Good morning:
Oh yes, finally Friday! Such a long week! I ended up not leaving work early and was late meeting the girls because one of our assistants was having car trouble and needed a ride to the shop (the opposite direction). Everyone else left! I felt so badly for her. Today's last meeting ends at 4:30 pm so I hope to be out after that as my lunch time has a Zoom meeting scheduled again. I (somehow) have to get to the post office today too. Our new mail person will not leave any packages at our house now. It is pretty frustrating as I do not have time to be spending my lunch hour (if I even have one) in line at the post office. Today I am going to ask for some answers about how this can work (again, IF I can even get there). So, I spent about an hour yesterday (my only break in the day) on the phone with medicare and SS about DH's bill for $825 to pay for Part B through 7/31 when I indicated on the forms (when we signed him up) that he was covered. Medicare said that "SS always makes that mistake, call them". SS said NOTHING about acknowledging the mistake, but that we had to go in person (nothing can be done on line) and do it RIGHT AWAY. So DH is going today. What a great first experience with Medicare and SS and we haven't even used it yet and DH is not receiving SS yet (not for two years). So, I was a bit cranky after that. Not with people, but just in general. DH was golfing (of course) and now will need to take this one over. Today will be a better day, right? It was nice to see the girls last night and the brewery was a great location and set up---good to know.
Sue: How great that the driveway will be done soon! Will it be concrete or paved? It looks like the old one is paved? Our driveway is about .25 miles long so it is paved, but it has lasted so well. How great that will all look! Yay for getting back to the pool on Monday! It is so nice to have time away, but it is also sometimes comforting to get back into the routines of the things that make us feel good. My favorite sushi roll is the Cal Rainbow Roll. it is a Rainbow Roll but the "Cal" is avocado on it. I get it almost every time! DH really loves the Dragon Roll -- it is a bit spicy for me. What a treat to have your sushi when you do...one of the boys likes it too, right? I hope that you get all caught up at work today and feel great about it heading into the weekend.
Carole: I hope that you are feeling more rested and had a good day yesterday. This weekend is the anniversary celebration I think? That will be fun! Yep, my oldest is turning 30! Yikes!
Jenny: I hope that the accidents have come to a halt and that your ankle is feeling better. I am glad that, if it HAD to happen, it didn't happen last week when you had the bday celebration and all happening. I wonder if part of it is that you have been tired? When I get tired I feel like everything is a little "off", including my balance.
Jo, Christine, Karen--hope that you all are doing well. Karen, I hope that the wedding plans are now all done and you might enjoy it...I saw about the travel issue that you posted on FB. Hoping that it is a lovely day for you and your family! See you all later!

Jenny: OUCH... hope it wasn't the same hand with the burn!! You poor thing. {{{hugs}}} Hope you can have a low key weekend ♥
Gabrielle: Oh how fun for the kids! Hope they enjoy some time with friends. Thanks, feeling much better today. Was that Meg's house you shared on FB? Nice place, but I don't think I like your weather much better than ours any more
Sue: Sushi definitely NOT my thing! Glad you enjoy it, but no suggestions from me! LOL Hopefully your day today goes smoothly so you can have a clear desk to return to on Monday.
Super jealous of your Simon! But... we had chances to have someone over the years, just never felt we had "enough" to bother with one! HA! Whatever... it will all work out. When the State refund comes in I will move it back to the savings account to cover part of what we paid Federal. No idea if SS is taxed in MA!
Gabrielle: Thanks for starting us off this morning. ☼ Woke to SUN this morning, but it is slowly getting dark out there. Oh sorry you were late meeting the girls, but better late than never? Couldn't she call an Uber? Good of you to help, but sorry it made you late for your meet up. How was the Brewery? I hope you enjoyed some girl time. Oh My... weird the PO won't deliver packages... can't wait to hear why! Welcome to the SS/Medicare NIGHTMARE! Sorry you are with me on that mess. Oh March DH & I each got TWO deposits from SS... our 2nd was just a "catch up" amount, but Geeze they JUST TOLD US in January what we'd be getting, so how the HECK did it change in February! I don't blame you for being cranky... It stinks that so much is done on line now, and this is not one that can be! MADDENING to say the least!! Today will definitely be a better day, and at 4:30 PM I think you should shut your [hone OFF, lock your door and GO HOME! Once home, turn your phone back on... but Get the HECK outta there!!
Yes, this weekend we celebrate 19 years (Tim & Jaclyn)!
Yesterday was a very long day! I went upstairs and basically put EVERYTHING on my bed. I went through 5 jewelry boxes... dipped everything in hot soapy water to shine it up a bit... then it either went into a box for me, a box for Eden, or a box for anyone that may want it! DONE!I am looking on Amazon for a new earring organizer, mine is just so old and can't clean it up well. So once I get that, I will completely reorganize the top of my dresser. I have 2 small boxes that I will keep, as they were souvenirs or gifts. I did trash a lot too, unmatched earrings, that I was holding out hope I would find the other. I probably will find them now! LOL Oh well, I just enjoy the room (almost) completely cleaned. I still never got the headboard cleaned off/organized, maybe Sunday!
SO all the while I was upstairs doing that... DH was "resting" in the recliner, watching (?) TV! I was a bit miffed when I came down and he hadn't started supper!
OK Time to get moving - I need to get some cleaning done for company tomorrow. I will also get some prepping done today, for food next week. Although I placed a Wal-Mart pickup order, so some can't be done until tomorrow. It's all good, it will get done, if not today or tomorrow, there is always Sunday right?
♥hugs♥
