Good morning. This thread will last us through the end of April. 2024 is moving along quickly!
I bought ingredients to make butterscotch pudding to take to the pudding tasting event tomorrow and now wait for the organizer to say aye or nay to me coming since I still have a bit of a runny nose on day 8 of this cold. I know there is a woman over 90 who will be there so don't want her to catch it but...do want to go. We will see. NOT going would mean being more likely to stay OP, though!
Yes I Did: Track every BLT...even the three caramel filled chocolate covered Cadbury eggs...had NO idea how many calories/points they had but tracked them and am glad today is the beginning of a new week!
Yes I Can: Track every BLT, make healthy choices, hydrate, stay positive
Books: will finish the book by Lisa Black, write the review, and choose the next book to be read.

Happy Monday evening positive peeps! Cathy, glad you are feeling better from last week. Wow hope that you get to go to all the places for visits, yes you must see your siblings LOL! Make it short and sweet if necessary LOL! Sally, woohoo welcome back! Did you take a few trips or was it one long trip? I haven't been good at following along closely here or on FB. Glad you had a great time though. The travel eating would do me in. My GERD probably would have kicked right in but that probably wouldn't have stopped me Jan, yay for the last visitors, adios! You can do that 10 lb. I will be your buddy, I have a goal to hit the 20 lb mark by end of June. I'm still at 11 lb down, so 9 to go before then. Head is back in the game. We can do this! Waves Carol and Janet! No Sally do not know how to check on Janet. Hopefully all okay there. I was thinking she'd be back after tax season over. Yes Sally starting to finally see some signs of spring here. My hyacinth is blooming, looking for my tulips to appear. Our neighbor's daffodils are blooming. Last weekend we did have powdered donut snow but I think that is over now. Slopes closed this week! Yes I CAN: -Get outdoors tomorrow, I need a push and the weather has been nice finally. -Keep kitchen closed tonight. -Make it day 3 (tomorrow) of no meat/cheese, more plant based choices. -Add more weights in See you tomorrow, hopefully! Nat

Good Tuesday noon, positive peeps π£π₯!
Cathy, yes we CAN make healthy choices!
Nat, yay for good weather and blooming flowers!
Jan, thinking of you, hoping you are resting up after all the visitors, including doggies!
Janet, where are you? Hope all is well and you are just busy. Sending light your way...β¨
Sally, yay for happy travels & good to see you on here again! I have been off track for the past month or so, too many meals out, which is a great challenge for me...maybe it's because of all the choices I'm presented with and also my early life when "going out to eat" was a big occasion, a time to go wild! I still do have a problem with portions and "extras" at restaurants. Oh well, we CAN do this....
Yes I DID: --enjoy cello choir...working on a lovely challenging piece and determined to do it justice --enjoy a walk outside after my routine eye doctor appt yesterday, while I waiting for Sweetie to pick me up. Lots of sunshine, fresh air, & blooming trees around the huge parking lot. I got in a mile. --start to declutter again, trying to establish a routine
Yes I CAN: --manage my time better... still get lost online sometimes and need to take more breaks and be aware of how long I'm sitting! --stop eating when not hungry!

Happy Turning the Page Tuesday. Just got the happy news this afternoon that my knee surgery is on June 5th. I am so glad to finally have a date and know that it is really going to happen. I know that the summer will be one of recovery, but my pal who just had surgery in January says that constant pain is gone, Looking forward to that and some great walks. Nat: I will take you up on the 10 lbs by end of June challenge! I need to get very serious in the time before surgery too. Have been stress eating worrying about all things medical. That ends today. Now. Let's do this friend. Cathy: So sorry that cold is lingering...sending sun and less congestion! Sally: Glad you're back. How is the beautiful Nora? Carol: Glad it's Spring in your world. Very grey skies and overcast here the past few days. Need some sun. I have had some bunnies visit me lately. Very cute. Janet: Can you tell we miss you? Phone Home. Back tomorrow, sweet dreams all, Jan

It was a high point but fun day yesterday. Today I have lunch in Byblos at an Irish woman's home and there will be beef and potatoes and I am not sure what else. I look forward to a lower point meal soon. There were 7 pudding varieties yesterday to sample plus quiche, salad, and wine...oh my! So behind on my reading. No time to do justice to and comment on your posts but glad to see so many of them!

Good Wednesday morning, positive peeps π£π£!
Cathy - I hope you enjoyed your very Irish-sounding beef & potatoes, LOL
Nat & Jan - I'm in for the challenge of getting back to my true target wt, which would be -5 lb, by end of June. I need to make peace with "eating healthy" at meals out. The brunches tend to be a challenge when pancakes are on the menu, but so are much healthier options! And for the monthly lunches with retiree pals, it's almost always brown bag, so I have no excuse, LOL!
Yes I DID: --get out for a lovely long walk at the ponds and bird sanctuary trails, first time this season. I've now observed muskrats at two locations on my walks now, different creeks and ponds in the area. We've had a very wet April and mostly mild temps..guess they like that! --wind down earlier, feel better in the a.m. --enjoy getting my tax refund, yay!
Yes I CAN: --aim for earlier wakeup schedule...I get so much more done in the a.m., definitely a morning person --begin to tackle the boxes again
Be well! Carol

