My eye injection went great. The doctor said my macular degeneration has actually improved so did not need to go up another level in the medication. I talked to him about how difficult it was to get the four week appointment and that I had actually been coming every five weeks. He said that definitely makes a difference and wrote on my chart that he was very firm on it being every four weeks. Now I knew the next four weeks is May 16th but I guess in his mind four weeks is exactly one month so put a date of the 18th down which is wrong as thatās a Saturday. The scheduler gave me a hard time as since he had written down the 18th she would not even try for the 16th. I told Fred it is so annoying that someone canāt look at the calendar and realize the error and now I have to wait for a call back to see if they can squeeze me in. Knowing the time frame means the difference in how it affects the macular degeneration Iāll be pretty insistent on the 16th as Fred even asked the doctor and again the technician is there any leeway in the time and they both said no not even a day. Just so frustrating as by my insisting on yesterdayās appt (which was a four week appt) my eye had improvement. But we were there almost two hours because of how busy they are. The good thing is this tech was so good in the rinsing out of my eye that this time I had no pain or the feeling of a thousand eyelashes in my eye as the numbness wore off.
Then when we took Rosie for her final flu shot I asked about getting her nails clipped as her grooming isnāt until next week and I thought they needed to be trimmed before that and they agreed they did need clipping. I also asked if they could check her anal glands as she had started butt scooting so they said theyād check that as well. Since they had all this work to do they took her to the back where they had more room. They were gone a long time and I heard some crying and thought it was Rosie. The vet came in to say hi as the things that needed to be done could be done by a technician but said he would go see about the glands. A while later here came the tech with Rosie. My first question was did she cry and she said no she was perfect! They did trim her nails and then she said Iām so glad you mentioned checking her glands as they were impacted so it took a while to get them expressed and then we gave her a butt bath to get rid of the smell that occurred from everything that came out. When we got home she was acting so happy and being really goofy so I guess she felt a ton better. They said those glands were so swollen it would interfere with her bowel movements and I told Fred that had happened yesterday morning so if I hadnāt had them checked we could have had major problems. But they also said it looked like either they hadnāt been expressed in a very long time or maybe never. It just broke my heart hearing that but I said well that wonāt happen again as with a female dog I get them checked regularly.
Rained most of the day yesterday but this morning itās clear but very chilly. Fred said he might golf as the tee time is 10:30 and if the sun comes out it will be perfect.

gOOd morning. Thunder last night but only .2 inches of rain. No bad weather as predicted. Today everything is sunny, bright and green. It should not hit the 80s as it has the past few days. Wonderful weather. Today is mass, chair yoga, house unpacking, wash my hair and then go to see JJ P In the Adams Family, the musical. He has the male lead and I'm excited to see it. He is 6'2", built like a football player, but he loves acting, singing and dancing. Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Good morning š.
Another great day š.
We are apparently going up above 90Ā° today! Another day for shorts I guess!
Every year I have my dryer vent cleaned out. My dryer vents to the roof of the first floor extension. That means I certainly can't clean it out myself! It's a fire hazard to not clean your dryer vent and since I live in a townhouse I'm very cognizant of that fact.
So that makes me feel a lot better to have that chore done.
I'm watching the news about Israel. Oy vey. In case you didn't know in the early 1920s Britain was in charge of a good part of Middle East and France was in charge of a good part the rest of it. This was as a result of World War 1 when they conquered the territory from the Turkish Empire.
Many new Arab countries were created. In 1922 Britain took out nearly 80% of the Palestinian mandate as they called it and gave it to the Arabs. Today this is called Jordan and the majority of people living there are still Palestinian.
In 1948 the United Nations created two countries out of the remaining 20 or so percent. the majority of the land was actually given to the Arabs again but a very small percentage was given to the Jews to create a Jewish country.
Jews have always lived in the land of Israel although we have been exiled many times. There has never been a time in over 3,000 years that there haven't been Jews living in the land of Israel.
At any rate the Jews accepted the 1948 decision by the United Nations and the Arabs rejected.
They wanted nothing to do with any Jewish State no matter how small. That hasn't changed. Have you heard the mantra from The River to The Sea Palestine will be free? That means no Israel.
A good number of Arab countries went to war against the new Jewish country and the Jews won.
Many many times since the Jews have offered land for peace. They won the Sinai peninsula in the 1967 war and they returned all of it to Egypt for peace...
Every single time that they have offered peace it has resulted in the Arabs rejecting it. President Carter tried. President Clinton tried. A lot of presidents have tried including Trump.
I love those who keep saying "why doesn't Israel give a ceasefire?" Again they have offered that many times and it has been rejected every single time by the Palestinian terrorists.
During every time that they have agreed to receive fire by the way the terrorists continue to rain rockets on them and attack them. Make no mistake their goal is to kill Jews and to destroy the state of Israel completely.
Those terrorists raped and murdered over 1200 people including babies one of whom they put alive into an oven. They kidnapped over 130 people a few of whom were American by the way... The only time they've returned any hostages has been in exchange for about a hundred terrorists for one hostage.... those freed by Israel were in prison having been found guilty in courts of law... literally guilty of killing innocent people...
The terrorists are still holding a baby and a toddler if they're alive, which I doubt...
Sorry I didn't mean to turn this into a speech but I think just too many people don't realize what's really going on. They somehow think that the Palestinians and Israel are similar and then it's just a question of picking sides.
The simply isn't true and sadly a good number of Arabs and this includes Palestinians have been fed hatred and lies for generations. Golden Meir once said that we will have peace when the Arabs love their children as much as they hate the Jews.
Sadly we have not yet reached that point.

