Just about 11 lb down. Hopefully I'm back on the losing train this month!
Yes I CAN: Track, close window by 7pm, get my steps in, use my band or weights, eat my salad and fruit.....Today I checked all boxes.
See you tomorrow! Nat

No eclipse here and I forgot to watch it online. I won't see another in my lifetime unless I travel to see it somewhere in the world. Yesterday was a cool quiet day at home with overcast skies holding the potential for rain...which was just a drizzle in the end.
Yes I did stay OP and Yes I can do so again today.
Lunch today will be spinach with onions, bulgur, and black eyed peas OR rice cooked in a broth with tomato paste, onions, garlic, and zucchini with some garbanzo beans OR something made with eggplant. Might wait on the eggplant and have it in tomato sauce over pasta.
BOOKS: Nearly finished with the Amy Jarecki historical romance that has a young woman dressing up and studying to be a jockey in a time when such was forbidden, falling for a lord that she will help find the killer of her brother, then marrying and settling down to become a horse breeder while he raises bees and breeds sheep...not a thrilling read but a decent historical romance...though rather unbelievable. Next up (for tomorrow - yikes) is a book by Melissa Foster that is a contemporary romance and no doubt it will be steamy as many or her books are.
This week the only thing on my agenda is on Friday so will be home most of the week so not tempted by...this that or the other thing
NAT: Good job meeting your goals yesterday and for checking in!

Good Tuesday evening positive peeps! Well Cathy the next eclipse to pass over California is like 2045...if I'm lucky and have my parents genes I'll be around LOL! Enjoy your week of no temptations LOL
Waves to all! My hubby is on his way to Mississippi, long story short to hopefully get the last of aunt's estate handled, the house. There is a little family drama with his brother (shocker) who is wanting to keep it. Things were in place for that, but buying out hubby's portion. Now he is trying to be underhanded and do some things behind his back. So praying for no major drama and just get it handled. Back home Friday night.
Yes I DID: Check almost all boxes (no walk outside)
Yes I CAN: Keep kitchen closed. Hit my steps (done) Get some reading in, less tablet time
See you tomorrow! Nat

Another cool day with intermittent sunshine. I called to see if I could get a haircut but the salon is busy with eid/holy-day hair fixing for end of Ramadan and perhaps some other events? So, tomorrow I will go instead of today.
I finished and reviewed a book and am halfway through the one for today. We have leftovers for lunch plus fresh fava beans that we will have with garlic, lemon, and a bit of olive oil for either a side at dinner or lunch. Will finish the book by Melissa Foster and review it later today then see what book is up next.
I am dabbling with combining some of the old Weight Watchers Plans to come up with something I can live with forever. I have the old Core food lists from Australia and the USA but not England or Canada and plan to eat predominately from those foods, use weeklies for foods not zero-points on the food lists, hit the GHG's, and make healthy choices by using the dividing the plate portion sizes.
Yes I Can: Track, hydrate, stay positive, make healthy choices Yes I Did: have an OP day yesterday
NAT: I don't envy your husband having to deal with inheritance issues and a brother that may be out to take advantage of the situation. I will think positively that it all works out. I am sure he will be checking in with you for support and to vent while he is away.

Happy Wednesday.
Remember me??? March was crazy! I am just getting back to normal, and we have yet another couple of relatives coming to visit for a few days on Saturday. Dog sitting at my home, 2 huge dogs, cat sitting at neighbors, so many guests, medical appts to prep for knee replacement, all these things have taken every spare minute of my time! Plus, jury duty for Lisa on Monday, taxes due,....ugh! Looks like surgery won't be till June as it has been difficult getting appts.
Yes, I can... --keep up the momentum of Day 3 back on track. You know it feels really good to be in control again. --keep calm and carry on through the stress. --get back here daily.
Sweet Dreams Everyone,
Jan

Happy Thursday positive peeps! Cathy, I hope you have a safe trip tomorrow. Jan, good to see you, March was a blur for me and sounds like busy busy for you. But we are back!! Sorry you have to wait until June for surgery. Waves Carol, hope the grocery store didn't swallow you up LOL
Waves to Janet and Sally. Sally is having one long trip, good for her!
I'm down at dad's today. We didn't get as far as I had hoped taking care of the title on the mobile home, taking mom's name off and adding mine. We did get the info we need to proceed but now to deal with another county dept first before sending it all back to the first place. Hopefully I can do this online or phone and not have to drag dad down there. Anyway....eating not so good today. Will get my head back in gear. It's too HOT down here LOL! Spoke with hubby and things are in motion there. And actually brother left for driving back home to Michigan the day that hubby arrived. So no face to face drama. All is getting worked out. He is dealing with title company filing. The monies are in motion with the the aunt's finance people and will be going into our account soon. There will just be $5000 that we will have to wait on his brother to write out of his own account, so will not hold breath on that, if it happens it happens. Just want to wash hands of any financial involvement with him.
Yes I CAN: Be positive, make good choices, get back in gear, be grateful! and SMILE
See you later, Nat

Had fun yesterday. The home was gorgeous and must have been fun for the family to live in while raising their children. It only had one toilet so that was not easy...they had two to climb stairs to and one on the lower floor, too, but didn't tell anyone so the lines were long at times. Food was good, people interesting, and Rosalie and I shopped a bit and talked and she bought a blouse at an outlet. It was a fun day.
I still need to finish the book I started a couple days ago - too busy to read as I usually do. Might go to a nursery to look at plants later if my husband calls and finds they are open. Not sure what lunch will be but we have leftovers OR we have eggplant I can make into a pasta sauce, probably.
Hope to talk to our daughter this afternoon and hear how the move into her new home is coming along.

