Morning Gabrielle and all to come...
Quick HI before starting my day...looks like it won't be too bad!! Running out of leftovers at home so will stop for my "pay day sushi" after work and have leftovers for tomorrow. Not as good as fresh but still a nice change from the usual leftover lunches.
Cloudy today but no rain so expect to see more done on the driveway when I get home!!
Have a great day all....

Sue: OMGosh what a mess to come back to!! Sounds like it should all get done and running smoothly by the end of the week?
TBH we are still not sure where we stand with DH and SS! Although he is working a lot less hours this year, so it should all be fine. No SS didn't think he should have taxes taken out of that, so we'll see what happens this year! Definitely check with the cement guy about the basement. Just being done last year you should NOT be seeing any dampness in there now!
So glad you were (only) 2 hours later than planned. We all know travel can be so behind sometimes. Hope you got some good sleep, so you were ready to go Tuesday morning! My CPAP says Tuesday night was only 88! I also didn't wear it the whole night! Got fed up with it and took it off in the middle of the night!
Yeah... what we MISunderstood was the whole taxable part. I know for me... because I didn't work until my full retirement, I can only earn a certain amount before they ...? We THOUGHT it was earn up to said amount is fine, but they will tax us after we pass that amount. Anyway - bottom line, we misunderstood, and have to pay the price now. So for now I am not anxious to get back to work, even PT, until I figure out how the pension will mess up what I can earn, I guess. All of this is OVER MY HEAD, and Man do I feel stupid!
Thanks for starting us off this morning, guess you are getting back to a routine. YAY for the driveway project starting!! I was so excited when ours was done! It really is the "little things" sometimes.

Woke up this morning around 8:30, feel so much better! So Tuesday night I slept over 12 hours, scored 74 (Fitbit). Yesterday I took a 3 hour nap! Then last night slept almost 11 hours, scored 93! I woke up last night around 11:30 and thought, Dummy, should have tested for Covid! Just the achiness and the exhaustion, made me think Covid! Oh well, too late to test now, but MAN that was weird! Needless to say my eating and drinking were not what they should have been yesterday, but it is what it is! Can't change things now. So today I can get back to my usual day. Except, we don't have much food cooked! I was going to do that yesterday... but I guess it will wait until tomorrow, now. I just pulled it from the freezer, so I'm sure it won't thaw to be cooked today.
We have our rain started already - so another indoor day for me. Today I will tackle getting things back on my dresser - purged and cleaned and DONE!
I also have to grab my weights and do a strength training today. My goal is 3 days this week (Wednesday - Tuesday).
OK Off to track my day... before the day gets away from me any further. That's MY Think-First-Thursday!
Enjoy the day ladies
♥hugs♥

Morning all
Well I think the universe Gods are picking on me. Last night I got off work and stopped to get the mail and stepped wrong and twisted my ankle, scraped my knee and hand all up so I just went home and ordered Thai food and watched the original Footloose movie and went to bed. I had a kind of painful night with the ankle but I got up and went to work. I jammed my finger on the fall as well. I don’t know what’s happening with all this getting hurt.

Good afternoon:
Started the thread this morning, completed my first post, and my internet dropped. Then I had to leave so, sorry that I didn't post anything. This morning's run was good and I am plowing through the day (my desk is a DISASTER) too many projects that I am in the middle of right now. But it is sunny and nice outside! DS29 just sent me a picture--they are at the Red Sox game today--he and Kate headed there early yesterday morning to spend about 6 days with friends. Both DS29 and their friend have a birthday on Saturday so they are enjoying it together.
Sue: Earlier today I had said that I forgot about your driveway project but the boys will have a great basketball court when you are done! You must be so glad to have had this project on the calendar! I hope that you can get back to the pool soon and have a good day (it sounds like it is better now?)
Carole: Wow, you have really been worn down! I guess your body really needed rest....so glad that you paid attention to that. Sorry about the rain, but I am sure you will find something to do I hope that you are feeling better!
Jenny: Oh man...that fall sounded painful! I hope that it was the kind of ankle twist that heals quickly....and that you don't have any issues today. Hugs to you!
Hello to all who follow. Tonight I am joining a few friends at a local brewery (one is visiting from out of town). I will check back in tomorrow.