Good Morning Friends!
This weekend I will be at my Yarn Retreat. I am leaving around noon and won't be back until late Sunday, so don't worry if you don't hear from me.
Sandy, That is great news about your MD improving! Sorry that scheduler is such a nitwit! Hopefully you can get the appointment you need!
Sharon, You have to start reading THE GREAT ALONE. It was one of my favorites of Kristin Hannah's books. Once you get into it you will like it. It has some similarities to WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING. Lots to do today. I had better get a move on. Have a great weekend everyone!

Sandy Iām glad your shot and Rosieās went as planned.
Shagrae I totally agree that we do not know everything happening. And most are uninformed about history.
Don said we got 1/2ā of rain which is wonderful.
Today I will bake an apple pie, wish me luck. Later I will prepare a roast beef, carrots, mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus and a nice salad. It will be nice to enjoy DD Laura and Scott tonight.
Enjoy your day friends.

Good morning TGIF
Itās been a very busy week with the DGDs on school vacation. Lots of fun! DGD 6 has horse back riding camp for half the days which sheās enjoyed. Her American Girl doll finally arrived so a great week for her.
Yesterday I went to the city for my Pulmonary test. I had an excellent technician so it went well. I have to go back next week to see the Pulmonologist. Iām walking 30 minutes at least twice a day on my treadmill and feeling great! Iām reading or watching a favorite tv show so it goes by fast. Dinner each night is kale, quinoa, cucumber, tomato, avocado, cucumber, black olive, green onion, cilantro and lemon juice salad. Itās easy, nutritious and easy!
Karen E such a brave little angel is Ruthy. Thinking of her always.
Enjoy your new home Geri. It all sounds lovely.
Ruth I saw that the āexercise boardā you mentioned is helpful for tremors. One can sit down using it. I thought of Jane.
Great news that DS/DDIL will be here for Mothers Day. We will all go to brunch with DDILs DM at a Golf Course with great food and a great spot for DGDs to enjoy.
Everyone seems to be busy and staying healthy. Sharon such an adorable cat. Sandy, Rosie is so feisty and sweet!

Good morning I played trivia at the clubhouse last night. I knew a few answers but I couldnāt understand a lot of the questions because the sound was bad for me. It was ok so I think I will try again next month.
I took a gift card to my next door neighbor because they go back to Germany soon. Then when I was leaving for trivia they were cleaning my gutters and my sprayer for weeds growing in my pavers was frozen so I couldnāt finish the job and I see this morning they did! How blessed to have these wonderful people here. They are so kind to me.
I go for my MRI tomorrow. Since I wonāt drive on the freeway I take an hour to get to the south part of Naples. I live in the northern part of Estero so it adds to the time . May be a little less traffic this time.
I am glad the Billy Joel concert is on again since I missed it before. I will record it this time.

This is Coraās āgotcha dayā as itās been two years we got her from the shelter. We sang happy birthday to her and she was scared. LOL Weāve not the best voices.
The pie is in the oven and of course I forgot the bit of flour with the filling so it will be runny. Iāll serve it in bowls.
I havenāt had my shower yet so I will wait until the pie is out. I have a bit of the crust scraps cut in strips and on a pan to bake. I add a bit of sugar and cinnamon.