Good Saturday noon, positive peeps 🐥🐥
Cathy - sounds like you had fun at your brunch & shopping trip. I hope your internet behaves.
Nat - Haha, grocery didn't swallow me up....kinda felt like the other way around, LOL! Good luck getting things sorted out for your Dad. Oh, sorry about DH's family drama, we went through a mess when DBF's mom passed away over 10 years ago and were estranged from that whole family, i.e. his brother & the wife (who was the source of some bad feelings) and the nephews for several years. We didn't hear until after the fact that both nephews had married and one had a new baby. It took several years, but now my sweetie is at least talking to his brother again and he does exchange email with the nephews. I mostly am staying out of it, although we did send birthday gifts to the great nephew.
Jan - wow, sounds like you have been super busy! Enjoy all the company and make sure to rest!
Waving to Sally (where is she this time?) and Janet (who must be super busy!)
I have been tracking but going way over my points during what is turning out to be a very long "birthday season". I may have mentioned that my celebratory meals out started in mid-March, got sidetracked because of Eclipse mania in our area, and I was supposed to finish up by dining with friends tonight, but our friend's mom just passed away on Thursday so dinner is tentative, as we don't know the funeral plans yet, although they said there probably will be a memorial service next weekend.
Yes I DID: --get out for walks when it was sunny and dry, walked indoors the last two days (and today!) because of soaking rain. So, yay, getting lots of steps. --have lots of trouble sleeping again, maybe because of stress (about needing to finish taxes) but will continue with meditations at night --have a very WW-unfriendly lunch with galpal Thursday but tracked everything (Yes, tracking is the start of control!)
Yes I CAN: --finish taxes --go with the flow re: dinner plans etc. --wind down earlier
Be well! Carol

Happy Saturday early evening. House all cleaned and waiting for guest to drive in. Did not sleep well last night and today has not been the best at food choices. Being overly tired is a real trigger for me. The rest of the week I have done pretty well. Back on track. Really want to have 10 lbs off by June surgery date. It's doable but will take real focus. Chilly and expecting rain here...yet again. Love the green hills and the wildflowers. Cathy: I worry about your part of the world tonight. Sending waves of protection your way. Doorbell ringing..... Back soon. Jan

The scale was up (again) this morning and it is time to rein the eating in, track every bite-lick-taste (BLT), and make what I want to see on the scale become a reality so...onward and downward. Two meals tracked and I am on my way!
We talked to our daughter last night and hope to talk to our son and his family this evening. Staying in touch is so much easier now than it was when I married and moved here in 1978!
When I finish online with groups and such, I will read.
The embassy sent out an email telling people to stay abreast of the news, not make trips to the border between Israel and Lebanon, and basically the same things it had said in previous emails. I forwarded the email to our children last night and this morning my daughter had written back saying thank you and that she had seen the Beirut airport had cancelled all flights overnight. This morning there were four flights listed as coming in to land and a site posted to track what planes will be coming in. Nothing happened in Lebanon that I know of though.
My husband had a man come to plow part of our property today and is planting for the summer. Hopefully we will have a good olive harvest this year and also the moles will leave his vegetable garden alone - they usually get more than we do.
I started the thread that will begin on the 15th and decided to leave it up because it is already there and who knows what internet will be like tomorrow
BOOKS: I finished and reviewed A TASTE OF WHISKEY by Melissa Foster - contemporary romance with single father and woman he works with on a ranch getting together - it was okay but not my favorite by the author. Also finished and reviewed ERASE ME by May McGoldrick/Jan Coffey - second in a series about time travel with two people going back in time with one trying to erase someone and the other trying to keep that person from being erased from history. A bit of a romance and a bit like Mr. and Mrs Smith. Just started reading THE THERAPY ROOM by Sam Baron and it is...not thrilling me. It is about an FBI agent (female) with ADHD and Autistic diagnosis who is widowed, has a 7 year old deaf daughter, lives with her sister-in-law and...as I read the ending...ends up kidnapped by a serial killer, escapes, and probably lives to have another book about her. I will skim the middle as I am not compelled to read this one word for word AND it disappears in 24 hours or less. Then...will see what is up next or perhaps if anything else will be archived soon.
CAROLE: I laughed when you commented on the supermarket and it or you swallowing up the other. I have had a few not-on-program meals and the scale has told me I need to make some changes to see the numbers going down again so...that is what is happening beginning this morning!
JAN: I'm sorry you are worrying about me. We are on the top of a hill overlooking the sea and a valley on the other side with the foothills that climb up to the park with The Cedars of Lebanon (or some of them). We are wise and don't go out and about when it is unsafe, my husband has his ear to the news most of the time, and after so many years in the Middle East are old hands at watching, waiting, assessing, and staying safe. It is a mess, in the region though.

Hi, y'all! I'm just popping in to say hi, I am thinking of you. Still working on tax forms, found I had misinterpreted some instructions and got myself all tangled up. Then had trouble finding some documents from the 1980s when Old House was purchased and upgraded. Well, enough complaining, off I go to wrap it up!
Be well! Carol