Evening all...productive day at work....not caught up yet but getting there...if we have a quiet Friday, we should be in good shape by tomorrow afternoon. I have a dentist appointment right after work tomorrow!! The sun actually came out today early afternoon and it was a beautiful afternoon....right around 70, my kind of early spring day!! Picked up my "pay day sushi" and it was yummy....tried a couple different rolls....any sushi eaters, suggestions for good ones!!
Yes Carole....it was a mess but thankfully the Hopkins are done, the rushes are done and now we are just playing catch up from the craziness!! And finally feeling like we are close to getting our heads above water!!
As for SS....Simon told us that if Jason was NOT going to continue to work, we probably did not need to have the taxes withheld but because he continued to work we got bumped up to a higher tax bracket....Simon suggested as long as Jason is working to have them take 10% taxes off the SS to make sure we did not have to pay in. I also have taxes taken off my Brethren Home annuity for the same reason. We usually break about even each year but the BH annuity and SS is additional income so it bumps us up a tax bracket!! Yes, it's a racket....thankfully Simon has been following our investments and income for 7+ years now and is proactive with each change in our financial status to keep us from getting burned. Having a "finance guy" has been a godsend for us.....believe me, when it comes to finances, investments, SS, etc....I'm clueless!! That's why I'm glad for Simon....he won't tell us what to do but what to think about and consider....I have learned a lot from him over the last several years and he hasn't steered us wrong yet. I wish everyone could have "a Simon".....each year he makes suggestions for changes we might need to do for the upcoming year and if there is something that comes up during the year he emails and we touch base again if needed. Wellington Adams focuses their efforts toward retirement planning and making sure their clients (us seniors) have what they need and don't get screwed by the government and taxes. I'm with you, I am not working until full retirement, just long enough for Medicare....not sure if I will take SS then or use other investments until full retirement age....then I don't need to worry about what I make from 65-67 or after we start to collect mine!! That will be for Simon to evaluate and give us the pros and cons of both options.
Question....is SS taxed in MA?? In PA it's not taxed. We still have to pay Federal at this point on SS as "total income" but at least we don't have to pay taxes to the state.
Ah yes, we too were glad the delay was only 2 hours!! When we flew to TX the girl in front of me in the TSA line was supposed to fly out of BWI on Thursday evening but had her flight cancelled as many others did due to crazy storms we were having last Thursday afternoon and overnight....it was a crazy weather night for sure!! Will say, I'm glad to be back in my own bed...my body is finally feeling normal again!! Rachel's bed was terrible.
As for the dampness, the one spot should be remedied by the driveway getting fixed....it currently slopes toward the house but now it will actually slope away from the foundation. Mike will be here Saturday and Jason will have him check it out and make suggestions.
Carole...so glad you are feeling better and it sounds like lots of sleep helped!! It's always hard to decide if you should test for COVID....I have the always gotten the free tests from the government and have them on hand just in case....we have only used a couple thankfully....withe Jason's cold before we went to TX, I was going to have him test on Wednesday if he wasn't better but he rounded the corner on Monday and by Wednesday it was just the lingering cough that was pretty much gone by Friday when we left!!
Funny Carole...we were supposed to have rain yesterday, today and tomorrow but it shifted north so we have had a few sprinkles but nothing that stopped the driveway project and actually we ended up this afternoon with nice weather!! I'm convinced this year we will NEVER be able to count on the forecast....at least here, we have a forecast and an hour later, it's changed, an hour after that it's changed again!!
Jenny....sounds like some "universe gods" are hovering over your house right now!! Hope it moves on soon!! Fingers crossed the ankle and jammed fingers are the last of the injuries!!
Gabrielle....sorry the internet dropped and you lost your post this morning! I figured you either lost something or got busy!! LOL, your desk sounds like mine!! I'm so jealous of Tyler and Kate....would love to be in Fenway at a Sox game!! Happy early 30th to Tyler!! Yes Gabrielle....Jim actually stopped over tonight about 5:00 to "fuel up" the equipment so he's ready to start first thing in the morning. He said as long as the weather cooperates we should have a completed driveway by the middle to end of next week. He plans to meet the section of driveway we are NOT replacing (where the pod sat and Jason usually piles manure) with the base coat, then blend in that section with the top coat.....we don't need it perfect since it's usually covered it poop but it will get a "face lift"!!
OMG Gabrielle, the boys are so excited to have a new driveway....it has really gotten bad with all the heavy equipment on it throughout the renovation process....it just kept cracking and breaking up a little more each day.....the driveway has been down probably 40 years or more....we have lived here 37 years and the driveway was put in before we got here and according to Jim, the driveway was ONLY a base coat....no wonder it was crumbling for the last 15-20 years....it was only a "half-assed" job!!
Yes....I will be back at the pool on Monday.....this week has just been crazy and disorganized coming back from TX....I just decided on Wednesday to just chalk the week up to a wash and plan for Monday!!
Hope you have a fun evening with friends at the brewery....sounds like some "down time" you deserve!!
Sweet dreams all....while I have had a short week, it's been a crazy week!! Sure glad tomorrow is Friday!! Kellen has his first games of the season on Saturday....hope to get to one of them.....that's my plan now!! Depends on weather that could be rainy but we'll find out!!
