If I was , for example, involved volunteering with an event for children that included the activities on the list, or maybe at a big family reunion or something like that, I would be glad help and to join in with the activities. Would have to remember with some to be aware and be cautious...(thinking of slippery rocks in a stream, for example, even though that was something I enjoyed when I was a child.)
Our yard is not a perfect grassy lawn, there is some clover (and dandelions and others)...I do sometimes look a bit to see if there are any 4-leaf clovers to be found.
I don't think there are any parks or such that have outdoor exercise equipment like that....although, I haven't looked. I think I might feel self-conscious using them. But, that's just me...it would be a good city asset to have available for anyone to use at anytime.

I'm not aware either of any parks nearby with outdoor exercise equipment for adults; if there were, I'd like to swing on the swings. I always enjoyed that as a kid and as a young adult. I clicked on the link about 44 Fun Things to Do on a Rainy Day at Home and would do several of the first ones listed. This was a fun article, jasimons , Judy! Thanks for finding it!

No parks that I know of nearby that are available for adults or children. I remember that when my children were little I would take them to play and at one point was able to use the monkey bars and make it across and also do a chin-up after getting down to 135 pounds on WW and doing some weight training (1984) what a memory!

I don't think we have or ever have had any outdoor equipment for adults. As for other things there were gyms that you could be a member of or use on a daily basis. When DH and I lived in town we did go to gyms but not every day so we used them just once in awhile. I would take advantage of some of the special classes there, Yoga, Zumba or Jazzercise. I did some after I got all crippled up with arthritis, but now I don't after DH passed and my left arm got damaged from my RA. I have modified things at home and when I have to go places for appointments, but I don't go anywhere much otherwise. I used to go to a Garden Club, but after Covid I just quit going. I do spend time outdoors with gardening in the summer, mostly raised beds and large flower pots in the yard and smaller pots on the deck. However I have pretty much quit starting plants in the house and moving them to the greenhouse. I didn't get anything done until now, after my trip to Florida, but I am going to start a few peppers, tomatoes and maybe some zucchini and summer squash. I also do lots of the things listed in the mindfulness part. I listen to rain, bird watch, and lots of the other things mentioned. I don't pet a bunny, watch Oscar movies (maybe once in awhile if they are on line), visit the zoo, or paint my nails. Once in awhile I'll do a few of the other things, like get a bouquet with tulips and daffodils in them or bring in peonies or lilacs to use in a vase, etc. To Holly Gail, who doesn't have anyplace to plant basil, some varieties of basil can be grown in a pot in the house if you have an eastern, southern, or western window exposure. I bring in some of my herbs and geraniums for winter and set them where they can get the sun. I grow all of them in pots so they can be brought in.

We are so very fortunate to live about 3 mi from Montgomery Bell State Park. It is thousands of acres of mostly forest. There are several playgrounds for children in the park. There are a lot of picnic areas, some with grills & electricity. There is also a public swimming area in one of the lakes. It is beautiful there & so peaceful. The only adult activities there that I am aware of is walking. There are many walking trails. We often take the park for granted because we are so close to it. There are several other playgrounds & park-like settings for kids, but as far as I know, there is nothing for adults, just several walking trails at various places.
I am fighting depression as my DH has been very sick, still is. I am trying to think more positive.
Holly, last week I came across a herb garden at my local super market. It had basil, oregano, rosemary & a couple of herbs that I didn't recognize. The container was about 14" square. I bought one for my DBIL & DSIL. They are both handicapped & unable to do any gardening. They only have a screened in back porch. They loved the herb garden. They are Italian, so they use a lot of herbs. They will just keep it on the porch. You could do it in a window or a small patio.

To cathygeha, You mentioned that you would like to grow corn, but everything eats it. There is a variety of corn that is made to grow in a pot. I have tried that variety of corn and was successful in growing it in a pot on the deck. There it can be covered so the birds can't get at it. Those kind of birds don't come on my deck so I didn't need to cover it, and part of the time it can be sitting under the deck overhang from the house. You maybe can't get get that variety in Lebanon, but you can from the US, or someone from the US and get it and send it to you.

cherryt38, My husband is the one who spends time in the garden. We have underground moles or gophers or some such thing that eat the roots of plants and annoy him greatly. We might go to a nursery today for him to see if there are plants he wants for the garden...not something I am eager to do but will tag along if he really does want to go. Thank you for the information on the corn.
