I am just totally wore out. Been doing nothing since I got home from PT. Tomorrow the 17th is Daves 79th birthday. Will be a quiet day for me.
Shragae FL..April Showers Sandy IL...Wanting Spring Warmth Lin AZ..Spring Allergy Lucy TX...Enjoying the Warm Sunshine. Nancy IL..Watching Flowers Grow Connie PA..Pulling Winter Weeds. Kathie CA..The Spring Gardener Betty MN..Flowers in Bloom Diane OK...New Routines for Health
Connie, glad you had a good time with your friends. What kind of pizza did you have? Don't think I could ride with someone without a seatbelt. Pretty hefty fine here if you're stopped and don't have one on. Even the person in the passenger seat has to have one on.
Diane, are the doctors talking about doing stents in your heart or are they thinking meds will help? When Dave had a minor heart attack they found one artery was 95% blocked. The next day he had a stent put in. Every doctor is different and I'm sure you're getting the best care possible.
Lin, did your SIL get there. Hope she helps out when she's there? It has rained here much of the day. Not so bad when I drove to the hospital but very hard rain on my way home. I was totally exhausted after an hour of therapy and then that drive home. Stormed pretty hard here late this afternoon. I guess lightning hit a tree on the next block over. According to the man across the street from there it was a huge fireball when it hit the tree. No fires or injury. So tired tonight I haven't even been able to eat supper. When I get that tired I get kind of nauseated and can't eat. Feeling better now.
Have a few more scrambled words for you. 1. ucsleun nucleus 2. celeomul molecule 3. npalmtiu platinum 4. eokslent skeleton 5. mrtisapsmooeh metamorphesis 6. pieelcs eclipse
Have fun with them.

So this morning Rosie decided at 3:15 she wanted to go out. So she took one of her smaller balls we got her at PetSmart and started dropping it on the floor which woke me up. So I got up and took her out. She decided she wanted all her babies and bed brought out as she was up! So got it all out and started my coffee as I knew sleep was done for me. Came out of the kitchen and she was back in her bed fast asleep!
Still pretty windy but I guess it’s supposed to let up as Fred is planning on golfing and he won’t golf in high wind as that’s no fun. I just checked my weather app and looks like high winds all day today so Fred will probably not be golfing after all. I have no plans myself except a trip to the Walmart by us and also Fred cut out some coupons for Hy-Vee that he wants to use.

Sandy, you're probably going to need a nap today. Does your Hyvee have the Perks card? Don't have to clip coupons with that. After yesterday I probably won't do much today either. Not going for coffee. Head is stuffed up and nose runny...? getting a cold.

Speaking of trees the tree trimmers are here today. My community always trims the trees prior to hurricane season. Last year a huge tree fell on a row of townhouses during the midst of a hurricane. It did major damage to two of the townhomes and some damage to a third.
It had been a beautiful big tree but sadly a lot of these old oak trees don't have a huge root system so when the hurricanes come they can topple these large trees with ease.
I have a really large tree in the front of my house which I worry about. They cut it back many years ago but as a result of screw taller and taller and all of the leaves and branches are very high up now... If that thing ever fell on my house it would pretty much destroy the whole second floor!

shragae , That reminds me of back in the 70s in upstate NY where we used to have streets lined with those huge old elms. About a month after we got a new car, a big storm brought a huge branch down on it almost totaled…but not So it was five weeks on a rental with summer school at college 59 miles away! Hope you feel better today, Betty. Plane out of Chicago yesterday was late because they flew south to Texas then west to get around your storms with tornado watches! oops, everybody got up…got to make breakfast.

Years and years ago when I was a teenager all the elms had a disease and we no longer have any of them at all. But still a lot of trees, ( Penns Woods) and yesterday saw a lot of trees blown over, all sizes and shapes, some one houses and some on barns and some just blown over. We have had so much wind that old trees are paying the price. they get replanted all over the place in the parks and greening areas. Lot of donations all the time for that. but sure doesn't help the cost to replace a house etc. I love them all and right now the flowering pink tree that they call tulip trees are in bloom. A kind of magnolia but sure not like the Florida Magnolia. not near as pretty. A frost does them in as done a rain fall when they are flowering and what a mess under the tree. would not want one but sure are pretty when flowering even for a day.
I was super tired last night and went to bed early and at 1 am my land line phone rang. It was my friend from yesterday. she had fallen over Backward again in her drive way taking the dog out! Wanted me to come over and look at the big goose egg on back of her head. Well, I don't need a fall either and wet ground and very dark so told her that she should go to ER ( which is not far away and her DH could take her) I was half asleep and was not my job. He is 64 years old and perfectly able to do that. I went back to bed and back to sleep. She has big hill in her front yard and guess dog wandered into road. No traffic that time of night but he's deaf and can't see but won't go to potty on a leash.!! She jumped a ditch at end of her yard and then fell backward onto the black top. Believe me this is not the first fall she has had. Dog is fine, she was lift flighted to Pittsburgh Hospital and they did bunch of tests. Of course she has a brain bleed thus the big goose egg on back of head. Going to keep her a couple of days to observe her. Of course they are. they also did scans of her back etc. Of course. !! I did call her this morning and she told me all that, she sounds pretty chipper and happy to be there. She said she couldn't see the goose egg on back of her head and just wanted someone to look at it. (personally I think she should have that dog put down, he has arthritis and is pain and on meds that make him even goofier. more falls to come I am sure) I am a really bad friend!!!
Betty those anniversaries are hard the first few years sometimes now I forget them all together. But then it has been almost 25 years for me. For some reason New Years Eve is the hard one for me these days.
The next storm is coming, more high winds, possible tornadoes and lot of rain. What's new?? Just a way of life in April and first part of May. Possible frost tonight. Big changes of temps don't help. It is almost 70 out today.
thanks for the Scrambled words. Will work on them today. It is an easy day today and also working on getting the puzzle pieces all turned over. Glad when that part is done. And all the outline pieces put together.

Years ago a tree fell and crushed the roof killing one of my nieces. She was about 10 years old.
Decided I just am not up to gym class today. So I am having a cup of hot tea.
I will work on the scrambled words later.

Hi!
Physical therapist came this morning and put me through my paces. I am tired and my hip is sore. I have one more 2+ minute walk to complete this morning, and I need to do it before granddaughter gets here. She is bringing lunch today and will visit a while. That is so nice!
The doctor wants to only do meds right now. I will have an echogram in two months, and then another appointment with him. We'll see if he wants to do anything different. I the meantime I have a LOT of heart meds to take.
Did I tell you that our little great granddaughter was born? Sailor is a little doll and already has the whole family wrapped around her finger. Just as you'd expect!
Have a good day, friends! Hugs!
Diane

I'm just sitting here watching the trees blow in the wind. Thankfully my neighbor brought my mail to me. (It was only junk mail.) I'm working on my shopping list so my daughter can order it soon.

Big storm here today and we were in path for Tornado watch but it was cancelled thank goodness. It was pretty warm and then temps dropped quickly. Pouring rain, thunder and lightning but the wind was not bad.
Pollen is all the time here until snow flies again. Different kinds of grass and weeds every time you mow, flowers and shrubs, trees still have pollen even when all the leaves come on and the pine trees are horrible all summer. Outside mold from lot of rain and the list goes on and on. For those who are severely allergic.
They sent my friend home from hospital in Pittsburg today. she goes back in 2 weeks for another brain scan. She says she is now very sore all over and has major headache. But is glad to be home. All from a fall .
