Sandy, I just bought the Perks Plus Card at HyVee. Because I'm having my groceries delivered with that I don't have to pay a delivery charge. I get special deals with that also.
Connie, may years ago we had Dutch Elm Disease and we used some kind of treatment that saved some of them. Didn't quite understand your story about your neighbor. Why didn't she ask her DH to check her bump on her head. Glad she got to the hospital and they're checking her out.
Diane, PT is hard after a fracture. I spent 17 days in rehab after I broke my hip. It was painful but I knew it was important to do. After my mom broke her hip she refused PT because it hurt. She ended up walking with a limp the rest of her life. I didn't want that. Did the docs put you on Entresto? I know that's a big one for heart problems. Dave was on it for quite a while.
Very windy here all day but the skies have partially cleared after all the rain yesterday. About all I did today was get some mending done. It was a hard day for me. Have to remember the good memories and not dwell on the sad ones. Lynda stopped this afternoon to set up my life alert. I have the wrist one on but it's making my arm itch so don't know if I'll be able to wear it. The neck medallion is on the charger no will try that tomorrow. How did you do on the scrambled words?

Didn’t do well on the words but it was fun trying.
I was surprised that I didn’t take a nap at all yesterday. Rosie did take lots of naps! Little stinker 🐶☺️
The wind didn’t die down but Fred went golfing anyway. He said he was only going to play nine holes but ended up playing 18. He loved it! But later he was pretty stiff after sitting for a while.
My eye injection was supposed to be at 8:30 this morning but the doctor’s office called saying he had a change in his schedule so I could come an hour earlier or an hour later. I opted for the hour later so now it’s for 9:30. He did say that this time besides the injection he would be dilating my eyes. He does this every now and then to get a better look at the whole eye. Not sure how much better it is then looking at all the x-rays they take but oh well. I know I won’t be doing much as it takes about 24 hours for my eyes to get back to normal after being dilated. Of course we have to take Rosie for the final portion of her flu shot at 4:30 today. Hope she doesn’t get too mad as last time she was not very happy about getting stuck at all. But then I don’t think anyone is very happy about getting a shot. I’m just glad a technician holds her for the shot and not me.
Weather will be much cooler for the next few days but warm up again after next week and looks like it will stay in the 70’s which is the weather I love!

I got all but one of the words. And that was platinum. I really got stuck on that one. If you knew my neighbor and her husband you would understand. He did take her to ER but insisted on taking the dog and then sat in car, The Dr sent the nurse out to get him!!! She did like the life flight to Pittsburgh. He did not go of course. Not allowed in helicopter but would not drive to Pittsburgh anyway. Her son went to Pittsburgh when they released her yesterday. Hope she does okay at home for the next 2 weeks, she does not follow orders very well. but I am not getting tangled up in that situation!!!
Betty, I think the good memories hurt more sometimes especially with birthday and anniversaries. than the bad ones. So guess my idea is to go somewhere with someone or just stay busy. Every one has their own way of coping. Glad you got through the day.
Gloomy and cold today but was not planning on going anywhere anyway. Working on a grocery list. Checking the web site for the sale. no more flyers.
My DD and DSIL are taking the bed the kids ordered made by the Amish on Saturday, They will take the truck and the enclosed trailer for it. It is Queen size and kids already have the mattress and the frame at their house. DGD who is pregnant cannot wait to get it set up. DGSon is working on building two very small side tables for the bedroom. Hope they take pictures when they get finished or hope I get to go see it this summer after baby is born. time is getting close!!
With all the crazy weather I had a barometer headache last night Not bad just annoying. I took an Advil and went to bed early. Thought I had all the Easter stuff down but when I was dusting the window sills etc yesterday see I forgot the crystal sun catcher. Guess I forgot that cute bunny and the colorful beads.
Have a pretty spring decorator flag to hang on the pole today now that the wind has died down a bit.

Happy Thursday!
Betty, I have been -- and continue to be -- very compliant with PT. I take my exercises very seriously. I may not enjoy them, but I do them.
This is a bad season for allergies and storms. Stay safe, friends. The Bradford pears are over and all their leaves are on the sidewalks. Quite the mess.
Thinking of all the kids and teachers who are anticpating the end of school. Focus is harder for some right now.
We had leftover pancakes for breakfast this morning. Yummy! We'll have leftover chicken today, too. Easy meals. That's the best kind right now.
Hugs!
Diane

I will have PT help set up at home three times a week for first three weeks. Dr set it up with company my friends liked twice. They will also report back on incision and make sure all is ok. Still have to get the little ice machine…I have a script but typically insurance does not cover it . Shall see.
been walking around in a daze after last night but managed the Thursday towel laundry only a lot more. Then I gathered up my resolve and a Xmas gift card and went to Chandler mall. Only about 7 handicap spots always full, but managed to get about 100 steps to PotteryBarn as a shortcut inside. Then down one arm of the mall halfway to Chicos. The only person slower than I was a little old lady with a Walker and was close to passing me. I sure hope the knee surgery changes this.
yea buy one get one half off. Between my gift, my loyalty discount, the sale and two good coupons I got 175 worth for $45! My favorite color cobalt blue in crop pants and top and a white top with a spray of flowers on one side.
came home exhausted. Linda

I did a load of laundry today and got the garbage ready to go out. My neighbor also took my recycling out for me. It's now raining and 54 degrees.

Anybody read anything by Blake Pierce? Tons of books in different series , many bestsellers, many published same year….there is no info about this author….except an article theorizing it is many talented ghost writers.
