Good morning.
Another day, another rainfall. Ridiculous! 60, raining lightly now, chance of rain for most of the day, with a high of just 73, after having outrageous humidity yesterday and very warm temps.
Gareth, good that your DH thinks it is just a cold, but those summer colds can get awful too.
A lot of places, like sports bars and other kinds of eateries seem to have their music too loud, which I do not get. It is so hard to have conversations at those places.
It has been a while since I have been to Hy-Vee, so I don't remember their music. I know my DS goes there a lot, and since they will be here later, I will have to remember to ask them about it.
Sorry for all the deaths in your lives lately. Will you be going to all those funerals?
Could the door be stuck from all the humidity?
Marsha, I don't think you will be walking the dog this morning. Of course, you might not be having the light rain that I have here. With that rain that came late yesterday, mothers were venting on FB last night about their daughter's soccer games and baseball games getting cancelled so much. I just can't imagine their crazy schedules.
DH and I took a liking to wild rice late in our life, but now that he is gone, I do not make it at all. One thing I can easily give up.
Your talk of returning items to Amazon through Kohl's reminded me I still have those stupid jeans to return to them. Does Kohl's have a time limit to return items?
Carol, Sorry about your migraine. At least you haven't gotten them lately, right?
I am very happy for your DS and DDIL also; with not being able to have children, you know they will be that kind of parents that love the child/children so much.
I watched a documentary a while ago about the missile crisis, and with me being maybe 9 at the time, I was not aware of what was going on. It was in fact shocking to hear and see how close to WWIII we were, which would have all been on Kennedy's head. I love watching those kinds of shows in the afternoon.
Yes, me too, about putting on music sometimes. I like listening to my playlist on my phone when I am doing things like mopping or vacuuming.
I hope all is ok in Robins household.
Hello to Pinky, I sure am curious how everything is going for the BIG party this weekend. I hope she isn't doing too much. I know she wanted to mow the lawn and get some other lawn work done. Fingers crossed she didn't get all this rain we are having almost daily.
Yesterday, after getting the new pads for my steam mop the other day, I decided it was a good day to mop all the floors. Not a smart idea, with the humidity so blooming high. I even had sweat dropping off my nose!! Like I said, I used one of the new pads on the mop, and I could not believe how dirty that was, when I got done!!! I took a picture and sent it to my DDs. I will try washing it, but I don't know if it will come clean. I have spot remover, so I will put that on it too. But I could see that the flooring here has not been washed in ions!!
Oh, my I almost forgot! Right when I was starting my cleaning yesterday, I had a knock on my door. It was 2 young fellas, all duded up. Yup! They wanted to talk religion! After telling them no thank you, I asked how they got into the building. One guy said he lives in the building so has a key. I might bring this up to the property manager, as I don't think Jehovah Witnesses should be allowed to go door to door here, in a secure building.
Looks like the steak dinner I am invited to on Saturday, at DDs might get rescheduled. We are predicted to have almost monsoon like rains. They were to pick me up and bring me home, but I really do not care to go out at all in that kind of weather, so I hope they reschedule.
