Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Ruth, sorry you had such a rough day yesterday. I think if the doctor will give Stan something for his anxiety that would help both him and you. One time the doctor ordered a cream for Bill and when I got to the pharmacy it was over $400.00. I explained that we didn’t think it was going to be that expensive and the pharmacist said no problem, they would return it to the distributor. So even if they can’t give you the exact price before you order you can just not accept the med. Good luck with the meeting with the lawyer.
I enjoyed the gardening and growing a lot of flowers, it made the yard pretty and my tomatoes were always great. When we had a good year both Bill and I would bring bags of tomatoes to our offices and everyone was happy.
As far as my knees go, I could have surgery now, because bone on bone isn’t going to get better. Right now I only take ibuprophen in the morning and some days I use a cream on them but still not in constant pain. I average over 5000 steps a day and it would and could be more except for my feet. Hopefully the podiatrist can help me with that problem. There are 2 new TKR surgeries available in some areas. They are much less invasive and recovery is much quicker. I talked to someone in Florida who had her TKR in mid January and by the middle of February she was back to doing her pool walking. I looked up the procedure but when I checked there were only a few doctors in Connecticut who performed the procedure. They were also along what is known as the “gold coast” of Connecticut. I think the procedure will become more widespread in the next few years and hopefully will be available when I need the surgery.
Hope everyone is having a good day.

Good evening (almost 6 here)! We spent a good portion of our day with the lawyer. Too much information overload. We both came away with headaches, my tinnitus started up again; Stan won’t sleep tonight; just lots of fun. We have to make some major decisions in the next week or week and a half so that they can proceed with whichever kind of trust we want to set up. We have to decide between paying off our mortgage or putting those $$ into a Roth IRA. So we need a meeting with our financial advisor and I have an email in about that. Stan is trying to find when he had an IRA back in 2008 or so. I don’t have those old statements because he closed it out and said I didn’t need to keep those old papers. Ugh! I’m afraid Stan will worry about it all and not sleep. I didn’t sleep well last night at all, saw the clock once every hour, but I never do if I know I have to be up early for something.
In good news, the pharmacy did fill that prescription for the time release medicine and it was only the usual $20 co-pay. And they are out of his regular medicine but said they’d have it by the time he’s ok for a refill. So I think the doctor must have talked to them or else they realized it was a “different” medicine and submitted it anyway. And it wasn’t the one that was out of stock apparently. When we have the meeting with the Movement Specialist Neurologist I’ll ask her about an anti-anxiety. If he won’t take it, I might!
Dottie, I had not heard about the new TKR surgery. What’s it called? Maybe that’s what I had that it was so easy. I was doing steps correctly and not having issues (except for that rash) at 2 weeks. Everything about it was so much easier than the first time except for the allergy I developed to the liquid bandage that caused the rash.
Hope Joy had a good day at work! And that Bonnie & Martha are doing ok.
it’s nice out right now and I’m going to go sit out on the deck for a while. It’s to be raining by the time we get up in the morning so it’s now or never. And tomorrow morning I have my zoom meeting with my endo and we’ll see how that goes.
Have a great evening everyone! More tomorrow.
