Ran errands yesterday and then thunderstorms kept us off line afternoon and when we could plug back in, the internet did not reappear. Today we have plenty of produce to create with BUT might just reheat leftovers instead.
Tomorrow is a new month. Can't believe how quickly this month is going by!
Here's to a Merry Month of May for all of us!

Hi everyone! I got back from MA yesterday, driving directly to the library for the 12:390 Mah Jongg. then home where my husband and I walked around the corner for an early dinner and then I went to evening Mah Jongg. Games were just ok - not my best but it was good to play. I was proud of myself for not eating or drinking anything else when I got home. Made my steps goal every day after last Thursday! (not today though) Got outside Didn't do a proper job with my teeth or my D/N. The Habit Tracker was easier to fill in so I mostly kept up with that. We were super busy and had lots of fun! Decent drives both ways. I'm listening to a new Audiobook and it's really got my attention. It's called The Measure by Nikki Erlick. What a premise! I'm tired today. I was up so late last night catching up on a lot of stuff I missed doing while I was there. GisΓ©lle, I'm sorry you had the flu! Hope to see you soon! Cathy, Happy May Day tomorrow! Waving!

I still have the kale to cook and if I want to have it with beets and sweet potatoes for lunch, should get busy as it is nearing 12:30. Wish me luck!
KAREN: Glad your trip was fun, busy, and rewarding. Easy drives are nicer than fraught ones! Sounds like you slipped back into your normal routine with ease. What is your habit tracker?
Everyone - Here's to all of us having a Magnificent and Merry May!

Quiet day of rest and recovery. I needed it. Did not make my step goal Got outside Did my D/N & Habit Tracker Did my teeth Cathy, the Habit Tracker is a monthly sheet where I pick 6 things to try and accomplish each day along with a # of days I say in advance that I would like to accomplish that for the days in that month. So a new one starts today. At the end of the day I can color in the corresponding squares and obviously the more colored squares you see the more of your goals are attained. Caught up on all my Spelling Bee puzzles I hadn't finished since Friday. The new Duo tournament started after Sunday's ended. I waited until late Monday evening to do a lesson but the group I got placed in seems pretty competitive. The last one was super competitive and I worked hard to place 11th and remain in the Diamond League. Hoping I can be in the top 3 for this one. Waving to all!!

Had a good day yesterday. Today I hope there will be hot water for a shower before I get dressed to go out with Rosalie this afternoon. She will pick me up at 3pm, we will go to Batroun to walk and window shop, might find something to buy, and have coffee before returning home. I will probably buy a bottle of wine and that will be the sum of my day...plus some reading.
KAREN: Good luck with rating well on Duolingo. I find that I am doing less lessons now but still doing one morning and evening if possible. Sometimes more but at least that many. Do you print off the habit tracker or keep it in a notebook you make yourself?
Pam and GisΓ©lle - hope you are both okay and enjoying life where you are.

Good day yesterday! Yoga, dermatologist, then lunch with a friend and a visit afterwards. My husband went to work for the 11 P to 7 A so he had his 2 nap schedule. It was a quiet night and I sent a lot of time on Duo since I'd missed my morning session. Did all my puzzles too. Did not make my step goal Did not do my complete dental regimen Did not do my D/N & HT Got outside! I will do better today! Already did my HT from yesterday and it's all set up. Completing my AM D/N too. Cathy, it's a combination. I have materials I've printed from the Reel Weight Loss content but I keep different notebooks too so my template of sorts is handwritten. And I have notebooks for the course content and our Zoom calls. Have fun today! Waving to everyone!

Had fun yesterday. A new henna tattoo of flying birds that will last ten days was drawn on my left forearm and I bought a small necklace and earrings. Rosalie and I had fun at the Spring Festival in Batroun. Today is windy and the plan is to stay home. I will read and probably make pasta for lunch.
Karen: Thank you for explaining your journal.

Productive day yesterday. Did a small grocery run to take advantage of the last sale day before it changes on Friday. And I needed some items for upcoming meals but still need a couple of things. Finished an amazing book called The Measure by Nikki Erlick. Sunshine isn't eating well lately. Not sure why. Not super concerned yet but it is unusual. I have Mah Jongg today but it's at someone's home because of an event near the library that will preclude being able to park. I baked strawberry breads in coffee cans. 2 have nits and 2 do not. I will bring one of each. I think at least one member keeps kosher so I'm not sure if she'll eat any but we'll see. I know the hostess will. My family will meet for dinner at 7. My sister, bil and one of their 2 children. The other is away. And my husband and I will pick up Joy, my dad's wife, and bring her too. My brother can't make it. We usually celebrate April & May birthdays and when my mom was alive her birthday was in May too and near Mother's Day so we always celebrated around this time. My nephew and my husband both have the same May birthday too. It's a restaurant nearer to where they live. It will be nice. Sunday is the first of our dinners out to celebrate my husband's birthday and we are going to The Ukranian National Home in NYC at ~2. We love it there. His sister will meet us and I have asked Cousin Debbie but she hasn't gotten back to us yet. SHe sounded like she wanted to go but she prefers to drive in and we like the train. TBD. Made my steps goal Did my dental regimen Did my D/N & HT Got outside Cathy, it sounds like you had such a fun day! I always wondered about the henna tattoos but never tried one. I once wanted to put a coffee cup on my arm! Waving!!

Two days of overindulging has the scale up. Yesterday was a gobble-gobble everything in sight day. Back on track today. Have books to read and review and will start in again as soon as I finish with group check-ins online.
