Thanks for the start, Chele. How's your weather? We've had clouds and it just started to rain while Arya and I were out a few minutes ago. I hope the sun is shining there. What do you have on your YS list for Saturday (besides arugula)?
Kathy, it's good that you had some 80s to savor, since you know they won't be around for long. I hope you'll get a little rain to help the pond level return and maybe bring in a few visitors. We rarely see an egret and it's not a snowy when we do. I suspect the mallards may have decided to take ownership of our little cove, which is ok, but Dale might have to find another place to enter and exit the water to swim if they have nestlings. I hope your mallards will return. According to IMDB, Elsbeth is only 10 episodes, so definitely short for a network show. Is her quirkiness growing on you? She's definitely an "acquired taste" and I wonder if the show will be picked up for a second season.
Did DSIL arrive safely, Linda? Too bad about her flight being late, but you can't do much with the weather, but I don't know that many flights are actually on time these days even without weather interference. How are you feeling? I hope things smoothed out a bit after she arrived.
Busy day of cooking and laundry while Dale was trail running. Decided to take the afternoon off because my HR has been indicating this week that I'm overdoing it. With the plant sale coming up, I figured I had better get rest today. Trying to listen to my body. Planning a trip to TJ's after Osteo tomorrow. The list is getting longer.

Kathy, yuck on the 90s. Itâs been warm but not humid so Iâm okay with it. Iggy rebalanced the ducts for AC and itâs about 3 degrees cooler upstairs. I was whining about how hot I was and I didnât want to lower the thermostat. We expect to be in the 50s this weekend. I hope the mallards come back. I like ducks but all I see are cobra chickens (Canadian geese).
Linda, I hope youâre not wearing yourself out entertaining. Did DSIL and friend go to your place for dinner last night? Howâd she do on the trip? Was she exhausted?
Karen, did you get the minestrone done? Youâre lucky Arya likes vegetables and fruit. Teddy would eat a dehydrated sweet potato treat occasionally but thatâs as close to a veg as he ever came. Good idea to listen to your body. I have done the same.
Nothing new here. I have my yearly checkup tomorrow so I can see what can be done about the constant leg pain. I had to take my Fitbit off because I kept pushing to reach my step goal and the leg pain kept getting worse.

Karen, it felt really hot out there today even though it was still in the 80s. The snowy egret comes around fairly often. It's a pretty bird. I think maybe the ducks like it when the pond is a bit higher. They take naps under my oak tree sometimes. I enjoyed the last episode of Elsbeth, so I guess she is growing on me. I'll have to go back and watch the first episode sometime now that I know more about her. You deserve an afternoon off once in a while!
Chele, yuck on the 90s is right! The only good thing about them this time of year is that it isn't as humid as summertime yet. I will miss the cooler nights when the AC isn't cycling on all night. I think we've probably seen the last of the 50s until fall. Lol on cobra chickens. I hadn't heard that before! We get mallards and Florida mottled ducks here, along with the occasional visit by the hooded mergansers. I also swear Donald Duck crossed the street in front of me one day! He was a tall white duck and was angry quacking at me the whole way across the street. đŚ He didn't have his sailor suit on though.
Hope the doc can do something for your leg pain. I know that's been bothering you for a while. I think you can adjust your FitBit goal downward. The Garmin adjusts mine automatically based on my average, but it's pretty skewed since I forget to wear it half the time!
Linda, hope all is going well with the company.

Everything is ok except
have big Costco packs of thirty toilet paper rolls and their Bounty pack in the bathtub plus a shower chair next to DH's toilet. I pull the curtain shut. Great place to keep it, but it is there to keep him from falling in again..,really hard to get him out.
So dsil is to shower in the big shower in master bath, well, she could not get hot waterâŚ.It takes a few minutes to get to the back of 5he house. The hall bath she uses is right next to the heater. I guess she kept fiddling with the temp control. DuhâŚnot turned to hot? No hot. so they took all the carefully placed stuff out of the tub in the other bath. She used the nice clean towels to wipe it all dry and put it back. they're saying maybe that control is bad. Of course, you know i walked into the big bath, turned it to hot and three minutes later it was really hot. Said I would start if for her next time.
going to wash towels tomorrow.
They got up late. I woke at 5:45..feeling it now. We had a good breakfast and she read outside. While Bob did an errand . After he got back, I took her to Walgreens for an eye patch (must have fallen from her bag in plane) then We all sat around catching upon our devices this afternoon tired from getting up a lot last night, with a bit of talk now and then. Hopefully Amazon will deliver a weighted eye patch earlier than later tomorrow, although she will be gone for the day and dinner with friends who dropped her off here.
She took us to dinner at The Keg, a Canadian steakhouse chair.nice dinner, place empty at 4:30, packed by 5:15.
shevis watching tv. Bob is asleep and I am in bed on iPad. Minni is enjoying extra people.
