Good morning.
Chilly day today, 29 currently, clear, going to 48.
Robin, thank you. I am glad that part of the move is done. I was able to print everything off through my email on the laptop.
This whole thing of the charges for using cards, even debit cards is getting out of hand. Looks like we will be going back to the old-fashioned way of mailing checks.
No clue as to what kind of lock is on the apartment door.
I did the 2nd covid test and that one was negative also. The only reason I did that one was in case I did the first one wrong. I am pretty much back to normal except my lungs are still in the coughing and heavy breathing stage. That can be blamed too on one lung not being a complete lung.
Nice that your DH was able to go for the Passover dinner for a while. Otherwise, he is doing good?
Gareth, yes, I know how we are getting ripped off by using our cc or debit cards. I too hate writing checks now, as my penmanship, with the arthritis has gotten pretty messy, when it used to be very nice. I refuse to pay an extra $25 for rent.
It sounds like that funeral service you went to were trying to save every penny with the service. Which in these times can almost be expected. They just did a special report on one of the TV channels here about the ridiculous rent prices locally and they said the average price of an apartment here is $1,600 per month. HA! Don't I know!!! But prices for everything is just stupid!!! So, I say more power to the family of the man you went to see, if they can trim the costs of the funeral, good for them.
Wisconsin normally has winds in March and November. I guess we can add April too.
Carol, thank you, I will look that up, never heard of those.
I rarely write a check out, these days, so I guess I will have to get used to it again. If I kept paying the rent by card, it would add up to an extra $300 per year!!! Good Lord, that is just ridiculous. I have to let them know also, that I have my own renter's insurance, or they will tack that on too. I get a discount from my insurance company for having 3 things covered. This is common with management companies, as this place would have done that too, when we moved in here.
Happy Belated Birthday to your DD.
Anngie, thank you. Yes, it was easy! You can tell the government is not involved in this business.
The distance between this place and the new one is maybe 4 or 5 miles, but that really doesn't matter. What I will like, when I get settled and we have nice weather, is the walking I will be doing in the neighborhood, as the residential area around that complex is just beautiful. I will have to dress better to do the walking, hahaha. DS was the first text I sent to announce I was approved, even before the DD's.
She is so excited that I am somewhat in the neighborhood, AND in a lower apartment.
You have been having the wind too; what is up with that??? It is very tiring, but I see today there is no wind here, but the temp is cold, so of course it is not perfect.
Pinky, hi. Hope you get some me time soon, maybe this weekend.
Marsha will be back to tomorrow; welcome back!!! Hope your holiday turned out perfectly.
