Good morning all! Grab some coffee and check on in β
So they've put Mom on yet a different antibiotic. And all of this was started FROM the antibioticsπ€¦ββοΈ if this doesn't work they're going to send her to a specialist. π€π I am beyond tired but power has been restored and I don't have to be up at dawn so I may sleep in.
Just getting us started π
I am IN! Have a great day friends πππ

DebDoesWW, I'm so sorry to hear about everything with your mom. I didn't realize the power was out. I'm glad it's back on. Please try to rest when you can. (((((reneinitaly))))) The only thing I have to say about today is... Menopause sucks! I hope everyone can have a great day.

DebDoesWW, I am glad your power is back on. Prayers for your Mom (and you) that the new medicine helps her. A specialist might be the answer you need. Take care of yourself.

I'm IN for THURSDAY! πreneinitalyπ + πππ. ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π DebDoesWW, I'm glad that your power's back; I wish your mom's medicos could "find the power" - the right treatment - to clear up the infection. Today's a gray and slightly gloomy day. Drizzly. Cool enough to need a sweatshirt. It will do. We've already done a ShopRite run so we can continue to feed the Kressling as he stops in for breakfast after his morning shift as a crossing guard. Coffee... βββ... need more... π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π± Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all!π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±

DebDoesWW , wow Deb, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope the new antibiotic clears things up quick and she feels better soon. I'm glad to hear you got your power back on. Hope you can get some rest. Hi all! We got back in really late last night. What an experience! On the way out there we kept saying, even if the weather doesn't cooperate for the eclipse, the falls will be awe-inspiring. Were they ever! After two great blue-sky days on the 6th and 7th, the clouds rolled in for the 8th. It really wasn't looking good for the eclipse but, we set up the cooler and camp chairs anyway. We were soon settled in and hoping for a miracle, along with countless others who had made their way there for the experience. A roar went up from the crowd during a split-second thinning of the clouds. It was just enough to make out a white-hot crescent before being veiled again. Glasses on, glasses off. There were three more "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" glimpses, each one further on along on the path. And every time, the crowds went wild before heavier clouds cast their pall. Glasses on, glasses off. The loud cheers followed by abrupt silence was disorienting in a roller coaster way. What time is it?! What time is it?! Everyone was waiting with bated breath when unbelievably, and against all odds, a small hole opened in the sky and BOOM! The diamond ring appeared. And then, totality. The place erupted! We couldn't believe our good fortune and just like that, the hole in the sky collapsed, obscuring our view. Darkness fell quickly, triggering street and city lights to come on. There was also a big drop in temperature. It was surreal. By around the three minute mark, I was seriously second-guessing my jacket choice. lol We talked with our "neighbors", swapping impressions and snacks while the light and relative warmth returned. I wondered about the family of four and the couple we had met days earlier that checked out that morning to drive to a better viewing area. We couldn't imagine doing that ourselves but, hoped they got lucky. Our experience wasn't textbook perfect but, we felt really blessed with what we encountered. By the time we got back to our hotel room, the skies were trying to clear and by dinner, they were back to blue. Just wow!

doordie50, what a neat time. I've read that many people had "the skies cleared just at the right time" experience; almost like the Guardian Angels were working overtime to help people see the eclipse. I'm glad you were there!
