I was sure I had checked in with groups every day and find today that I have NOT done so since the 17th...go figure. Maybe it is cold virus brain fog or something...this is day six of the cold so it should move on soon. Last night my daughter was going through boxes as she moves to their newly ready to live in home. She sent photos of her first birthday party, her and her father at his mother's house when she was tiny, her with me when I was pregnant with her brother, and "bun warmers" I used to wear on my bun - they are covered with silk flowers with one in violets and the other in red, white, yellow, blue more like wild flower bouquet and they are still in the original Jerome Alexander boxes so pristine condition though over fifty years old. She was asking her brother if his daughters might want them. If they don't, perhaps she will/should donate them to a museum.
Anyway...the scale is going down again (163.8 this morning) and I am checking in with my sister daily.
I have leftovers to reheat for lunch and look forward to eating them. It will be a good day!
Will catch up...soon.

June - Myfitnesspal is a free app that I use for tracking as it track some of the micronutrients I am concerned about. Cathy - Hope you can finally kick that cold to the curb. Sadly, none of the next generation in my family is interested is the pictures of the prior generations so aside from a few albums, I have gotten rid of most. I was able to get to the chiro yesterday after work. Had to do things a little differently to accommodate the shoulder but what a relief. Mani at 9. The Charity Ball is tonight. Definitely a planned indulgence. It's a 90 minute cocktail "hour" and the finger foods are to die for.
S - Usual coffee B - BLT on 647 wheat L - Beef broth D - Charity ball E - Walking and strething

Morning all Laken's friends had a sweet housewarming for her last night and the fellowship with all was wonderful. Little Renee has a ball socializing with everyone last night as well. Its all coming together. My house and yard is so neglected so I need to focus on some things here but we are also still helping Laken. AT 3 I have a pedi appt. Will be my first one since last Sept other than my at home do it yourself. Menu planning needs to happen.
June, I've been struggling myself with weight. Can't really fully commit to anything. I'd love to go to ww mtgs if they were close by but they are not. Im also hearing they may be going away.
Cathy, yes, it will be a good day. At least you seem to be maintain in the 160s - I LOVE old family photos. Ive asked my mom if I can have the ones she has but she has not given them to me yet. I hope she has not thrown them out. She does not really take care of things so I'm worried she may have.
Susi, the ball sounds wonderful as well as the chiro visit...enjoy

MJ- saw that you dropped by Friday night after a very full morning/early afternoon at the regional Air Force Base. How many YM members and/or staff participated?
Hoping that that the unit’s YM drill goes smoothly today. Will there be takeout on the way home? Bet pippin & Toots will be ready to kick back & relax with you when you arrive home.
Cathy- those colds can put you in a bit of different headspace. When you didn’t check in though, I assumed that your internet service was sketchy.
What is a “bun warmer”? A maternity top? They sound just lovely and should be treasured in some way. Would be nice fore you to have those special pictures or copies of them. If you do donate the “bun warmer,” perhaps you could also include copies of picture wearing them along with a personal letter. As a social historian, I would be over the moon to have the item, corresponding pictures, a letter of provenance & attached memories.
Congrats on working that scale number down! Staying in the lower 160s is a big stepping stone towards that 150s decade.
Susi- very happy to hear that your chiro session was “doable” and felt good. Thx for sharing what resources you use to make staying in your GW range work. I miss the WW meetings, so I may check into what remaining exist in my area. The vision whiteouts plus 2-week, sugar-filled Xmas visits derailed my WL efforts. Time to check back in. Have fun at the charity dance. Enjoy the special time and people. Love that you know when food is worth your points spurgle.
LaDonna- how sweet of Laken’s family and friends to share in a housewarming. lol. . . I can picture lil Renee lighting up the place with her energy, personality, and smile.
I hear ya regarding the “work.” As you know, at our house something has been under renovation, no room has all the stuff completely back into place, and so on. Thus, it’s been challenging to get motivated. Here’s my lastest approaches to housecleaning or yard work: What’s doable in the time I have? What will make me the most pleased all things considered? Right now, I find I much more willing to clean one room or do one task like vaccum/mop. The other day the big yard task was picking up tons of branches. Usually, I am a “gotta do the whole house” kind of girl.
Here’s what I am working on: the headspace that makes healthy choices a priority and habit.
Being aware that we want to be healthier is a good place. We can easy into that healthier lane together.

Good early-evening, all!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need...
medUPDATE on John's 5-bypass and aFib: even after the cardioversion there were a few instances of aFib but they have deemed him stabilized enough to go home TODAY (this afternoon).
Prayer request: Toots' DBigSis was being taken to the hospital this afternoon. We are curious to hear the report. She mistakenly took her SonIL's medication instead of her "new" insulin earlier this week (she lives with them). She was vomiting and not eating or drinking but her PC and the endocrinologist told her daughter "it's OK - just keep an eye on her stats". She hadn't showered or changed her clothing since Wednesday. Her BP all day Friday ranged between 119/57 and 113/56. But because the two doctors said that it was OK to just "keep an eye on" a thin, sedentary, almost-78-year-old with severe psoriatic arthritis her family didn't seek "live" medical examination until today... well, after they got her washed up before they took her. <meh>.
💞🐵🙈🐵🙉🐵🙊🐵💞
I headed out at 7:15 AM. We had an 8 AM - 2 PM YM full-day drill and I wanted to get a parking space close to the sidewalk entrance to the school. The other door in the cafeteria is accessed over the lawn; no need to deal with mud today (it rained overnight). It was a decent day.
NASCAR Xfinity (Talladega) has my attention right now. Don't know what else I'll do tonight.
Coffee... ☕☕☕... I need a pick-me-up...
🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱🌷☔️🌷🌱

June, If I could take about a month off from work I might could get some stuff done but just Sat and Sun only ain't cutting it LOL WHen is your Niagra trip?
MJ, I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL - I pray she is ok and glad she was finally taken to be seen about. Sounds like John made it out pretty well.
UPDATE on MY AIRBNB - I did get my refund but I had to initiate it with airbnb. AFter I spoke with them, they sent me a link where I had to go in and request the refund and let them know I did not want funds applied to another rental. The host (the arse) did not bother to tell me any of this nor did he ever once apologize for double booking. I did not appreciate his attitude at all. I did find another place at Fripp but went thru VRBO this time.
