Today was one of those days when all I wanted to do was sleep. Tried to get outside for a while it was a beautiful day. Did take Ozzie out so he could get some fresh air but still don't feel comfortable walking him and everyone was busy. Pat was working on her yard and the neighbor who walks Ozzie was in Virginia visiting her son. Glad some of you enjoyed the riddles last night. I'll get some more posted tomorrow night.

Nothing going on here. Got the quote on replacing the water line and he said it will depend on if it takes half a day or the whole day but the most it would be is $2,000. I told Fred these next few months are going to be expensive as in a couple of weeks the tree guy will be coming to trim the branches off a tree that hangs over the house which is $1,200. Then if he ever gets a landscaper out to roll the backyard there will be that expense and have no idea what that will be but I’m sure at least $1,000. Then four college graduations - two grandsons getting bachelors, Maija’s boyfriend Tim getting his bachelors and our granddaughter Morgan getting her Masters before entering med school this summer. Then the wedding in August. Plus the boarding of Rosie for the college graduations in Missouri - can’t attend all of them as they’re all on the same weekend. Then the wedding which also means boarding Rosie. Plus the cost of hotels and of course an outfit for me for the wedding. WHEW! Oh well just go with the flow. Fred just says well we have the money so not a problem as far as he’s concerned. He feels we’ve helped our kids when they need it so he isn’t hanging onto money just to leave it to them and if there’s any left when we die fine and if not that’s fine as well.

Isn't it crazy how everything these days seems to be in the thousands of dollars? I replaced my upstairs carpet a couple of years ago. I replaced the staircase as well with luxury vinyl...
The labor cost was about the same or maybe even a little more than the actual cost of supplies. Still I'm very happy with my decision. The carpet had just gotten so dirty that you couldn't really clean it anymore and the nice thing about luxury vinyl is you can pretty much clean it with just a little soap and water.
I recently checked my Medicare account and they paid for the shoulder surgery thank heavens. I need a should have but you never know for sure especially where insurance is concerned. That is one less worry.
My son is doing very well. He is still a straight A student and was recently told that he is number one not only in his class but in the entire social work program. I'm very proud of him.
My father loved to write poetry. Even as a child he became well known for this and was published in Connecticut newspapers. He gave it up as he reached adulthood because he was just too busy with family and business. My son is also an excellent poet and when my father was alive they would sometimes share poetry which was really lovely.
The other day my son read a poem to me that he'd written and it was really excellent. Apparently he's getting some notoriety around campus for his ability and this makes him very happy.
I hope everyone is a wonderful day Shabbat shalom.

I set up my medication for the week. I'm thinking about having a couple of rooms painted. I don't really like the color the previous owner had. It's all a shade of brown. I like blues. It's bright and sunny outside. The predicted high is 70 degrees.

The wind continues to blow but rain has stopped for now, some blue sky but still lot of dark clouds. Sunshine now and then but It is 47° out there and that wind is cold, goes right through you but I peeked ahead a couple of days and saw 70°. Hooray, hope it is true. But for today still not out doors doing anything but getting mail and paper out of the boxes. even super cold in garage so nothing getting done out there today.
I have to stop at my local paint store and get a gallon of touch up exterior paint. can use exterior inside as well and do have a couple jobs inside as well as outside. But those jobs are going to have to wait. But will be prepared. I slept decent last night once I got up and wrote down a couple jobs I want to get to.
Funny how so many of us have big jobs to get done at same time. Oh well, we can commiserate together . I did enjoy reading what all of you have done or need to do. My problem is finding someone to do them, My DSIL is no longer interested in doing any of them and didn't even ask. He is having some problems and finding it harder to get under sinks, using a ladder etc. I am fine, will get them done. Some I can do if I am careful but plumbing and electrical are not in my skill zone.
I was so tired last night I could not even read, and TV did not interest me. I was a slug and finally just went to bed early. Not like me at all. Do feel good so nothing like that but think the no sleep finally caught up with me.

Here it is after 10:30 and Jim still sleeping. I'd like to take a shower but wanted to feed him breakfast first so I'm still in my nightgown. Looks like it's going to be a nice day out.
Hopefully will see you all later for tuck in!

Jim still in bed....just fed him dinner there and cleaned him up. Hopefully he will sleep all night. Linda: We all know what that means....LOL
Tucking you in now in our newest blanket. It looks like a nice bright sunny Spring day and our doggies are all playing together. We are sitting around them watching them play. I guess when the adults all love each other the doggies do too.....Sweet dreams!
