When I came to the boards before these, I was going to post these questions and then we moved here and I didn't get around to it. So, I've posted a number of posts but still want to ask this stuff. This is mostly questions along the lines of "where do I post about..." And, maybe the answers to these questions seem obvious, but these are things I've been wondering...
1. I've seen a number of daily chat type threads. I perused a few of them at the prior boards and was frankly a bit intimidated by them. From some other boards I've been on, I know that sometimes those kinds of chat threads are really for a specific group of people and newcomers are discouraged. So this leads to some questions. First, can anyone post to these? (I know that some aren't appropriate for me. I'm not tall and have a JD and MSW degree not a PhD.) But, most of the others seem open. Are there any that really aren't that I shouldn't wade into? Or, to put it another way, are there any that are looking to expand people posting in them?
2. For the daily chat threads do most generally post to one thread? I can see if a chat thread is in a particular forum that maybe most would post to one thread. But, what about threads on different forums? For example, I could post on a general On Plan thread and then maybe a Maintenance thread and maybe even a Less to Loss thread. (Yes, I've vacillated whether to post on the Maintenance chats or Less to Lose - I am at WW goal, but I want to lose about 10 pounds. So not sure which is appropriate. Or maybe Less to Lose isn't right at all since I didn't start out with Less to Lose...)
3. What about non-chat posts? I have been a little uncertain where to post general weight loss related topics that aren't chat threads. Do they go in On Plan or General? Does it make a difference if the topic would be WW related or not? For example, I was thinking about posting a topic on intermittent fasting but I couldn't decide whether to put it in General or On Plan or somewhere else entirely.
4. Anything else I might need to know about what to post where?
