This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good afternoon and happy Saturday! Well, we got off to a little bit of a rock start this morning. We'd planned to leave for Costco around 830-845 this morning. I had a lot of awake time last night and when DH woke me up it was already 9am. ha! Oopsie! I hurried up and got myself ready to go and got CC fed and we were on the road before 930. I think we got everything on the list except the flanken ribs. They had them, but not at a price that I wanted to pay...Lol. Otherwise we got everything we needed plus a couple of things we didn't. Anyway, we got back home and got everything unloaded and put away and I cut up a rotisserie chicken that we'd picked up and we ate on that for lunch. I took the 2nd one and what was left of the first and made it into a big batch of chicken salad to eat on for the next 2 or 3 days. Currently DH is outside doing some more work with the old rough terrain mower, the chain saw and carving out some more of our perimeter space where the woods and weeds had started encroaching. I have a little bit of stuff to do inside and then might go see if I can help DH outside. I hope everybody is having a good weekend. We have near perfect weather, so I'd love to beable to get out there and enjoy that a little.

Hi Everyone,
I did my food shopping today. I was going to originally maybe help my friend do something at the library but that can wait. Her brother is not doing well at all so any thoughts and prayers may be helpful. Also for the current situation in Isreal for my sister's family and others there with the threats from the Iran in retaliation.
Lora, glad you got most of your things at Costco.
Susie, I hope that coffee club went well.
Despite my teaching partner being out yesterday it went ok. The lady from our Nutrition program came so that made things seem to pass and before I knew it it was rest time. After they have a snack they go home earlier on Friday. It was supposed to be a 12 pm dismissal but it got switched to the near the end of the month.
Tommorow after going to the gym I may go to look at new glasses or see if a new lenses could be put in the frames I have. I got a new prescription last week. I hope everyone is having a good day.

Hello All - the coffee went great. I walked with DD afterward and then stopped to see DGS and we decided to go to the zoo. YDGD went too and it was great fun, but I am TOTALLY worn out - lol! I love doing things with these two...they are only a year apart and are almost like brother and sister rather than cousins. I am collapsing for the rest of the day...think I will go outside and read. It is very windy, but warm.
Lora - glad you had a successful COSTCO run - the chicken salad sounds really good.
Janet - thinking about your friend's brother and your sister's family in Israel. Did your new glasses prescription change much?
Waving to everyone....

Good afternoon! Robin, I'm so sorry about the job situation. That's tricky, for sure. I need to do back and read the last couple of days, to see if there are new developments. I believe the available right situation is waiting for you. Lora, I love rotisserie chicken. Sounds nice. Susie, sounds like an exhausting fun day. The zoo, fun! Janet, I hope you find just the right frames. did the prescription change much? I'm sicker than before. I'm finishing up the Prednisone today, but started antibiotics yesterday. It is really a we cough now and I'm coughing up a bunch. Hopefully that'll help. Today, I started home. DH is at church service right now, but I'm just doing nothing today, not even TV. I just need a day like this. Waving hi!

Not sure how much the prescription changed as I don't have the previous prescription but know that I wasn't using them to drive because they didn't seem clear enough and I am supposed to be wearing them to drive. I need it for distance rather than close up. When I was asked to read a paragraph without the glasses I could read down to the next to last paragraph. I guess it will depend on whether they could put the frames in my other glasses. I have some vision coverage from my insurance but don't know if I used my frames now whether they would give me any discount. Jill, sorry you still aren't feeling well. My sister in Isreal says they are preparing to be ready to go into the shelter. They have one in their synagogue just down their lane.
