Good morning
46, cloudy going to 57
Gareth, I called the apartment office, they are still waiting on the paperwork from HR at the school district office, so I called there, and had to leave a message. All I can do at this point.
Right, about the cysts. That is what I was told when they told me about the one on my kidney. I have not given it a thought till you mentioned yours.
That guy that makes videos about his gardening and decorating his big old farmhouse in southeast Iowa always mentions that the wind is a normal part of living in Iowa. He is in a flat part of the state, so I guess he gets it all the time, like you. We are expected to get wind gusts today. Thanks for the warning about that book.
Nice to have a knowledgeable chiropractor.
Robin, with your size of house, and working and having such an active social life, I would have a cleaning person too. Whatever happened to the woman you had right before Covid? Did she go back to her homeland?
So if I am reading it right, you are paying $1,000 per month for all of your supplement mental insurance coverage, right? Some, maybe many months you might not use it, so you pay quite a bit for that. The most out of pocket I had to pay last year was $20. for a TSH test when I complained to my doctor about my sweating issue, which was in normal range. I think my total bill for the year last year for my scripts was $1,600. Does yours cover such things as eyeglasses and exams, anything for dental?
Marsha, yay on the carpets being cleaned, you are so close to being back to normal!!! Wednesday was such a perfect day! We would have grilled out too, if we were in our house. I am surprised I didn't smell grills going at all out here.
Thanks for the info about gold lessons, I will put that in the back of my mind, and hope it doesn't sneak out, lol. Once my life gets settled, it just may be something to do.
Back in the day, I had thought I would work till you can get the max amount from SS. That is such a good idea, you are getting so close to accomplishing that.
One DGD has an ear infection, the other, that goes to the school I work at has Influenza B. That birthday party for DSIL set for tonight at the Moose is cancelled, as DD does not want to leave DGD at home sick.
Carol, I am sorry, I do not know why I assumed your DDIL worked for a school system.
Same here, I was surprised schools took little kids outside for the eclipse, what with having to keep those glasses on. You always have those certain kids that fidget around with something on their faces and take it off.
I could have stayed over yesterday for a tornado warning test, but said thanks but no thanks, as I was there for one last year, and somewhat know what to do. Yesterday was the first day I could go right home from work, and I needed to get home for something anyway.
I remember those frumpy house dresses our elderly women would wear when we were kids. I can't imagine they wore them as fashion statements, lol.
That white streak you had years ago has been a fashion statement these last few years, although I would never do that one.
Pinky, I just called the apartment office, before work yesterday, I didn't run over there.
How was the friend doing, that had the knee surgery?
I sure do miss those concerts the grands were in back in the day. How nice that 5 of the kids are in it!!
Hope everything goes well for today's service.
I am talking to another man...shocker I know, lol. This man lives in Pulaski, a small town, which is approx. 8 miles from me. I met him on Facebook dating. We talked on the phone, (he is on landline, does NOT have a cell or smart phone!!) He has a Kindle but is not very informed how it works. He is 74, and we are now friends on FB, and I see his birthday is in June, so he will be turning 75 soon. We chatted yesterday afternoon for 1.5 hours. We are meeting Sunday at the wildlife sanctuary, as I was planning on going there for a walk, even though I should be spending the day packing up stuff to go to the resale shop. We will walk around on the wooded trails, then maybe go out for an early dinner. He is not looking for a romantic companion, just a close friend, someone to go to shows, events, Packer games, things like that. He is a talker! We have a lot of things in common, except we are of different political parties, and decided we will keep our thoughts about that to ourselves.
