Day 40 – Enrich Your Life
The main thrust of this chapter is to not to put your life on hold while you lose weight but for you to go out and enjoy life now, the idea being that if you are out enjoying yourself your mood lifts and you have more energy and enthusiasm for weight loss.
Do you have anything new and different coming up in your life?
What things do you do outside of managing your weight and getting fit that enrich your life?

We have an online subscription to the Berlin Philharmonic and enjoy their music a few times a month during the season. We also occasionally go to soccer games.

Do you have anything new and different coming up in your life? * Friday Rosalie and I are going to the Indira Guesthouse with a group of women. We will be given a tour, have brunch, and will be able to walk the estate. I don't have anything else this week BUT do have an upcoming Cake Lair gathering with puddings as the item to bring for sampling.
What things do you do outside of managing your weight and getting fit that enrich your life? * American Women's Club events * Getting together with friends * Reading and reviewing books - have a judging event for books coming up soon to read and score for the awards

I don't think I ever limited enriching my life because of my weight. But getting to my goal weight often helped me feel more confident in social situations - visiting with family and friends, theater, concerts, museums. It also helped me be more able to engage in outdoor activities - walks, hikes, going to the beach. I've always done all of these and still do.

A lot more socializing than previously. As far as it being weight related, I enjoy fashion and not having to struggle to find stuff that fits when I'm traveling and seeing friends. And being physically able to travel.

I never limited doing things because of my weight. I spend a lot of time making things and learning how to make things besides the usual cooking (which I enjoy most days), cleaning (dislike but like how things are after) and yard work (like in good weather). I also read and watch BBC documentaries on subjects I find interesting.

I haven't ever really limited alot but then I realized I don't go to the beach that often because I dont want to wear a swim suit in public. I'm getting better about that!
