APRIL 21 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT βοΈ πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week [not yet - still dealing with the cold] π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every dayβοΈ ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <163.8>
That is interesting...down from 169.6 at the beginning of last weeks' thread. Maybe that is why they suggest doing weekly instead of daily weigh-ins though sometimes a huge increase is depressing Anyway, incentive to stick with eating and tracking OP.
The cold is on its way out. I will be going to the store later today to buy ingredients to make the butterscotch pudding and perhaps a few other things. Hoping to be 100% fine by Tuesday for the tasting and Wednesday's lunch out.
Talked to our daughter yesterday and hope to talk to our son and his family today. Want to find out what dates NOT to plan to visit my son's family as my daughter is pretty available till August. My sister and brother will also be consulted as we are all getting older and I don't see them coming to see me so I should go see them.
My daughter has sent photos of what must feel like opening a time capsule after not seeing some items for nearly a decade. I will share a photo of the bun covers/warmers I work in HS/college then sent to college with her so she could wear them. She wants to find out if her nieces/my granddaughters might enjoy wearing them and if she should send them their way.
Here's wishing us all a successful week achieving our goals!

APRIL 22 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT βοΈ πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week [not yet - maybe today] π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every dayβοΈ ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <163.8> [day three]
Talked to our son and his daughters from the swim meet venue. Quick talk but nice to hear their voices and see their faces. I went shopping to buy the ingredients for butterscotch pudding and will make it later today to take to the pudding tasting tomorrow. My husband is still wearing a mask hoping to not catch the cold though he didn't have one on the day before I caught it...whatever. I asked the person organizing the pudding tasting and she said to come so, I will.
No real news...so will keep this short today.

All good here! Earth Day today and it's gorgeous out, though chilly. My husband went out fishing early this morning but returning ~ noon. I was up and out and soon have daytime Mah Jongg. Someone is picking me up. I ate my breakfast ~ 9:30. Did not make my steps count Did my teeth Did my D/N and Habit Tracker Got outside! Spent the day with my dad's wife yesterday. We went to an author talk at a local library to see Christian Cooper who wrote "Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World". It was chosen for the Long Island Reads Selection Award. I own it on audio and loved the bird sounds interspersed. But it is about so much more than birds. He was an amazing speaker too! I asked Joy to come because she and my dad fed the birds daily. They had 4 feeders including one for hummingbirds and we would sit out on the deck for many hours and just watch them. She hadn't read the book and really didn't know much about him but enjoyed the afternoon as much as I did. Of course we also made sure to have a nice meal out. Cathy, those bun warmers look brand new! You must have been a true flower child! Hope you're feeling better! Waving to everyone!

APRIL 24 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week [not yet - maybe today] π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every dayβοΈ ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <167.2> [PUDDINGS - OH MY]
Yesterday was fun but high point! Today could be the same BUT will get back on program tonight when I get back home. Yesterday was a pudding tasting with 7 puddings and desserts to try plus quiches and salad. OH MY! Today is a lunch at a new Irish woman friend's home and she is having beef and potatoes and I am not sure what else. I need to go pick some flowers for her then get ready to drive to the venue.
KAREN: I think that my sister read or listened to the book about the birds that you mentioned and she loved it, too. As for the bun warmers...they have been in the boxes most of the time and probably not worn for twenty years. No idea if my granddaughters will want them or not.

Did not reach my steps goal Did my teeth Did not do my D/N or complete my Habit Tracker Got outside Cathy, your pudding tasting with quiche sounds fabulous! My eyes would've been popping out of my head. I'm glad you're feeling better, able to taste, and out & about! Waving to all!!

APRIL 25 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week [not yet - maybe today] π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every dayβοΈ ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <170.4> [California lemonade, salad and quiche, braised in lemon sauce tender beef with mashed potatoes then pavlova and a lemon cream pie on crumb crust with cherry sauce dessert with wine at every course - OH MY]
The scale is up SEVEN POUNDS in two days and I am going out again today. At least Rosalie is wiser about food and adheres rigidly to her diabetic diet SO today should be better. We will drive into Beirut to Le Mall, window shop, try things on, maybe buy something, might hit an outlet, will have lunch, and have fun together. I am behind in reading, am up on the scale, and plan to PLAN and get this weight off soon as I can!

I'm up a little too. Time to assess and make some changes. Travelling tomorrow to MA for the weekend to see the kids. That could help. Did not reach my step count Didn't do my D/N or Habit Tracker - did it this morning for today though Got outside Did my teeth Yesterday was a great day. Book Club went well and everyone enjoyed the restaurant. Made a new slow cooker meal and had 2 Zoom yoga experiences. Did all my puzzles & Duo too. I have to pack today and get started on some laundry. And I just found out I have a new requirement for renewing my nursing license but I have a year to do it. Since I paid for the Continuing Ed already I can do it there. I already received my license. A new email came yesterday saying that I needed to take this one module again so I opened it up and I can do it in 2 hours. Maybe today would be a good day for that too. I don't think it was a requirement a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad I paid attention to it. Sorry about the scale Cathy. I wanted a treat last night really badly but had a talk with myself and didn't. But now a whole new day filled with choices lays ahead of me! Ugh! Waving!

APRIL 26 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT βοΈ πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every dayβοΈ ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <169.6> [down a smidge]
Yesterday was fun though the last slog of driving was miserable with three lanes of southbound cars coming at me on a two lane road and me standing my grown, inching forward, and pushing through with a line behind me. I felt like one of those ice breaker ships or something.
Rosalie and I had fun. We priced things, she helped me find two pair of slacks and three tops for under fifty dollars, we had lunch and agreed that next time we'd get one burger then divide it in half and share with a salad to share, too, instead of each getting our own burger and fries.
Today I am behind in reading (still) and books will archive. I have done two loads of laundry and wait for the clothes on the line to dry. I made a healthy one skillet meal for our lunch. I have tracked everything and am within points so far for today. I told my husband that he needs to eat or we need to toss some of the sweets. We tossed one container and that helps as the rest are not items that I want to eat. The plow may come this afternoon. We have two BIG BAGS of fava beans to take out of the pod and cook but I have other things that take priority. The heat wave has broken so tonight should be easier to sleep.
KAREN: Have fun on your trip north to see family!

Thanks Cathy! Organizing everything now before my shower! Glad you had a successful shopping trip and got back safe & sound. The icebreaker image was just perfect! I'm glad the heat wave has broken. Did not make my steps though came much closer Did my Habit Tracker & D/N Did not do everything that my dental regimen requires Got outside but not much Somehow when I drive up north I get my steps those days. We'll see. My daughter and I will share a room at the same place my son & his family go in Mexico in November. I think it's Isla Mujeres. I've been to Mexico a few times but never there. We fly to Cancun and then have to take a ferry and when we disembark it's a golf cart that we will be driving around! Not totally clear on all the details but it's not until November. It's the week of Thanksgiving. I sent the deposit for the room yesterday. Did some laundry too. Waving!!