Greetings:
I know something I should try to add for the next month's change. I would very much like to be able to work on a project, add doing it to my day, without totally tossing out my routine! I'm about done with taxes. We'll go over the spreadsheet today, but over the last couple of days that's about all I did. I di go to my exercise class and play mah jongg yesterday, and that was big, but it's so easy for me to fall down the rabbit hole of a project to the almost exclusion of anything else.
QTOD:
Which celebrity would you want as your other BFF and why? There are a couple I'd "interview". I'd pick a writer whose books I like and who I think is fairly "down home" Annette Dashofy, Julia Spencer-Fleming or Rhys Bowen come to mind. That's her pen name.
Out of all your family members, who are you closest to? Well, with my family as it is, probably my younger son. My sister and I were never close and as we grew into our lives, we got even further apart. She and her husband had some rough times and I had a mess with my resident alcoholic. I was pretty focused on my own problems as was she. Now that those situations area behind us, we're holding on to small threads and that's probably the best it'll ever be. Those of you who have good sibling relationships, treasure them.
What do you do when no one else is around? I believe that is is critical that we each have time alone. It's harder now that Bill doesn't drive. It was always easy for me to take that time when he went to the grocery store, but now, I take the time he plays poker. I will make a cup of a special tea and read a book most of all. Sometimes I might watch a show we've recorded that I know Bill doesn't like.
Vicki, Bill does shake his hand around. After thata disaster, he's started marching in place pumping his hands. He also washes his hands in warm water. He's got low bloow pressure so his goal is to get his blood pressure up. He used to try almost as soon as he got up, but now he moves around a litle, uses his hands, does his marching. Today he got it on the 2nd try. I'm really pleased with how he's taking this. I mentioned it and he agrees that this time is different from when he was first diagnosed and how he gradually faded away. I'm really trying to help him. I eat the same way he does and our desserts have defaulted to yogurt with sometimes a piece of fruit.
Sorry, I just changed the font size
We'll go over the spreadsheet today.
Geri, did you see my question about the color of your kitchen? I just saw the bold was still on.
Sandy, that is great news about your eyes!
Shragae, I have two pairs fo shorts and I wear them only at home.
Sorry, I just changed the font size, but I can't seem to change it back.

Karen C. I had a laugh at your expense. How often I do something on here and have a tough time getting rid of it. Maybe if you shut down the internet and then sign back on the font will go to default

I hate when someone recommends something and then I do it and donāt care for it and donāt want to tell them. Nancy loved a book so I am trying to read it and the first 20 pages were terrible so I picked it up today and it is a bit better but stopped at page 35 . So definitely not something I really care to read. This is an old book and I looked up the reviews . They arenāt good but a movie was made from it. The deep end of the ocean by Jacquelyn Mitchard. It is a 1996 publish. I will read more later

Prettier day today but still cool, there were frost warnings last night and again tonight. Wish these temperatures would settle in to a good pattern. I feel we will go from winter to summer with little spring weather.
I had a thing pop up on my computer yesterday about my cloud account. I called Brenda and she drove out this morning to take care of it. She does appreciate that I do that instead of getting scammed as that is what she said it was. She stayed awhile so enjoyed her visit until she went into politics which like Gail, Brenda and I are not on the same page. I just let her rant as there is no need to disagree with her. When she arrived there was a Siamese cat on my deck step like it lived here. Boo2 was having a hissy but apparently the cat left as I donāt see it now.
Got note last evening Shaynaās quilt is ready to pick up at the quilt shop. I will still need to trim and do the binding.
We got 4 tenths inch of rain yesterday and it didnāt rain all day like radar showed it was going to do. Remained cool and very windy.
I do not mind donating to some causes but if I were to donate to every ad on TV asking for $19.00 or $11.00 per month, I would certainly be broke. I prefer to donate to local cancer drives, and other local drives, rather than National. March of Dimes did help my brother some when he had Polio and needed braces. They no longer provide that as he is an adult, still needs braces.
Itās noon so I should go pick up the quilt. Will try to get some outside walking in at least the short half of my walk. Still cold and windy. 50*
Today is our oldest grandson Leviās 28th birthday.
