This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

How in the world are we already halfway through April?!
Anyway, just popping on to get is started. I'm making some beef jerky for DH and that's an all day thing, so I need to get that going.

Good morning Ladies.
My ONE goal for the weekend was to get the rose bushes trimmed and I did it! I am so happy that it is done. I hope I didn't mess them up and they will still bloom this year. They generally bloom all spring and summer right up until the weather cools off. There were quite a few buds on them already but it had to be done. If I messed them up this year - supposedly they will bloom next year. I still have some yard work to do but all the heavy lifting and big projects are done. I got my 5 gallon buckets set up with the new birdfeeder and I have the one set up to put the new hummingbird feeder on but I will wait until May to put it up.
I will be leaving around noon today to head out of town for work. I am actually looking forward to the break from home.
Jill I am sorry that you still aren't feeling well - fingers crossed that you start feeling better soon.
waving to everyone.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to jump on and say hi.
Jana, yippee for getting those roses pruned! I always feel better when I get something done that I really wanted to do. I know you do enjoy those work trips away. I hope you have a good day today.
Lora, the jerky sounds great. I hope you are having a great day, too.
I'll be back, I've just been sending some resumes and applications in to various places. I hope to get some mowing done today, but just waiting for the grass to dry. We had some really loud booming storms last night!
Waving to all for now, I'll be back,
RobinMD

Hello ROs... I walked with DD today and was surprised at how warm it was. I will probably read most of the day.
Lora - thanks for starting us
Jana - soooo glad you got those rose bushes trimmed. Enjoy being out of town.
Robin - good luck on the application process
Janet - hope you get a good report from the Dr
Jill - feeling better? It is taking my forever to get over this upper respiratory infection - I feel good but when I see people they can tell by the sound of my voice that something is just not right.

Hi again!
Jana - Congrats on getting the roses pruned. Hoping they'll bounce back this year for you. It's so satisfying to check things like that off your To Do list, isn't it? I hope your work trip goes smoothly.
Susie - Enjoy your day! It's warmer here today also. I slept like garbage again last night. Really, really hoping tonight is better.
Janet - That would be great if they were able to just put new lenses in your old frames. When I worked at Pearl Vision Center back in the late 80s, we did that quite often.
Robin - Sounds like you have a full day planned between the apps and resume work and the yard work. Do you have a target date for opening your pool? The jerky turned out good and didn't take nearly as long as I was anticipating. I just seasoned it simply with pink salt and white pepper.
Not much going on around here. We have a guy coming out on Thursday to give us some options and estimates for replacing the siding and gutters on the house. It's the next big project we were looking to do. So fingers crossed that we can do what we want at a price we're willing to pay. Lol.
Jill - Oh girl! Sending you all kinds of "get well" vibes.

Hello again,
Lora, I will open the pool around the middle of May. The cover got a little shredded over the winter so I will have some clean up to do again.
Susie, it did get a little warmer today than I expected. Glad you are feeling better, too.
I sent out several applications and got a couple of interview requests, too. I have one on Friday at the hospital. I keep hearing from the doctors at my old job and they are not happy with what's going on in the office. I got out and started mowing, but after I made a few passes the skies opened up and poured rain. Then the grass was so wet that I couldn't finish! I will be able to get back to it tomorrow and I'll get some chainsaw work done too. And THEN, I really need to finish cleaning out the back flower bed. I am making a nice NY strip steak for dinner. I found some Morrel mushrooms up by the pool house so I'm going to make a mushroom gravy for the steak and some asparagus on the side. I have found Morrels up there before but not necessarily every year. And these are huge this time! I was pretty excited about it. I didn't sleep well either, so I will probably head up early tonight. I hope everyone is having a good day. I'll be back. Waving to all!

Hi Everyone,
Today in Paradise wasn't so good to start with this morning by this same parent now coming in and asking where this other child sleeps and saying she was doing something to him down in his private area. Totally ridiculous claim as this girl wouldn't do anything of that nature and the child doesn't even sleep anywhere near him plus the fact that both my coworker and I but have them in our sight. She is saying this happened back a few weeks ago when she said he had been in the hospital for some other ridiculous claim. Why didn't she say that back then? She didn't even know the name of the child and when she asked her son to name the child he couldn't even tell her. The parent went up to talk to our director and then my partner went in with them to talk. She is mad because they don't have our backs. If they were to look at the cameras there is no evidence whatsoever that this occurred. Plus we have mirrors as well. It would be the cameras that have audio as well that would show nothing happened. Supposedly we are supposed to be meeting with the parent, our director some time. Ugh!! This parent is the one big pain in our class this year and we can't wait until he is finished school.
I had my doctor appointment this afternoon. I lost 2 lbs from last time. I have the prescriptions to get my lab work done soon and my mammogram and dexascan in late June or early July.
Jana, glad you got the rose bushes and the other stuff done. I hope you enjoy your work trip away from home.
Robin, it sounds like your applications and your resume are getting some responses. Yeah! Hopefully something positive comes of it.
Have a restful night especially for some of you who haven't got good sleep the last few nights.
P.S.- this child who wouldn't say who it was first is very verbal. He has been in the same class since last year as well with the child he is saying did it.
