The Mind☯Body☯Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:
Daily Affirmation
Fitness Goal or report
Health Goal

Good morning! Thank you for starting us Lisa!
Michelle, good to see you pop in yesterday.
Oh, I have the usual resolutions - lose five pounds, tone up, lift more weights and workout more. But, a real resolution that I do intend to work on is becoming an ace at cooking beans from scratch. Today while at work I have black beans soaking for my chili tonight. I plan to cook them in the Instant Pot, remove and then cook the chili in the IP, adding the beans at the end.
If anyone here enjoys cooking dried beans from scratch, I made an order from this company today: Rancho Gordo - found out about this company via a Facebook Instant Pot group. Supposedly, these heirloom beans are so field fresh that they require less cooking time and have softer textures than regular store dried beans. I'll report!
Daily Affirmation - I can cook anything I set my mind to.
Fitness Report - intense workout at the M.O.G. last night.
Health Goal - report to WW and get a weight, not matter how good or how bad. I want to have my last weight of December recorded before starting the New Year!
Gratitude - another day off Monday!

Good Afternoon, Angels:
Lisa, thank you for getting things started. Enjoy your game-time!
I took a hop on the scale this morning just out of curiosity. I'm up 3#, which considering what I ate last night - not to mention the last week - isn't so bad.
I don't usually make New Years resolutions; although, given my participation with this very positive spiritual group of women I've found (all of you), I'd certainly consider it. Typically, at this time of year, I'm more reflective of the past year. That "reflection", historically, isn't a positive thing for me. I tended to view the past year with the "glass half empty" attitude. You all have brought out an awareness in me that sees things a little differently.
So, I'll make a go of it along with those of you who choose to. My New Year's resolutions would include:
* continuing on with my weightloss success * Get strong. Get fit. * Take care of my health: top to bottom * “Take time to smell the roses”. In other words, be more mindful and appreciative of the moments I have versus living in the past and future. My annual family and friends gathering, yesterday, made me realize how this past year flew by! Unreal.
Daily Affirmation: Wellness is the natural state of my body.
Fitness Goal/report: nothing planned
Health Goal: Find inner peace. Learn to differentiate between those things I can control and those things I can't.
Gratitude: For my ears, so that I can listen to beautiful music. Right now, Pandora's "Classical for Study".
So good to see everyone here. Suzanne

Affirmation: Think! Do! Be! Positive
WW Goal: Water
Activity goal: All the usuals
Gratitude: Sunny weather!
New year's resolutions: I started to think about goal setting in quantifiable terms--like exercise 5 days a week.... but decided instead to set some goals pertaining to attitude, thinking that attitude is what drives behavior and therefor accomplishment. In other words "Change your thinking, change your life". I used to run an Attitude Habit Builder and chose two words each day to help "drive" my behavior. At first it didn't seem to matter but after some weeks of doing it the change was noticeable. If I chose words like "sunny and perky" I could track back how my behaviors modeled that for the day. This was simple to do and since I was consistent I thought the results were shown in my motivation and accomplishment be it in the area of getting things done, or ways to feel emotionally. Anyway, I will go back to doing that and see the results of what happens.
Today's Attitude Habit Builder: Positive and productive
