Rained almost all day. The sun came out a while ago and it was raining like crazy. Now it's all gray again. More thunderstorms predicted for tonight and maybe some clearing tomorrow.
Did one load of laundry today, went to the library, stirred up cookies and not much else.
Connie, sorry you're having a bad time dealing with the humidity. Hasn't been too bad here, just constant rain. Dangerous situations in many areas in northern MN and some in the southeastern parts too. No problem with flooding here but ground is so saturated.
Not much else going on here. Big Dew Days celebration here. I've never been to it, not even sure what's going on except the parade on Sunday. Also my family get together this weekend. I decided it was too far for me to drive and not a lot of fun when it's so wet. Haven't heard much about it this year. My niece decided to change the dates this year because she had plans for last weekend. People were not happy and many were not going.
Have a good night. bettyj

I do musicyoutube.com and pick the music I want to listen too. I would rather listen to music , most all kinds than TV any day. Today has been break up country music.
I did finally get some things done outside today. Was it hot and humid, yes, very and was not out there very long. Had the big buckets of top soil for DSIL that he had given me the other day. If I need more later they are getting more top soil in next few weeks. I don't think I will need any more. He stopped after mowing his DDs lawn, and changed filter in my whole house water filter. It is too high up by ceiling for me to even see what to do. We both did get a bit wet but basement is cool and honestly it felt good. Cold water. I had washed and cleaned some strawberries for him and also got him a fresh picked cucumber for his salad for lunch tomorrow. they are $1 for one and I got one also. So good. not very big around and small seeds and such a great taste for a change. He Put the new battery in the car remote fob. I can't even see the small screw to unscrew to get into it and opening the battery compartment is a pain. Did have one battery still in wrapped package and it works great. Thanks to him. I hope to get to go to one of the car shows this summer. He put a lot into that car. A 1962 bright red Chevy Nova , not a convertible but a great looking car.
We had a good chat and he does want a piece of the strawberry pie when I get it made tomorrow. I couldn't remember if he liked it or not. But he was adamant that he does and will welcome a piece of it. Bet it is quiet at home for him with DD gone to see the baby. Got a picture and he is growing like a bad weed!! leaps and bounds.

Good evening.
Today was a hot one for me and I love warm weather. It made it to 96 but felt like 104.
Really did nothing because of the heat and I have central air but at some point in the day I believe PSEG cuts back on the power, so we don't have outages.
Nothing else going on here. Have a good evening everyone!

Hello everyone
Was hot here also today. Will be 95 Saturday and Sunday. Summer has arrived.
Decided to put out the bag of mulch tomorrow morning when cooler. I did use the big metal drip line holders ( kinda like a big staple) in 4 areas where it was bowing upwards. So now everything is flat. I did move some existing bark over the visible lines so coyotes hopefully won’t tear into them like a few months ago.
I also changed the time the lawn sprinklers go on. Was set at 5:30 am. But coyotes are in the block at that time. I am sure they love the sprinkler on so they can drink water. They now come on at 8am and think the coyotes are back in bed sleeping. This might help keeping them out of our yards.
We had skunks spray in backyard last night and it smelled in our bedroom. Yuck. Between the rabbits, squirrels, hawks, birds, possums and skunks, it’s a jungle out there. lol
