Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Cool, crisp, sunny Spring morning. Day at the casino was fun, brought home a bit more than I took.
There are so many good YouTube videos for senior exercises. I have a few favorites, but Iām always trying others. I change things up, one day Iāll focus on balance, one day strength, another cardio ā¦. These videos might be as short as 10 minutes but have such good exercises to do. Iām back to doing my back stretches every morning.
Ruth - does your Y have Silver Sneaker classes? Mine has a few and I have taken them, but they can also be done at home. They use stretch bands, light weights, a ball .. itās a combination of cardio, balance and strength. There is also a Silver Sneaker website and they do have exercises, and a website called Eldergym that is very good. Lots of free resources. When I find something I like I add to my favorites.
Martha - I have to search my old WW recipes. I remember one for a lighter version of banana bread, hope I can find that one too.
Dottie - sounds like you are really enjoying time with the grands. Baking cookies is always fun.
Bonnie - Iām not much of a cook, but I still like trying new recipes. I found one for a cheeseburger bowl that sounds good, maybe Iāll try that next week. I like easy recipes.
Today Iām meeting with the finance guy at the dealership to sign the paperwork to buy out my Ecosport lease. He had a few comparable loans, one was from the bank where I do all of my banking so thatās the one Iām going with. With the taxes, and maintenance the loan is only a little more than what Iām paying for my lease. Itās a win/win for me.
Time to get moving. See ya tomorrow.

Gmorning,āļø. (((Hugs))) Joy - it's always nice to come home with more $ than you left with. Waving Hi! to all. Yesterday was slightly better than Sunday. I did rest for 90 min. Weather is sunshine & warm thru Friday. I think I'll be soaking up some natural vit d. I use my older ww cookbooks, but have to recalc the ni to go with current points. Older recipes don't list total sugar or added sugar. The banana bread recipe I like/use is from skinnytaste. It can be made in slow cooker or in oven. I've done both and both disappeared š. It calls for melted choc chips to be swirled thru. I use mini choc chips and stir them in. Hope all have a great day! (((Hugs)))

Good afternoon all. Went to the dentist at noon and got my permanent crown put on. Nice to have that done and be over the dentist for 6 mo. Fingers crossed I donāt have any issues!
Joy, our YMCAās do have Silver Sneakers. Iām going to check into the classes and see what is when Stan is there or another convenient time for the closer Y and get going. I can work with a trainer for 1 free session also to see about some of the machines. I just havenāt felt like doing anything. Emotionally or physically. I may have to do something permanent about the back issue (like surgery) but would prefer not to. But I do have to get back to doing more to help with weight loss and my energy and endurance and all. And I really want to work on some videos but would prefer to do it downstairs and that involves getting that all cleaned out and the floor changed.
Stan just went down to be on the boxing bag for a while. Iām going down shortly to start bagging up some stuff to get rid of and bring some up to sort and get listed. Havenāt heard from the mom of the twins for the 5/5T stuff; so going to try to sell it. The couch and floor in front of it are full of clothes & toys that all need sorted and put away or in bags to donate. Iāll feel better when that part is cleaned up again.
Not much else going on here. Watched hockey last night and we won. Kings had an 8 game home win streak and we broke that. And they could have clinched a certain play off spot and didnāt. Our last game is Thursday I believe, at home. Hope they can win that one too.
I need to pick up some groceries after while. No clue what to make for dinner. Should look at the sheets from the dietician and see if thereās anything that looks good and doable there.
Joy, you will enjoy having your car be yours now. And in MN your insurance would go down because itās higher here for leased cars. Is it in your state?
Martha, your bread with chocolate chips sounds good. You try so many new things, I get stuck in a rut.
Waving to Dottie. Enjoy the grands.
Will check in later!

Joyce, I have used YouTube videos for exercising and there is a big variety to choose from. Thatās great that you will be buying your Ecosport since you donāt have many miles on it.
Martha, good idea to get out and get some natural vitamin D while you are having some nice weather.
Ruth, I hope you start feeling better so you can start some exercises for weight loss and energy. Bill is the same way, he tells me he hurts too bad to take a short walk or do any stretching. I know he needs to get started but not sure what I can do or say to encourage him to do that. Good luck selling the 5T clothes.
Bonnie, I hope you are having a good day.
I took the grands back to the meet up point right after lunch. Bill had a zoom meeting for our condo and he couldnāt go with me. It was cute this morning, DGD (8) came down from upstairs to tell me she packed all of their clothes and made the beds, even the beds in the boys room. She did a very good job. When I told DDIL how helpful DGD was she just laughed and said she can do it but doesnāt do much at home, fairly typical of kids.
Last night our dishwasher leaked and had quite a puddle in the kitchen area. Since the whole condo is hardwood I quickly cleaned up the water even before I tried to figure out what caused the leak. I think something was blocking part of the drain. I ran another cycle and everything was fine, hope it was just a fluke and not a major problem.
