Karen, no hills near us either. So I do notice any incline too.
Nothing planned for today except add has six month check up with neurologist who changed companies and moved nearer to us. I should not have to go unless he is having a wobble day, but looks not to.
between the two of us it has been tests and dr constantly all month again because of my pre-op and that.his six month checks all hit same month, but I have ear dr Friday. Tuesday is preop. Then I think we just chew nails until surgery.
yesterday I set up first home care visit two days after surgery.

You’re moving right along on that checklist, Linda.
Karen, I hope you had a good Osteo session and gym, if you went.
The elderly tanks had their inside mechanisms replaced along with the screws holding the tank to the seat. Things were rusting and deteriorating. We also had the plumber check the shut off valves as they appeared to be stuck. He got them unstuck with a wrench and we did not have to have them replaced. I think we would have had a flood soon in one of the bathrooms, so it’s a good thing we did the maintenance call.
I did another load of laundry today and roasted some vegetables. That’s about as busy as I’ve been.

Chele, that's good to have the plumbing maintenance done. I had the inside mechanisms replaced a few years ago and they still seem to be working fine. The plumbers the builders used were not great to put it mildly, so some of the original stuff didn't last as long as it should have. I had an AC tech show up early one time and I had just gotten out of the shower. He had to sit in the truck and wait for me lol. They had called and left a message that they were coming early, but of course I didn't hear it since I was in the shower.
Karen, we have plenty of cicadas here and they're very loud. We're just not in the area that's expecting the two large batches they're predicting for this year. That's awful on Dale getting credit card data stolen. We had someone at work have that happen on a business trip before Uber was around and he suspected it might have been done at a restaurant. It's definitely different being on hills than a treadmill. There is one street in the neighborhood here with a pretty good incline, but nothing approaching a hill anywhere in sight.
Linda, sounds like you're getting set up as well as possible for the surgery. Good thing the AC people could fit you in this week.

I had arranged that maintenance 4 weeks ago as they only do a few each week.
Cleaner is in mountain country of Mexico visiting her aged parents. So we will be 4 weeks between clean, but with house guest, we have been keeping up. So I got to sleep in until after 8.
weather went back to nice ..80 at 1 with a high of 82. Yea. So I got outside and pruned back the two shrubs attacking me when I turn in the hose and trimmed out the hanging bottom so guys tomorrow can blow leaves out of there. Also did the Thursday towel laundry routine.
thinking of lighter fare for supper. All this eating out put back a pound and I really need more gone since every pound is 4 pounds of pressure on knees and feet. Wish losing was as easy as gaining.
Bending over on my stool to prune shrub bottoms displeased my back sciatica tendency ,and fighting to straighten the new hose to fill the fountain made the knee mad. Boy, they really coil those tightly!
got the beet and orange salads done for supper to go with Costco Custer tilapia (kind of Mexican flavor) and the leftover Flemings scalloped potatoes au gratin.
Took an Advil and a Tylenol and steeling myself to go do PT. Then my next book, “A Bird In the Hand “ by Anne Cleeves who writes the Vera and Shetland books. This is a thin paperback from earlier. There will be a tv series 14 of Vera and then no more. Shetland tv still continues ith two women leads who are good.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Good that you were able to get repairs done on the toilets and the valves unstuck. That could have been a real mess. What veggies did you roast? I had a good session at Osteo and the gym. More on what happened in between shortly.
Linda, I hope nothing unexpected cropped up for your "nothing planned" day. Looks like after that you need to get some rest for upcoming appointments. Hope his appointment went well. Will your surgery be in and out on the same day or will you have to spend a night in the hospital? Good thing your cleaning lady will be back before your surgery. Sleeping until 8 sounds amazing! High of 82 also sounds amazing for your area, given that you've already been to 100. With all the restaurants you were visiting over the past week, I guess only being up a pound isn't bad. I know you're back on the straight and narrow now.
I think we have those annual cicadas here as well, Kathy, but they don't do as much damage as the ones we're expecting and there aren't as many of them. What are the odds of the AC tech showing up early? Late, yes. Good that he didn't leave for another call (like the Uber driver at Linda's). We were in the 70s today, so I hope you weren't much warmer.
I had a gorgeous day for a drive. There are some trails around the lake about 3 miles from Osteo, so I decided to check them out today. They are actual trails, meaning dirt, roots, and rocks, not the asphalt path I was expecting. I haven't been on that kind of trail for about 12 years. I did an out and back route and the out part went fine. The back part was another matter and I fell twice. Damage was right scraped knee, tweaked left ankle, and sore left ribs. Hoping to be able to stabilize the ankle with kinesiology tape so I can walk without much pain tomorrow. I managed to get through the gym workout for the most part. The rib pain made a couple of the arm exercises on that side a bit difficult to attempt. I think I'll try a hike instead of a run next time.