Happy Thursday. Day Two went well. Taking it one day at a time. Tomorrow, I need to get out of the house. Will do a healthy grocery shop in the morning and try for having some fun in the afternoon. Not sure what is in the cards. Very overcast today did not rain as predicted, but that's ok. I put my air fryer to work today with some pork chops and grilled broccoli and half of a cob of fresh corn. The corn was surprisingly good for being so early in the season. Carol and Nat: Let's really work to make these next 4-6 weeks count and lose that extra girth. I'm excited you are both with me. Eating out is hard though Carol. I try to choose a restaurant that has gourmet healthy stuff that doesn't blow the points bank. Cathy: I would fail the pudding challenge taste testing! Not a big fan. Now if it was chips or cookies... Be safe in your travels friend! Trying for a better night's sleep tonight so off to bed at 8 pm. WOW. Hope this helps. Hugs to All, Jan

Two days and four or five books to read before they archive BUT had to do laundry today and the last three days were pretty much spent out and about. Yesterday was fun with Rosalie but traffic on the way home between Batroun and Chekka was miserable with me facing off with three lanes of cars all wanting to go south on a two lane road and me trying to go north with a long string of cars behind me. This happens all the time in traffic in Lebanon with everyone trying to push into the front and actually making traffic worse.
I found five articles of clothing in outlet stores and spent 7 dollars for one pair of yellow linen slacks, 16 dollars for some white cotton slacks, and 8 dollars each for three tops: 1 dark brown t-shirt, 1 light yellow t-shirt, and one longer top of jersey-like fabric with a drawstring wait that hit lower than the behind or could be up higher and patterned in small-medium sized geometric print in gray-white-yellow.
Rosalie and I agreed that next time instead of two burgers we will buy one and share it and get a salad to share, too.
Today is laundry and tracking food. Scale is down about half a pound or so and I am back on track again - told hubby he has to eat or we will throw out the rest of the puddings.
It was hot yesterday and sleeping was difficult under the mosquito net - no blanket or even sheet as it was sweltering feeling.
Here's to all of us achieving our weight loss goals as well as any other goals we set for ourselves!
Yes I Did think while ordering things yesterday while out and about Yes I Can track it all and stay within points today.

Happy Saturday, positive peeps π₯π₯!
Yesterday I DID: --have a yummy omelet for lunch with a friend at one of our favorite diners. --enjoy my lesson...mostly. I always learn something, but for some reason, maybe fatigue, I felt very klutzy and out of tune during my lesson. The time for my lesson, 3:30, is probably my worst time for brain clarity, LOL. It's funny, when late afternoon rolls around, my Sweetie goes to take a nap and I usually go out for a walk or hike as the fresh air tends to revive me! So, too bad my lesson is right at that time. Oh well! Cello choir is at a better time, late morning. --enjoy a nice neighborhood walk before dinner (yay for daylight increasing!). Lots of spring flowers are starting to emerge.
Yes I CAN: --declutter --wind down earlier
Be well! Carol

Happy Sunday, positive peeps π£π₯!
I may have mentioned that our neighbor across the road has been relocated to assisted living several miles away and his family has been clearing out his house. Any good stuff, i.e. furniture & household items, was already carted away by family over the last few weeks or put at the curb (and immediately picked up!). We did manage to snag a sturdy metal shelving unit from the curbed items. Now there's a big dumpster in his driveway, being rapidly filled with old boxes & junk. I can't believe there was still so much "stuff" in that house, it didn't look that big from the outside! I really need to do something about the feral cats... another neighbor & I've still been feeding them. There's one stray kitty in particular that I wish I could adopt, but my sweetie has allergies. I don't know if it's possible anyway, that is, I don't know if Inky could be happy as an indoor cat and if she were outside in our yard, I'd worry that she'd try to cross the busy road to get to her old territory. And then there's the potential conflict with the birds & other wildlife. I will at least contact the Humane Society to see what they advise about the feral cats.
I've been trying to wind down earlier but I still have trouble falling asleep, and now I awake earlier to the sun. Of course, by the time I finished breakfast today, it was raining again! Oh well, maybe I'll finish some indoor chores.
Yesterday I DID: --weigh in at WW studio. Still free but on the high end of my range. Still aiming for -5! --walk indoors, just a mile. It was a spritzy day outside. --church. Busier on Sat than on my usual 8am Sun.
Yes I CAN: --get some indoor chores done --commit to NOT tuning in to any online stuff after midnight except for meditation
Be well! Carol

Happy Sunday Evening. Just a quick check in. Day 5, doing well. I started a 2000-piece puzzle with my Sweetie so staying out of the snacks. Been working in the garden and colored my hair today so I feel more human. LOL. Cathy: I can't imagine that traffic. At least here there are four lanes plus going each way! Yellow pants made me smile. Such a bargain too! Carol: Sorry about your neighbor and the cats. My walking buddy is trying to tame a feral cat. Good luck to you both! Sweet Dreams and I WILL be back tomorrow. Jan
