WOBBLY- advancing count this one day C81/D14. Not TRE (ate from 9am to 6pm), ate 2.5 candy bars :-0. So. Many. Carbs!! On the road, stressed, and I broke my fast with a lunch that was provided - it was vegetarian Thai (which I love), but it was vegan pod Thai (noodles), with a side of fried rice with potatoes. There was one small shared dish of vegetables and mushrooms, which was a small amount. I think that many carbs set me up for feeling starved for more carbs. Oh well - on the road for 8+ hours today. Looking forward to the road trip :-) Nancy - hope today is within the healthy lines you set for yourself. Jan - so glad you enjoyed the eclipse and had a lovely day Meg - hope the 18/6 is working for you. I bought a case of LaCroix Plain Mineral (bubbly) water. It's in the front seat of my car along with a plain (no flavor) packet of electrolytes (basically salt). Those two items REALLY HELP me with my hunger! I don't necessarily recommend the electrolyte I use as it is high sodium, but I have no blood pressure issues and my chiropractor (who studied nutrition) recommended it to me to take along with the TRE and fasting. drinklmnt.com/products/lmnt-recharge-electrolyte-drink?variant=16358367232034 Lori - Happy Friday!! Hope you have a lovely weekend ahead with a meeting, friends, hikes, and porch time. Time to start driving!! Kathy

Good morning. Successful 18/6 yesterday. Today will be 3 meals, no snacking, no sugar. Hoping for some momentum! Today I may be booking airline tickets for Madrid next spring. Scary to plan that far out, but we want to use points for business class, so that's what you have to do. Eek.
Nancy: Hoping for a strong day for you.
Kathy: Yeah, those carbs just suck you in. Can't imagine how hard this is for you on the road. But remember you found the fasting really easy while traveling. Do you have plans to do that? Thanks for the tip about electrolytes. I don't fast that long, so don't think I need them, plus I'm on blood pressure meds.
Waving to Jan and Lori. We're supposed to have a very warm weekend. Hope I feel well enough to get out for a walk.
Peace.

Nancy, enjoy your visit with Grace! Get all the Wedding scoop….
Jan, glad your week went well…..Crazy how fast time is going, I can’t believe it’s the middle of April already….and May’s calendar is already packed with a Christening, Baby Shower and a College Graduation…..
Kathy, those darn carbs…..hope you were able to get right back to your TRE…Safe travels!!!
Meg, Madrid, How Exciting! It may seem far away but it will sneak up on you and be here before you know it….hope you can purchase travel insurance for peace of mind….

I'm thinking of doing something drastic - like getting rid of all the non whole foods in my house and starting fresh on Monday. First I will be reading another book I got entitled "The Whole Food Guide to Strong Bones". It's the first whole food book I've found that isn't against chicken, fish and even some red meat. I'm just starting it, and don't know where it will lead, but it's a start. This may sound crazy but I think a lot of the eating I've been doing is just to get rid of the sugary and processed food. Instead of swallowing it all, I may just as well toss it but I haven't made a final decision. There are some iffy foods which I may keep. For example the Golden potato pancakes with the following ingredients: Fresh potatoes, cracker meal (wheat flour), fresh onions, water, canola oil, eg whites, whole egs, salt, white pepper. The only negative I can see is wheat flour instead of whole wheat flour. I'm also thinking of allowing my Sara Lee bread first ingredient "whole wheat flour". I'll allow my salad but the dressing may not be perfect. The underlying foods will be fruits and veggies, real butter, fish, chicken, loin lamb chops, filet mignon, calves liver, 93% ground beef, cheese, milk. I'll toss all of the remaining nutrisystem meals, cereals except maybe the Kashi brand, chips, fiber one brownies, any other cookies or crackers but maybe keep the whole grain triscuits or fit n light 7 grain wasa crisp bread. No more soups unless home made, no more deli and so forth. I'll keep the nuts but stick with the suggested portion size. I'm just thinking outloud right now and am, as always, open to suggestion. In my head I'm saying the road to H___ is paved with good intentions, but I have to keep trying.
Kathy - Today I was no better. We aren't called the Binge Enders Challenge for no reason.
Meg - Yeah for the successful 18/6 day and plan for 3 meals without snacks or sugar. Madrid trip sounds awesome. All my flying has been on frequent flyer miles which is great since they can be switched or cancelled for any reason.
Lori - It will be nice to have a mother-less weekend without going away - sort of like a sta-cation. Enjoy!
