Those who have committed to being the best they can be. A place to come and share. A group that is there for one another. Though there is a list, it changes from time to time. Let us know if you might be interested in joining us and I will add your name to the list.

We have overcast skies that may bring rain. I am back in winter clothing and have added a blanket to my bed. Weird how the weather can change on a dime. We talked to our son and his family - they are still dealing with jet lag as there are twelve hours difference between their time zone and Vietnam where they were last over a week ago.
I have finished two books that I need to write reviews for and then post and will start a new book today while walking. We have leftovers for lunch and I look forward to a bowl of rice and beans topped with cabbage, salsa, and a garlicky yogurt sauce.
LYNN: My daughter bought travel insurance for us. I did have a fall but didn't need to be seen so it was just that, insurance. One of these days the insurance might be warranted but it usually isn't. Let us know if you see the eclipse. Next one in Lebanon isn't till 2200 and I know I won't be here to see that one
BEVERLY: I am sure your husband is ready to be home in his own environment and I can understand why you would want him to be stronger. My father who was six foot tall ended up going from working one day to finding out he might die in days do to blockage of his bile ducts. They couldn't "fix" him but did put in a stent drain for him to get a few things done before he died six months later. He was pretty much in bed but would get up to use the toilet until he fell the second time. The first was due to sudden decrease in blood pressure and the second had to do with an infection and drop in blood pressure. After that fall he refused to get up again. I wonder if your husband will fear the pain of falling in the future. Does he have a walker to support himself with? It is so tough...on him and on you. Here's hoping he can get into rehab and get stronger!
CHERRY: Can't wait to hear about all the fun you are having!

Hello all,
Still writing from DH's bedside, we are still at the hospital. They told us again this morning that there were NO BEDS available in the re-hab section!!! I am about the easiest going person on earth, but when something affects someone that I love, I go bullistic. I was so upset, as we have waited here all weekend with him getting no therapy! After I had my little fit, the person in charge of the re-hab unit came around & said they would have him a room by 2 pm tomorrow. I apologized for my little outburst, but I really couldn't help myself. We have been here the last 4 hospital stays, every Dr & every therapist he has had has said that he needs in-patient therapy. Hopefully, it will work out & he will get down there tomorrow. Well, enough of my rant!
I had a dentist appt today & the eclipse was at it's height for our area when I got there. All the employees were outside, with their glasses on looking up. They had an extra pair of glasses, so I got to watch for a few minutes! It was amazing. The next on that we will be able to see will be 30 yrs from now. I won't be here & if I am, I won't know where I am. LOL. The temperature dropped about 15 to 20 deg during the eclipse.
Have a great Monday evening everyone

Cathy, I did find insurance and we are all set. Bev, I hope by tomorrow all is settled and DH can start his rehab!!
We did see the eclipse. It was a little more than 3/4 here, not total. We used our glasses to see it. It was funny as the birds started chirping even with the eclipse that we could see.
I had PT today. First time since the hospital. It felt pretty good and it was a beautiful day out!
Doing the final prep for our trip in two weeks.
Have a good sleep!
