My girlfriend and I have been on ww for 15 days and been within our points each day. I have lost 5 lbs but she is getting frustrated as she has seen no weight loss as of yet. Any thoughts would be appreciated

rondo hi there and welcome!! Congrats on your fabulous loss 👏👏👏 I know you're going to get lots of great advice over the next few days, this group is awesome. The best advice I could give to your friend is to take a few days and double track to get an idea where she is coming in calorie wise. It is really easy to over do it on the zero point foods. A couple of good sites for calorie counting are MyFitnessPal and Healthi. Also have her make sure she's getting her water in. It sometimes takes awhile to see results so have her hang in there but if things don't start moving, have her come here and we can help her tweak things up. 😉

I am not sure what the program is at the moment or which foods are zero points BUT my suggestions would be to:
* track honestly * perhaps see what a "portion" size is for any given zero point food and begin with that and see if I was satisfied before adding more food
* make sure to get a balanced diet * hydrate * get enough sleep
Weight loss is never the same for two people who do an eating program together. One will lose more quickly for a number of reasons. So...your girlfriend shouldn't compare her loss with yours as you probably have different metabolisms.
Have you tried looking through some of the websites that have recipes? Some people do better when they plan their meals in advance and pre-track.
Wishing you both much success. Do let us know how you are both doing and have her check in, as Deb mentioned, if she has specific questions. I am sure your support is a big help to her, too.

rondo, Welcome to the boards! I hope you come back many times for all the advice and support everyone here has to offer. They all been a huge help to me over the years. I agree with everything DebDoesWW, and cathygeha, said. Especially the tracking honestly. I know that I will just log the food but not the actual portion, and that makes a huge difference. I'm not sure what that 0 Points food currently are, but they are not 0 calories. I remember back when eggs were 0 points and I went from 2 eggs a day to 4 eggs a day. Knowing that this would have doubled my original points and the calories, but I still did it. Which obviously did not have the desired result for me. I wish you both continued success and please continue reach out to the boards.

rondo, Hi and welcome to these boards! In addition to the great advice you've gotten already, I just want to mention that tracking and portion sizes means that everything you eat has to be weighed or measured. And although WW doesn't require tracking for 0 point foods, I think it's a great idea to weigh and measure those too, at least for a few weeks in the beginning. I'm one who is really reluctant to track, but I find that when I don't, my weight is much harder to manage. So I keep at it, even if I do take brief breaks from it once in a while.

Try keeping 0 point foods to the default amount for a week - for example, salsa is 0 for a 1/4 cup. Apple is 0 for one apple, etc.
Just a thought - has she also begun exercising after being sedentary?
