Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Doing well on my closet decluttering. I would say about half of my clothes are in bags ready for donation. I will put the bags in my car and drop off later. Out of the house is always good.
Today I’m just doing basic housework, dusting, vacuuming and the like. I have a load of laundry going, another to follow.
I also plan on pruning my hydrangeas. I watched YouTube to see where to clip. Would love to have them flower this year.
Enjoy your day

Good morning all. I tried getting on here last night and they must have been doing an update or something because I kept getting all kinds of error messages and weird stuff. Oh well.
Joy, we have a huge hydrangea next to our front steps and in front of the porch. Thing started out in a 5-gallon bucket and now has just taken over the entire corner. They told us it would and I didn’t believe them. I wish Stan would cut it back some because it’s overgrown the stuff that was in front of it. It’s gorgeous in bloom but overpowering! Ours sort of survives on Devine neglect!!!
Closets are on my “to do” list too. I have so many clothes I can’t wear and some of them are 10 years old but I had high hopes. Some are just basic things and some have tags on. Going to donate most of them. The dress I wore to younger DD’s wedding from 2009 is there and it’s a basic style but I don’t know if I’ll ever be that size again. That one is dark purple and I have an identical black one. May keep the black and get rid of the purple. Also the dress I wore to her wedding rehearsal. Needs gone.
My primary doctor said to discuss my A1C with my endo on Friday during our zoom meeting. I’m just not interested in shots and I don’t know if my insurance would cover it anyway. Speaking of insurance, we are to get a check this week from insurance for Stan’s first 4 acupuncture treatments. Of each $90 visit fee, they are covering $67.55; so total of $395 we will see $270.20. Not what we had expected, but at this point we’re happy with anything. We have 3 more claims in and out of that $270 we will see $112.65; again not what we’d like but it’s what it is.
Stan left for Pedal Class and I need to get moving. I’ll try to come back and chat more tonight. Have a good Earth Day all.

Joyce, sounds like you are doing a great job with the closet decluttering. Good luck with the pruning. One time Bill pruned our hydrangeas but it didn’t turn out good. He cut off many of the buds and therefore we only had a few flowers, but the next year the plant had many flowers.
Ruth, hydrangeas have a way of taking over a garden area. I hope your endo doctor can be of some help with your A1C on Friday. At least you were able to get some of the money back that you paid for the acupuncture treatments. I added a few more tops/blouses to my donation pile this morning.
Waving to Bonnie and Martha.
We are changing internet providers today. It will mean almost $50.00 a month in savings. The price is guaranteed for 24 months. The price with our current providers goes up several dollars every other month. When Bill called to try to get one of their specials they basically said it wasn’t available to current subscribers. Hopefully the new provider will work out okay for us. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my PCP. I need to see 2 specialists and need a referral for both of them. I want to see a rheumatologist, I do have psoriasis (an autoimmune disease) but think it has advanced to psoriatic arthritis. Both of my sisters have major autoimmune diseases, unfortunately it runs in families.
The internet installers were here and everything seemed to go smoothly. The connection seems to be okay for all of our devices.

Dottie, hope they can get you some help with your autoimmune issues. Older DD has one but they haven’t tried to actually identify which one. I’ve read up some on them and not fun! Painful and can be debilitating too.
Which company did you leave and which did you go to? We’ve talked about leaving Comcast but we’d have to do a bunch of subscriptions unless we went with dish and we’d have to subscribe to Bally Sports to get my Wild games, so for now we stay with Comcast. But I will have to call them one of these days and ask for their best rate for us for what we actually use. You seem to have to do that every few years.
Just got home with groceries and I need to deal with the last of those and I have laundry going and I need to do a couple things downstairs.
A neighbor brought over some boxes for younger DD so since we needed to pick up an order at Target, we dropped off the boxes and the tape and bubble wrap I had for her; and then got the Target order. Will make dinner after while.
Will check in later!
