Joan I missed #2 and #12. I love those quizzes! Really makes you use those elusive brain cells!
Our plumber called yesterday and is coming next Tuesday to replace the galvanized piping so we will have better water flow.
I called the eye center yesterday as I still had not heard back about my next appointment and they said oh it’s scheduled for the 17th at 9 am. I asked when did they schedule it and they said last week. I then asked when had they planned on letting me know? She said I guess they forgot to call you. Then I said what about the fact the doctor was insisting on the 16th and she said he didn’t realize he is not in the office that day so said the 17th would work. So frustrating!
So got the tree trimmed, the plumber scheduled, got the maintenance of the a/c scheduled for the 20th as they said that will be the first day of doing that as it’s been too cold, Rosie goes for grooming tomorrow and Fred said next he will call a landscaper about coming to roll the backyard to get it even again but wants to have them check to see why it’s so uneven as we never had that problem before. I wonder if it’s the fact the cicadas are getting close to burrowing out of the ground and it might be because of the number of them. But will see what the experts say. As for me I just want the ground even again as I don’t want to fall and with the way Rosie runs around I don’t want her falling and hurting herself.

Sandy I never thought of it but cicadas may be the reason for our yard being lumpy. Eww.
I haven’t seen the hummingbirds yet either.
Carolyn how are things with you and your family?
I made eggplant Parmesan a couple days ago. The rind was a bother when we ate it. Do you cut it off before cooking?
This is clean the kitchen day, thoroughly. Then a long walk.
QOTD: 1. What is your go-to small meal? Could be lunch or light supper. 2. Are you a late night snacker? If so what?
Bonus question ( I like Karen C’s format) 3. Do tell - how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many would you say you actually wear?

Good Morning Friends!
Yesterday was busy and the rest of the week will follow suit. Today after I teach my 2 yoga classes Mike wants to go pick up my ring because it is ready. He also wants to look for a new mattress. We have been putting that off for a long while but it is definitely time.
Joan, Your quiz was fun and made me think. I missed the very first one but got all of the others correct. I don't know why I couldn't figure out the first one.
Have a great day everyone! Will BBL for QOTD.

Good morning. Another beautiful day here. Sunny and warm, on the edge of hot. 80s for sure. Plan on putting my peonies and lenten rose that I brought my house in the ground today. Appointment with dietitian today, Since mid August I have lost 36 pouunds. After that recycle center, grocery shopping and a trip to Lowes for miscellaneous things.
Just counted my summer shoes and I have 49 pair in the closet. I wear them all or I would have gotten rid of them when I was packing. It was unbelievable how many boxes of clothing and shoes that I gave away. Winter shoes are still unpacked, probably just slightly less, maybe 30-35.
Plan on actually cooking a proper meal in my new kitchen. I have made salads, ground some ham for ham salad and made an egg or two, but no full meals. Have to get into the swing of things here.
#2. I am not a late night snacker. I may have a piece of dark chocolate with my red wine, but that is about 7 or 8 pm.
#1. If I'm in a real hurry and need to eat, I will have about 10 small carrots with hummus and an apple. Maybe 2 or 3 crackers for some dry crunch added.
Hope you all have a productive day, doing whatevere you want.

Is your name Imelda Marcos?
😃😃😃😃😃😃
Good morning.
It's about 60° out and just lovely for a morning walk. Not too many birds this morning...
For some reason I'm clumsy this morning. Actually I'm usually a little clumsy but today I'm a little more so. I spilled my coffee as I went to pick the cup up to heat in the microwave. I kept sloshing things around as I would try to stir the cup....
Oy.
It's the second day of Passover. Are you sick of matzo yet? 😁. Only 6 more days to go!
Enjoy your day.

Good afternoon!
Wordle 1,040 4/6
⬜🟨⬜🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
It's a cloudy 47 degrees today. I don't have anything on my to-do list except putting in the grocery order. Jerry has a cardiologist appt on Friday afternoon, so we'll need to pick the order up tomorrow. I called the landscaper earlier and had them put us on their trimming/mulching list for this Spring. I also mentioned that we needed our flowering plum tree trimmed back because it's tall enough now that some of the branches are resting on the roof of the family room.
Speaking of cicadas....I don't think we're going to see any in central Indiana. According to the map of cicada emergence, they should be all along the Illinois/Indiana border but nothing for the rest of the state. That's fine with me!
QOTD: 1. What is your go-to small meal? Could be lunch or light supper. 2. Are you a late night snacker? If so what?
Bonus question ( I like Karen C’s format) 3. Do tell - how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many would you say you actually wear?
AOTD: 1. Usually scrambled eggs/toast or cheese and crackers along with baby carrots and a piece of fruit. 2. I don't eat after supper. 3. I have a terrible time finding shoes. I have wide feet with a high instep and when you add lymphedema to the equation, it's almost impossible. I own 5-6 pair but usually end up wearing only 2 regularly. I'm so envious of anyone who can find shoes that fit easily.

