Good morning all. A nice sunny but cool morning here today. Sis has already left for her next adventure down at the big horse show. We had a really nice day yesterday, I just let her talk and I think it's good therapy for her
We had fun in Steven's Point and may try to take another trip up in June when Herrshner's has it's big warehouse sale. We thought the sale room was great yesterday but the clerk said, wait til the sale!! After lunch we found a cute bakery where I way overindulged on a chocolate cookie "sandwich, filled with chocolate buttercream. Swoon! At guess the NSV is I still have 1/2 of it in the fridge here and will wrestle with my conscious today to see if I eat the rest or not. Maybe I'll count it as my Bday treat for DH 65th and get him something he would like later.
I so did not want to track all the calories and points this morning, but it didn't turn out as badly as I imagined and I can earn some weeklies back and be BOT today. I didn't buy a lot of yarn, but working on a chunky pink hat that I think will be cute and it yarn cost $1.65, can't beat that. DS said he drove down to NY yesterday to celebrate the GF mom's bday and then another friends. They all were headed into the city last night, hope they stayed away from all the crazy stuff going on downtown. He said he'd call his dad today. I went to Camping World on our journey yesterday and got DH the Atlas with all the campgrounds marked in it. Then they talked me into a Good Sam yearly membership for $39.95. I guess it will be worth it. They gave me another campground and points of interest guide for free that was for sale for $35, I got $10 of my other Atlas and if we use any of their campgrounds it's 10% off, plus some discounts on propane fills and free dump water availability. I sound like a commercial
Can always not renew next year if it isn't worth it, I already get some of this stuff from AAA. Was looking this morning and we leave in a little over 2 weeks. Soon we'll all be traveling
Cindy, you need to plan a trip! Guess I better moving. Going to do a small grocery run, get some outside time, maybe get some more bark spread. I need to get flea meds or collars for the cats, tis the season. Hope you all have a good day. Jan
Cindy So sorry to hear about the friend of DS and all his heartbreak. Glad you could feed him and listen. Pretty sure I wouldn't function at all on the amount of sleep you got, even with coffee. At this point the cat sitter said she'd probably stay some days and I'm hoping that's what she does. I don't want her to feel nervous alone in the house but she's over 30 so maybe she'll be fine. She said she'd actually like some time away from her room mate and I don't think she'll be working as she's just finished up at the tax office too and not sure if she has anything else lined up yet, or even wants to work for a while. I'd like to meet up with some of my Oregon friends, see if we decide to drive up there after Yosemite and then head home on the northern route on 90. The salon was an Aveada place so maybe that's just something they do. I've probably just never been to one as I'm too "thrifty" ha ha Enjoy your Doves.
Amy Sounds like a nice day and good BD for DD. Hope your foot is feeling better before your trip. Maybe it was just too early for the plant guy? I always get sucked up into the chips and salsa before the meal
Glad you could bring your extras home. Are you taking any projects with you to stitch on the plane or leaving it all at home. Hope you get some nice days on your trip. I'm trying to find a little portable travel scale to take in the van. I'm sure DH would think I'm crazy but I saw a lady on the WW site who is road tripping for months at a time and she says it just gives her peace of mind, on keeps her more on track then waiting to see the "news" when she gets home.
GG Looks like you are having a really fun weekend with family. Did you get the custard? What flavor? Yay for having the points for Red Lobster. Enjoy. If you have heard from Murphy, remind her we are all thinking of her.
Cathy That sounds like a nasty virus that won't go away. Maybe this will be your week to shake it loose.
I'll try to check in later.
