This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends!
We made it to Friday! Not a whole lot written in stone for today or the weekend, at this time. It has rained all through the night and while it isn't at the moment, it's supposed to start back this afternoon. Right now it's just gloomy and drippy.
Jana - Safe travels!
Janet - Oh My Gosh! So glad the tapes showed nothing to be concerned about. But good grief. That mom is a loose cannon, right? I think I would also be just the basic of polite, but nothing more. How sad to put everybody through all of that for nothing. I guess we should be a little appreciative that she fessed up about what he said really happened with your director. Still, all of that worry and upheaval for nothing.
Robin - So glad that you're getting responses and actually have an interview scheduled. But the, I never had any doubt. With all of your experience, anyone would be crazy not to want you on their team. Fingers crossed! Yeah, I'm kind of excited about the new vet option. It's also only about 3 miles further than our current place, so still convenient and totally doable for the little man. I am definitely considering a color change. Currently it's a dark tan with brown trim, but I'm thinking a lighter tan or cream with dark trim work might be a sharper look. When we had the roof changed to metal, I picked a color called "slate", it's a neutral that's greenish, brownnish, grayish...depending on what colors it is with, so gives us plenty of options. I'll just have to see all of the samples in person, I think. Also we're not entirely sure if we're going to go back with a better grade if vinyl or if we'll switch to hardyplank (the concrete planking type of siding). The vinyl would be almost maintenance free, the other would require painting occasionally, so we're not sure.
Jill - I hope today is a good one for you and that you're continuing to improve. I'm sure the weekend is a welcome sight for you.
Susie - are you walking today? What other fun activities are on the schedule for you?
Well, I think I'm going to finish my coffee and get a couple of things done around here. Oh! It's been almost 2 weeks and my tomato seeds are finally just starting to sprout up through the soil. I may end up just buying plants anyway. I don't see how these will ever be big enough to produce for me this year...Ha!

Happy Friday,
Lora, those color choices sound good. I like how houses look with a lighter color and darker trim, but there are so many options that would look great. It is fun to decide! Thanks for the kind words. I think it is funny now that everyone at my old office is telling the manager that she let the person who knew the most go out the door. They are currently re-training the girl who has been there for months, and they now realize that she doesn't know how to do the job. She is the one they hired to replace me months ago! I know that your temps are ahead of ours, but your seeds might be right on time. I always think my plants are going nowhere, then they start going great guns, and I start getting tomatoes in July or so. My YDD has plants growing for me now....my own personal gardener!
Janet, what the heck. I totally agree, the less interaction with that mom, the better. And it is great that your director has your back. I hope you have a really good Friday and a good weekend ahead!
I am ready for my interview. I am confident, but it is still nerve-wracking! I never wanted to be in this position, and if my manager of 10 years hadn't died, I would never have been let go. And the whole office is a mess now. I am still waiting for another manager to reach out to me again, but she seems to be taking her sweet time! I am trying to be very careful about expenses to avoid going into savings, and I will be waiting for my unemployment to kick in for a while, I think. The job interviews are helping me keep hope alive! I'm going to get off of here and be ready to jump onto my interview link. I'll be back!

Hello All - went to my gym class and we had it outside today - it was 52 degrees and I kept my jacket on for half of the class, but at least it was warmer than when we exercised outside during covid at freezing temps - ha! Janet - all that mess for blowing a kiss and touching his hand? Cheez... Jana - glad it turned out to be a positive experience - hope you don't hit a ton of traffic on the way home, but is that ever possible??? Lora - yippee for the new vet. Man, I am so glad that my repairman showed up within the time limit - a no show is just rude!! He evidently does not want your business (and he won't get it either). Robin - hurrah for the interview - good luck! It sounds like the office is a mess and no one knows what is going on... Jill - I can't believe how long my Upper Respiratory infection lasted. I feel like I am finally over it, but it has been 3 weeks. Refilling my coffee and heading to play "Hand & Foot."

Hello again,
Well. The interview didn't happen yet. The weather here is misty and windy and it always messes with my internet out here. I was right on time trying to get on, and she could hear me and we could see each other, but I couldn't hear her. They had squeezed me in for my interview so they were on a tight schedule, so we moved it to Monday afternoon. Whew. I was SO frustrated but kept my cool on there! Of course, as soon as I was getting on there, the dogs went crazy over something and were raising a ruckus and then I couldn't get on.... I thanked her for giving me another opportunity. They must be interviewing a lot of people. Next Friday is my in-person interview with a Primary Care and I'll be meeting with all the doctors in the practice. They asked me to wear scrubs, so I may be shadowing afterwards, not sure. I will still be sending out some applications in the meantime, or at least seeing what is popping up on my searches. After all that, I had to take Breslin to the vet for her routine vaccines. She is just the best girl! I was glad that she hadn't gained any weight from her first visit. I could have sworn she is looking a little chunkier! Must be all the hair. She has a grooming appointment in a couple of weeks.
Susie, I remember those Covid workouts! Gosh we have come so far. Have fun playing Hand & Foot. That game reminds me so much of my mom and her brother and sister. Whenever they would visit we played a lot and I really enjoyed it.
I'm going to do a little cleaning and do some laundry. I need to mow this weekend. I'm also packing up some things that I will be putting up for auction, and I will be dropping those off on Sunday. I will be back. Waving to all for now!

Hi Everyone,
Today started out okay. Just before lunch I checked my email real quick. In hindsight I am realizing what I was responding to may have been a smishing scam. Not 100% but now that I am looking at it more closely I think it was. I got a message saying that the package that I was expecting couldn't be delivered due to an unknown address or insufficient address. It was saying to be delivered again there was a cost. That should have been a clue. It said click On this link ( another clue). The cost was very minimal (.21). I guess because I was frustrated with by saying it couldn't be delivered I wasn't paying attention to these clues. It all looked very official. It said my card couldn't be supported which was weird too and to try another card. I couldn't as I didn't have another card. Later when I was looking at something in the USPS under scams or smishing it said that the USPS didn't send links and didn't charge for re-delivery. Fortunately, I don't see any alerts or any suspicious withdraws from my banking account. I also reported it as a possible scam. Looking at the message it also was written as UsuP which is another tip off. I contacted the company itself as well to see what I can do. It has live caterpillars in it.
Robin, hope things go well next week with both interviews.
Tommorow, I feel like I have a ton of things to do. I might go up to the post office too. I thought about it tonight but they were already closed. It's so hard to get any person to talk to. Ugh! [b
Sunday is the baby shower. Monday is the first night of Passover so I need to make charoset which is a spread you put on matzah. Jill, hopefully you are getting better.
[Have a good night.