So there was a 10 foot gator on the Tarmac at Tampa’s MacDill’s Air Force Base airport and seemed unhappy to leave.
A much less windy day in Iowa today. Sunshine but seems filtered. High of about 66* today. Big bright beautiful pink moon last night and tonight. Not really pink but name reflects the color of many spring trees. Some people were noted it did have a pink glow although I didn’t notice that.
Laundry in the works. I may move the old broken electronic to the downstairs back door to be ready to load on Friday to take for disposal in Oskaloosa on Saturday. Rob will probably need to load Kyla’s old flat screen TV. Not sure I can handle that. I did find a hitch pin that will work for the lawn roller but haven’t checked the bathroom stool yet. On today’s agenda.
Think Brenda and Bryon were leaving for New Orleans today but I see she went to Cross Fit Gym first. She posts videos of herself lifting weights, chin ups, etc. She will find gyms along the way as she will not go for a week without her workout daily.
Didn’t have a very restful night last night. My right hip/leg hurt until 5 something, I finally took half a pain pill and got couple hours sleep. I like the pain patches but seem lately I have a skin reaction to them and that doesn’t make me happy. Tonight I will try a pain cream. Still wish I could get the Thera-gesic cream that they did away with. Haven’t found anything equal to it since.
Have a great day.
Again I forgot the daily question
1. What is your go-to small meal? Could be lunch or light supper. Usually breakfast, two slices toast a teaspoon or two of peanut butter, slice my banana , put on toast make a sandwich and that’s my breakfast. 2. Are you a late night snacker? If so what? no not much of a late night slacker. Try to shut it off at 7:00
Bonus question ( I like Karen C’s format) 3. Do tell - how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many would you say you actually wear? can’t really say,. Many are in boxes but also many I don’t wear because almost nothing feels comfortable and some affect my sciatica nerve. Actually wear the Hoka’s daily except for walking as I wear them in the house. Outside I wear ASICS

Shoes. About like Geri but I haven’t counted. I have bought 10 pairs at a time when Easy Spirit puts them on sale. That’s when they are marked down from $70 to $20.
Vickie you might check on line because Easy Spirit has WW shoes in travertine style . Those are my favorites. I haven’t seen them marked down lately but have about a dozen still in boxes and not worn yet. That WW is for double wide and not weight watcher.i have bunions and a corn that is gone for now.
Lucky to get a neurologist appointment for tomorrow. Otherwise none available until after May 20 . So I will find out about my brain scan tomorrow
I was going to Walmart today but now will wait until tomorrow
Kelcy will use his last heart med on Monday so I had a bit of problem getting that refilled but now it will be a different pill but works the same. I don’t know if any work. He coughs a lot which is his heart being pushed on by his lungs. However his eye is looking so good . He is 15 and adorable still.

It was drizzly and gloomy but it’s brightening up now. By this time I’ve settled in to a lazy day. This morning I made some Krista’s gluten free corn muffins. I sub applesauce for the oil and add a mashed banana. Delicious and only 85 calories! Recipe made 12 full muffins.
In winter I have 4-5 pairs of shoe boots but will wear sneakers when possible. I like to get as much movement as possible. I’ve got black new balance for everyday and white for appointments etc. I’ve got several ballet style flats, Coach etc but only for dinners, etc. Summer I’ve got walking sandals and many pairs of dress up shoes. If there’s walking involved I’ll wear walking shoes and put the dressy ones on at my destination. Preserving my feet. Still have too many shoes and will be weeding out shortly.
Heading for the treadmill. My heel started bothering me yesterday. I have some very sturdy walking sneakers I’ll use today. Yikes! I had Achilles heel injury over 40 years ago and it wasn’t fun!
Oh, quick meals. Typically I have soup with a 1.5 c chopped spinach added for brunch and then a quinoa salad later. It’s very full and filling. I have 4 walnuts in the shell, a couple of prunes, clementines, cup cheerios & oatmilk, corn muffin, 40 cal Fudgsicle, as various snacks. Those are standbys and other meals are added occasionally.

Geri congrats on that awesome weight loss. It’s nice to hear peace in your voice today. I know moving and down sizing is a trial.
Jane good luck tomorrow at the new neurologist. Hugs to sweet Kelcy.
Kitchen is clean! One thing I want to do before July when we get new flooring is to get down and wash the toe kick under the cabinets and repaint them.
Don spread weed n feed on the lawn this morning. This afternoon we shopped, if you can call Menards and ALDIs shopping. Then I had my walk.
QOTD: 1. What is your go-to small meal? Could be lunch or light supper. Cheese quesadilla or better yet leftovers. Sometimes a light supper is breakfast, egg or oatmeal. 2. Are you a late night snacker? If so what? No or I will suffer from my reflux in bed.
Bonus question ( I like Karen C’s format) 3. Do tell - how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many would you say you actually wear? I am shoe deprived. I have 12 pair not counting the beat up sneakers I wear working outside. I wear them all at different occasions. I didn’t count winter boots.

