This challenge was created fifteen years ago by a few Weight Watchers members.
We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes.
Success isnβt always measured at the scale.
Each day, think about the positive actions that you made the day before and identify the challenges you are working on.
Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join.
If you are the first one to post each week, please copy, paste and get us started.
If you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas for following the plan.

Yes I Did: Stay OP, make healthy choices, walk 30 minutes while reading, hydrate, check in with online friends Yes I Can: Track every BLT, String a third OP day onto the chain, walk 30 minutes, make a dent in the laundry pile, stay positive It was a bit cooler last night so sleeping was easier. It is another warm day and the fans are on inside with windows closed. I have mattress pads to hang on the line and more to wash. It will get done but first need to make sure we have water and how many loads it is safe to do. Not sure what lunch will be but could make either Mexican Bowls with brown rice, cabbage, ranch dressing, and beans OR perhaps grain bowls of a different variety. Hubby may go shopping and bring things home to cook with or a rotisserie chicken or something but I am getting peckish now so might not be able to wait for him. There is a lot of produce in our future but not quite yet. BOOKS: Finished and turned in the scoresheet for the fifth of six books I've been given to read and judge for a writing group and will read the sixth after putting another one or two in between. I am still behind but did enjoy Patricia Rice's book and what a different type of book it is from the one I just started by Marni Mann Books take me away to places I may never see and I meet the most interesting characters and experience things through words that help me stretch and grow as a person. Okay...need to get on with the day. Here's to another week of goals achieved!

Yes I Did have an OP day yesterday and sleep nearly eight hours last night,
Yes I can: buy produce and groceries for more healthy OP meals, walk, stay positive
We went shopping this morning. Windows are open because it is slightly cooler - phew. Talked to our son and his family. He is off on another business trip this week and will be gone ten days.
BOOKS: I finished the steamy book by Marni Mann, wrote the review, and started a historical fiction that starts a bit like a Bogart movie. It flips between events during WWII and just afterward. It didn't grab me in the first few chapters so read the end and it was so-so. Writing was fine but maybe not what I want to read right now? I will read while walking if I walk and if it is not any better during daylight hours will read enough to review and move on.
Hope you all are doing well with your "canning" - I am down a bit on the scale and happy about that...onward and downward I go.

Happy Juneteenth.
I'm back with the living...almost. Surgery was very painful and recovery slow, but I am getting through it. Just getting ready to get on the knee machine which I have to do 4-6 hours per day. All the PT is like a full-time job. Just wanted to say hello. Will be back when I can.
Hugs to All,
Jan

Hello, Jan, Cathy, and other CANners!
Jan - sending you lots of healing energy β¨. Yes you CAN get through this PT marathon and feel much better soon!
Cathy - yay for scale drop! I know how much effort that entails. Enjoy your iced coffee and cards.
Yes I DID: --some email decluttering and some garden decluttering over the weekend, yay! Got rid of old broken pots, filled in some holes, raked debris from the area nearest the house. Looks much better! --enjoy final cello choir of the term, done until Sept. Such an enjoyable group of people, I look forward to seeing them again. But also looking forward to summer "vacation", just like a little kid. --get out for morning walks yesterday & today. We're having 4-5 days of over 90Β° & very humid, unusual for our area in June.
Yes I CAN: --stay cool --scale back on bread/muffin/etc. empty calories....wt is staying level, but I'd like it to go downward a tad! --remain positive....limit my exposure to alarming stories on the news & online, especially before bed!
Be well! Carol

Yes I had fun with Rosalie but when I got home I went way off program and yes, the scale was up this morning Yes I can stay OP today, make healthy choices, and not indulge again today.
JAN: Good to see your post. I can't imagine hours of knee exercises if your knee is painful...yikes! Hope you heal quickly!
CAROL: I, too, need to rein myself in and decrease calorie ingestion. I also would like to only check the news once or twice a day...so little is feel-good news these days.

Happy Saturday noon, positive peeps π₯π₯π¦!
Yes I DID: --have a good chiropractor visit --enjoy a late afternoon bike ride. We drove to a park on the canal about 30 miles away then rode the bikes to the next town, 20 miles out & back. Weather was great, warm but a little breeze. --wind down. Dinner was quite late because of the bike ride and drive time, but I did make the effort to quiet my mind before bed.
Yes I CAN: --tackle some decluttering, maybe take a box or bag outside and work on it in the shade. --eat healthy --wind down, not ruminate on things left undone or not done perfectly
