Good morning everyone
Betty- how are you feeling?
Yesterday did a lot. Got in 4800 steps. Started off gardening out front and I am almost finished. Picked up a grocery order. Repaired another wicker chair. All I need to do is re attach the wicker base to the frame. Needed to do the arms and back rails. The actual wicker is in great condition. So the black plastic twine is working perfectly. Will do the last chair today.
Might attempt one end table today. I think the end tables will need a different type of repair. The actual wicker is un weaved around part of the glass top. Will try it with what I have and with the hot glue it might work. Hopefully if I will carefully glue the areas back where they belong that works. I will evaluate if I can take off the wicker āframeā around the glass top. I think I can if needed. Will just be a normal glass top end table.
I am using a mini hot glue gun. It can get into tight spaces without a mess. Using gorilla glue sticks.

I have gained weight that isnāt going away.
Today getting more serious on tracking what I am eating. Thatās the only thing that works for me. I do think one problem is the peanut M&Ms. Itās the only dessert I am eating but eating a few to many some days. I cut out cookies. I have reduced chips but probably should eliminate them.
Lin- hopefully yesterday went better and all of you got a good nights sleep.

It did, Mar, we had a really good Mexican dinner nearby.
She is being picked up by another friend for a morning walk at the community college rose garden and I hope to go to a nice crepe cafe for lunch. She really likes crepes. After that, no idea yet.

Morning All!
Mar sounds like your wicker project is moving along smoothly. Hope it works out for you. As I said yesterday, love wicker furniture.
Lin, hope things calm down a bit and your company continues on an even keel. I know she has health issues, but right now, so do you, so you have to remain calm and sereneā¦ā¦ Let it all roll off you backā¦..
Cloudy day here, but they are saying it will clear up by mid-dayā¦ Typical spring weather for the north east. Temps will get into the 60sā¦.
My original plan to clean out the garage for clean up week here has been altered a bit. Instead, Iām having my nephews take out things that I have laying around the inside of the house and carry that out for removal. There are extra tables, lamps, a night stand, etc. that are just taking up space upstairs ā making everything appear cluttered and old. Thatās the stuff, Iām going to get rid of first. That and have them help me set up my deck and power wash the areas that got mossy and ugly. Then during the summer ā when I can open the garage doors and go through all the stuff in there, I will call 1-800-got junk and have them take it all away. Finally, will get rid of the old freezer in there and some ancient chests that were moved into the house 40 years ago and havenāt been touched since. The problem with a big house is that someone is always parking things here, when they donāt have space themselves. That and the fact that there is extra room, so I donāt notice it until I look and get disgusted with myself. Iām in a dumping frame of mind and will concentrate on getting my house in orderā¦..
Marilyn, I appreciate the way you keep your weight in check and never let it get away from you too much. I wish I could say I do the same. My problem is that I gain weight so fast, that before you know it, Iāve got a whole batch to lose. Thatās where I am now, and I guess, havenāt finished beating myself up for that. Youād think after 70+ years of self-defeating criticism up about this, I would finally call it quits in the blame game and just deal with itā¦.. Trying, but old habits die hard.
Time to start the day. Wishing all ā find something to smile about.

Betty, hope each day gets a bit better for you and that is a quick case of Covid. My DGD in law was good in 5 days. Everyone is different but you were just getting back into the groove of driving and getting out. Hope it is not long.
I have slowly weeded out the things in my basement that are not mine but storing for family members. Things like fishing poles, guns etc that I have had since they went to college and Mom's were moving. My DDs have long since gotten some things but the boys are bad about taking back some of the stuff. Told them to do it now or have to do it when I am gone!!!
Right now the home made horse with heavy duty base and big springs will stay here. When the little ones come they like to go to basement and ride the horse, ( it is an old carousel horse, remounted) Each child has a different name for her, him or what ever the case may be. Ezra just says Horse.!!! Charlie is pretty sure it is Twinkle and Emma says it is Sparkle and Elias doesn't much care!!
But it is always a good thing when anything get taken back from here. My shredder died yesterday and I will order a new one from Amazon. Still have a pile of old income tax papers to get done. Could take them to Office Depot but this is just easier. now sure I really trust someone to do them. Our bank used to have the big machine in parking lot once a year but that is so busy and congested I haven't done that either.
Not sure what all DD did to straighten out my computer but it is back to being fast again and the email part works great and I didn't think to tell her about that. New passwords, and pins and about 15 minutes and not sure what else she did for me. But sure glad she did . I was lost without the computer.

Betty- didnāt know you have Covid. The meds make a bad taste in mouth. Cheetos and peanut M&m helped that. lol lol
Connie- glad your computer is working well again.
Lin- lunch sounds good. Enjoy
Dayle- I also know how easy it is to gain weight. Hopefully both of us can get a handle on it.
On a mission to get miscellaneous crafty projects done.
After the wicker is all finished, my next project will be to paint an outdoor big iron bike with 3 planters, paint 2 outdoor 4ā high iron candle holders and 2 iron tiny end tables that use an 12ā tile as the top. That should go quickly. Will put out plastic sheeting to protect against spray paint getting on anything other than what I am painting. Will do everything in one day.

Betty, so sorry you have Covid. Guess the stuff is still around. Hope it's just a mild case.
Nothing new here, just hot and still not thrilled with the new iPad.
Enjoy the day.

Geraldine, I am still getting used to mine. There are things I can't do any more but it is will fine. I like my pictures on it and easy to check my grocery store sale flyer. I am upset that I cannot "message" some of my contacts. But will just do it on my Iphone. I do need to ask my GSIL about the EMail. I am getting it but can't send it. He is the guru as that is what his career in.
thank goodness for knowing relatives.
I can't wait to hear if my DGD liked the purse I picked out for her. I am always a bit worried as she is particular but think I did good job. Also sent her my big purse that I only used for the airplane trips carry on. It held everything and didn't like to mess with a regular carry on. Even had room in it for a hard cover book that I usually bought at the Pittsburgh Airport shops. Was always fun to go early and check out the shopping area. One of the largest for airport, Just a perk of flying. My DD will be able to tell if she really likes either one or both and DGD would not tell me.
