Good morning.
BRRR!!! 36!! Clear, with just a high of 48 with winds.
Robin, this afternoon right after work I am looking at an apartment that is in the general area my DS lives in, this place sounds a bit too good, so fingers crossed.
I have the rest of the story on the first apartment, which I will go into after personals.
How was your DH's CT scan? Fingers crossed it was good results.
Pinky, we got the cold temps here too, now. Brr! Heat went on when I got up, but hopefully I will turn it back off in a little while.
If I have any kind of time when I go to Kohl's, which I have no idea when that will be, I will look for white capri's, I think I want those, lol! I have 1 pair of white jeans, so capri's sound like a good idea. Thanks!!
Marsha, yes, I am a bit less worried, now that I have a couple apartments to check into. That house DD is moving to really just fell into her lap, and she would be a fool to turn it down. She works on the east side, with her fiancé also working on that side of town. She is the secretary at John Dewey Academy of Learning, so that helps. DGD who is at West, with her being a junior will be getting a ride to school from her close friend who lives close to their new house.
I am battling the same thing with the sugar addiction. I am finally mad enough that I need to really do something. But I have been saying that for a while now. Grrrr!!
Gareth, no on the pictures of the apartment. I am not done with that office manager; but I am waiting till after I see the apartment this afternoon. Maybe, if I am lucky, the one I am seeing today will be the one I can go after and forget the one that won't let me see it till after the tenants move out.
How nice of you and your DH to pay for DS trip!! Are chaperones required for the veteran to go? If so, then their trip should be paid, also, by whoever pays for the veteran.
I feel the same way, about squatters, but that is what I have been hearing in the news, when there are squatters, the property owners have to go to court to get them out. Ridiculous!!! It should be just a simple call to the police to get them out.
Carol, I don't know what is worse, our cold temps all of a sudden, or your disgustingly humid weather!! Plus, our friend the wind gusts of close to 50mph will be back today.
Thank you. Fingers crossed that the apartment I am looking at today will be the one. I am so tired of this horsing around.
Will you be doing anything for Earth Day? I try to abide by the recycling rules, but otherwise I really don't do anything.
Anngie, I know your feeling of being beat!! I have that a lot, lol!
I do resort to an Ibuprofen once in a great while, at bedtime, if my legs are giving me grief, but that is rarely.
Congratulations on your new bathroom!!! Enjoy!!
I called the jokers over at that gov. funded apartment yesterday morning, about supposedly getting denied because of my income. What happened was the school HR told them that I work 38 weeks per year, (I truly did not think I work that much, but never really gave it any thought), and my projected income for this year would be a little over $4,000. more than what I was saying, which is $1,100 over their limit for 1 person. I guess that 4% raise we get in September will make me rich!!! HAHAHA!!!!
Come to find out, if I had moved there, between the $25 per month extra for the covered parking, that very nice set of washer and dryer in the apartment would cost me $35 per month to use. So, in the long run, I would not be saving a whole heck of a lot there.
The place I am looking at today has garages. I hope they do not charge extra for them. Also, the apartment I am looking at is available May 1st. If I like it, I am hoping they will let me prorate it and rent it from May 24th on. I do not want it from May 1st on. Keep your fingers crossed this one works out!!! (I know I can't be so lucky!! But I am hoping!!)
Early release today, which I hate, so I have to be at work a little earlier.