Again I lost a long post. Soooo frustrating.
QOTD: 1. What is your go-to small meal? Could be lunch or light supper. Usually a go-to small meal is roasted veggies and salmon in the oven for 18 min on 425 degrees and a small salad. Tonight neither of us was hungry since we had a late lunch at First Watch so we just had a salad and some bread... a French baguette cooked in the oven at 375 degrees until crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. 2. Are you a late night snacker? If so what? Never! When I began WW I would have some air popped popcorn while watching TV at night. I haven’t done that in years.
Bonus question ( I like Karen C’s format) 3. Do tell - how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many would you say you actually wear? I am an active person with 44 pairs of shoes of various types and I wear all of them at different times. I have swim shoes, Zumba shoes, fashion boots, rain boots, hiking boots, sneakers and dress shoes and lots of sandals, which I wear most of the time. I used to have 50+pairs of shoes and was looking them over to see if there were any I wanted to get rid of and it looks like I will be keeping these for a while. I recently got rid of some boots that had too high of a heel and a couple of pair that were uncomfortable. We were middle class without a lot of money when I was growing up, so I never had more than 1 pair of shoes until I was in my teens. I think that is why I like having a lot of shoes.

Here is a YouTube video if anyone is interested. BTW, the alligator was relocated to the Hillsborough River. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIKkjSDAlF4

Good evening, friends. It was another busy but good day. In the morning I delivered books to another elementary school's second graders. Such a joy. When I was introduced, I told them that I still have a few of my favorite books from when I was their age. One little girl raised her hand and said, with a look of wonderment, that her grandma was going to give her a book that was 100 years old. They were so appreciative to each get a book of their own. I got lots of hugs.
Then I had my film class. It was about PRINCESS MONONOKE. Great discussion.
I am winding down and will go to bed early. Tomorrow is a health fair and, after that, a TRX session in the fitness center.
Don't know if I mentioned it, but DD was bitten all over by chiggers. They had spent the day on an island and she knows exactly where they were when it happened. It is getting a bit better, but she has had trouble sleeping.
AOTD: 1. What is your go-to small meal? Could be lunch or light supper. I enjoy a large salad. I put in lots of goodies: cooked beets, red, yellow, and orange peppers, Cucumbers, artichokes, tomatoes, whatever I have on hand. Today I cooked up some scallops and added those. Yum.
2. Are you a late night snacker? If so what? I have to work on not doing too much of that. Good snacks for me are edamame, ff plain yogurt made with berries, or a cup of Nestlé's reduced calorie hot chocolate. I do have popping corn, though, and sometimes have some as a snack by air-popping it.
Bonus question ( I like Karen C’s format) 3. Do tell - how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many would you say you actually wear? I have no idea how many I have. My feet are bad so I cannot wear the same shoes too long and need a number to change into. I have lots of sneakers, some sandals, some dressier shoes, and boots.
Geri, everything is so exciting with your new home. and congratulations on your weight loss!!! I have a lot of shoes, but you definitely beat me with the shoes. 49 summer shoes and 30-35 winter shoes. But I understand people needing to change their shoes!
I NEVER get tired of matzoh, Shragae.
Another gorgeous day today. Not a cloud in the sky and it got up to the low 80s. I was out and about so I enjoyed it.
Thanks for the video of the gator, Ruth. I saw one that size on a grassy area by one of our lagoons this morning. I do like to watch them, but it would totally freak me out to see one on the tarmac.
Jane, keep us posted with the neurologist.
Achilles heel injuries are apparently pretty awful, Marlo. I just finished reading TOM LAKE by Ann Patchett. In it, the main character ruptured her Achilles tendon and described it as feeling like she got shot in the leg.
It is ciao until tomorrow

QOTD: 1. What is your go-to small meal? Could be lunch or light supper. Usually it will be some sort of breakfast like an egg and something. If I'm needing something sweet and we have some, it may be some ice cream.
2. Are you a late night snacker? If so what? No, I don't snack after dinner.
Bonus question ( I like Karen C’s format) 3. Do tell - how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many would you say you actually wear? No idea, but not a lot as I got rid of all my extras when we moved 2 years ago. I'm guessing @ 12 and I wear probably 3 pairs on a regular basis.
Busy day here today. Started with pouring down rain and about 2 or so, the sun came out but it was windy and cool. We had talked about driving down to Dollywood today, but with all the rain this morning we decided not to go today. Ended up having a short meeting for our upcoming dance in June, went to the fitness center and then was asked by our neighbor Desiree if we would watch her little puppy Jaxon. She was taking herself to urgent care and didn't know how long she would be. Fortunately, she wasn't too long. She was afraid they would send her to the ER. Ended up with diverticulitis and they gave her a script to take for it. Little Jaxon was fun and no problem. Fortunately he knows us and isn't afraid to come to our house. He's @ 5 months old. A little butterball!!
Wishing everyone a great Thursday.
