Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Happy Eclipse Day!
Heading to work soon. Just wanted to get us started. Iâll be back later.
Update: Eclipse just finished. Very cloudy day, but I was able to see the beginning until about 3/4 covered, then a bit later saw a couple of seconds of the total eclipse. It got so dark for about 4 minutes. Incredible experience. I was in a chair in my yard, talking with my neighbor. Now time for a beer đ

Joyce, your view of the eclipse sounds wonderful. We had a partial here and it didnât get dark. Nice that you could help out Tammy by working in the morning for her. Bill and I enjoy live music and we have seen some great concerts at our casino and the concerts are free.
Ruth, hope you were able to deliver the laundry and boxes between the rain storms. I hope the sleep situation gets straightened out. Bill takes naps and then isnât sleepy at night sometimes. I wake him up after an hour because I think it is more important for him to go to bed at a decent time at night.
Martha, glad you got the things you needed at the store. I have to bag my own groceries most of the time. I do some shopping at Aldiâs and that is bag your own but even at the regular grocery stores I usually have to bag my own. The two stores I go to most of the time have special needs baggers and they were told not to touch the cloth/canvas bags that people bring. So they stand there and watch people bag. They will bag the groceries for you but you have to pay a 10 cent tax for a paper bag that rips before I leave the store. So I bring my reusable bags and bag my own.
Bill and I watched the eclipse for a little while this afternoon. There was a group of people at the pool and we all had glasses. It was interesting to watch. We have most of our things packed and tomorrow I will do a quick cleaning of all the rooms and throw away a few things from the fridge. We leave for the airport at 8:15 Wednesday morning. Looks like the weather will be a little cool and possibly raining when we land.

Good night all. Probably wonât be anyone seeing this until morning, but Iâm going to check in anyway.
We did not end up going anywhere yesterday since it was raining so hard. Just hung around home. Going to DSâs to pick up laundry on Wednesday morning while Stan is at his Pedaling class. I can get to DSâs and back in the time he has class and a shower. DDâs family is leaving for a short spring break trip so we wonât see them until next week. Boxes will keep.
Today was not a fun day. Got up and my neck/shoulders/part of head so tight that I had a headache from it. And I had that dumb temp. crown come out again yesterday, so had to have it replaced this afternoon. The tech just made a totally new one and put it on. And I got a message from my eye appt office that the dr is going to be on vacation when Iâm to go in June and couldnât see him until August. So I took another provider (but sheâs an optometrist) and can get in next week. Hopefully itâll be ok to just get a prescription for new glasses from her. I donât think I have any other eye issues. Then I was locked out of my HealthPartnerâs account and I was to have a zoom meeting with the dietician. Luckily they sent me a link outside of the site for the meeting so that went off ok. And I was on hold after for 25 min to get help from their IT dept to get back into the site. Figured out what the issue was and we fixed it. Got a really helpful IT person. Still no word from Stanâs doctor today/tonight about his message we sent. He was really having issues yesterday with swallowing and feeling like he was choking. Some more tremors and other issues. Hope she contacts him tomorrow early about upping his meds or adding something else in. This disease is a real roller coaster. I still have some headache tonight but hopefully will be better with todayâs things taken care of.
I didnât get much else done today but I guess thatâs ok. I did make a big pot of chili for dinner and that was good. Kitchen is cleaned up so thatâs good.
Dottie, safe travels on Wednesday. Youâll enjoy being back in your ânewâ house. Must still have that new house smell. Maybe check the senior center or church for people who like to play cards. Our little town here (15,000) has a Senior Group and they meet weekly (?) for cards. They meet in a city meeting room. They lunch occasionally before cards. And our school district also has a Senior Center where they sell crafts, they hold classes, have groups for cards and things and do some trips. Maybe there are some things like that you could look into.
ok, going to get ready for bed. Waving to Joy & Martha. Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow! Will check in at some point. Night all!
