Good Friday Morning, positive peeps π£π₯!
Jan! Welcome back to the thread. I'm sorry you're having such a painful recovery with that knee. Ow! Anyway, I'm glad to see you again. Sending healing energy your way β¨β¨
Yes I DID: --exhausting grocery run yesterday. Sweetie is due for a colonoscopy and trying to find things he wants and can eat for the couple of days before has been surprisingly stressful! I am aiming to pull myself back to calm focused demeanor! --finally trim my overgrown forsythia bush (which has been scraping my car every time I pull into the driveway) and bought a few annuals to brighten up the entrance. --sleep well, although I got to bed too late. Working on it.
Yes I CAN: --resume decluttering...office/workout area has reverted to chaos! --get outside for a walk and do some strength training....have let that slide lately --definitely wind down earlier

Good Tuesday afternoon, Aug 6!
Yes I DID: --enjoy 2 Silver Sneakers classes on Zoom. Stretching felt really good. --buy & prepare special food for Sweetie, prepping for procedure tomorrow. I'm eating the same bland food, LOL Actually some food, like Rice Krispies, is not bad...but limited veggies, grains and seasonings is boring. --sleep well
Yes I CAN: --enjoy music class this evening --wind down earlier
Be well! Carol

Good Friday morning, positive peeps π£π£!
It's a rainy day, so I will be working out indoors today. Maybe I can get some decluttering done!
Sweetie's procedure on Wednesday went well. But the logistics took up most of the day. I did get out for a short walk, did some laundry. We had lots of critters in our yard, birdies, squirrels, including a rare red squirrel (they are smaller but very territorial/aggressive), groundhogs, bunnies. Even a deer, early evening.
Yesterday I DID: --a lovely long neighborhood walk, early in the day (very humid day) --spend longer than planned taking sweetie for some lab work in the afternoon. His doctor's office had made an error in the order for lab work and it took almost and hour to straighten it out. Luckily, I had brought a paperback along to read! --enjoy breakfast food for dinner at our favorite diner. This was our celebration of being able to eat "normal" food again. We did not enjoy the low fiber and especially not the "clear liquids" part of this prep.
Yes I CAN: --do a grocery run --get some strength training --box some stuff for donation
Be well! Carol

Good Saturday noon, positive peeps π₯π₯!
Yesterday was one of those somewhat non-productive days. I can't even tell you what took up the day, other than some grocery shopping for the weekend. I guess I'm trying to get back into a "normal" schedule after the chaotic days trying to get sweetie through his medical prep and appointments. We had lots of discussions about things, as he has been rather anxious about the whole process, and I want to be helpful and factual but calming. He's a science guy, so he wants to have the facts, but he also can worry too much about details...so it's a balancing act sometimes. It also was a rainy drizzly day, which meant I didn't get out for a walk, my best de-stressor. We got only 1" all afternoon and there was a lot of puddling and ponding, so I can't even imagine what it would be like to get 1" per hour for several hours! Anyway, today looks better. Blue sky, low 70's. Nice.
Yes I DID: --get healthy groceries for the weekend --some bookkeeping --wind down listening to positive podcasts, not crazy political stuff!
Yes I CAN: --attend WW zoom mtg & actually weigh myself (been slacking on that) --do strength training --get out for a walk in the fresh air!
Be well! Carol

Good Monday Morning, positive peeps π£π£!
Yesterday was a day of on and off little thundershowers. The sun tried to show up now and then, but then the dark clouds rolled in again....so my walking was all indoors.
Yes I DID: --early church and then a nice take-out coffee --mostly lazy day, caught up on some reading, some TV --enjoy chicken breast done in the air fryer, potato, fresh string beans & zucchini from the farm stand
Yes I CAN: --grocery shop --actually do some strength training... --wind down 30 minutes earlier...I CAN do this!
Be well! Carol

Good Thursday noon, positive peeps π₯π₯!
Tuesday I zoomed strength training, just 15 minutes, and a stretching class.
Yesterday I DID: --make a really good salad with lots of spring greens, fresh fruits, a nice sesame-ginger dressing. --enjoy the annual picnic/pool party with the computer club. This was the event that was postponed from July due to a big thunderstorm. Yesterday was a beautiful day, very warm, sunny, no storms, yay! I really enjoyed the cookout foods, chatting with friends, and a lovely time in the pool. I think everyone had a good time. --sleep really well, very relaxed
Yes I CAN: --get back to decluttering --do a quick grocery run for the weekend. --wind down earlier.....why is this so hard???
Half the month is gone...whoosh! It's been busier for me than usual. Still trying to get into a routine. That's the rub, part of me wants to have more routine & stability, part of me wants excitement, newness and perhaps chaos. I have been debating whether to take a break from the Tap classes in the Fall, because the schedule has changed and it will be later in the morning, which means we'll have to change our meal schedule for that day. I probably will eat a light breakfast on my own. I also am trying to work out having a semi-private guitar lesson once a week along with the another gal in the 6-week guitar sampler class I took this summer. In the Fall I'll resume the weekly cello lesson and cello choir. Just wondering how many new things I can realistically handle practicing every week. Well, the default is that I probably won't practice dance very much. So, no change there. And the guitar is really easy to just pick up and play for a few minutes, unlike the cello which requires a bit more prep.
Be well, CANners. I know you're out there, being busy. Hope some of you will stop by and say hi! Carol
