Didn’t they do the same thing when Smart Points first came out? A personalised plan that asked if you liked structure or wanted to minimise tracking, and how much activity you get etc. One could argue that they consider all their plans “personalised” because you have the choice on how you want to spend your Points.....so I’m not expecting anything ground breaking with this.
As a side note, all the packaging on their frozen foods have changed here suddenly, with old stock heavily reduced to clear them. In tiny writing they are still using the term ‘Smart Points’ but you have to look hard to find it.

I am struggling to think how they could personalize and yet keep all the 0 point foods and keep the current Smart Points calculation formula. Before Freestyle came out I was doing fine. I was on maintenance and was several pounds below my goal weight. But, once I started Freestyle my weight started creeping up. I didn't really notice it at first since I was still under goal but looking back it is really clear. It was just the disconnect between points and calories. So, any plan they have that tweeks with, say, how many points you get but still has this huge disconnect between points and calories is not going to be helpful to me. But, if the plan changes points and 0 point foods then the people who like Freestyle won't like it. Theoretically they could give you the choice to have the 0 point foods or not but not sure they would do that.

I wondering how they’ll keep Freestyle converts “happy”, unless they bring back a version of SF???
I’m wondering too if they could do something like the iTrackBites App, where you choose different plans (I doubt very much if they call the plans their old previous names, but they could easily be older plans under a new name)....but again, I’m very cynical and have no faith in their IT department.

I wanna make a prediction!
WW is all about little changes that cause big problems.
I predict that they are going to straight up copy Noom. So Noom uses red, yellow, and green light foods. Weight Watchers will do the same. Green light foods will be their list of free foods, Yellow light foods will be everything that doesn't have high sugar and fat, and Red light foods will be everything they've doubled since SmartPoints came out, like milk. The Freestyle converts will be happy because basically nothing has changed, and everyone else gets to go through the psychological abuse of knowing that they're eating something that makes them bad!
Obviously, I wish with everyone that they would do something like iTrackBites, but that would be giving them too much credit. They aren't looking for steady business with something that works, they're looking for the newest fad to boost sales then watch them drop like a rock.

"That" would make perfect sense and also why they aren't moving away from Kurbo due to all the criticism. I just quit, again, for the umpteenth time and decided not to go back until there's a new program. Freestyle (and Smart Points to a lesser degree) have never worked for me and I've always felt like a failure (which is something WW should not be making me feel) due to my non-success with it. I lost my weight on the original and points plus...so now I'm back to itrackbites. Will miss the meetings, but I need to move on!

Someone on reddit posted that the new plan information announcement is coming the week of November 11th; but not sure what country they are in.

Laura M I agree with you.I did make goal on the old Smart Points though after I finally made the adjustment from points plus.Freestyle has been a bust for me.I did not gain on it but I didn't lose either.I am doing PP on ITB (and double tracking calories on MFP because I don't trust the calorie counts on ITB)but the whole points to calorie disconnect has really gotten me disillusioned with WW.I cancelled earlier this month but my subscription doesn't end until 9/27. I read an article by a person who joined WW when she was 13.She said 20 years later she is still fighting an eating disorder. She went on to say WW is not about losing or wellness. It's about the bottom line which is what many of us know. She said because of her experience at such an early age she is so disturbed about kurbo.

This is an aside to the new plan rumors... While looking for a digital postal scale yesterday on Amazon, I came across this food scale—
Link: www.amazon.com/Etekcity-ESN00-Nutrition-Counting-Bluetooth/dp/B07FCZSC41/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2EW3SVORLEREE&keywords=etekcity+digital+kitchen+food+scale&qid=1568411858&sprefix=etek%2Caps%2C190&sr=8-4You look up a food in the app, weight the food, and the app translates the exact weight of what you’re planning to eat into the nutritional information (calories, fat, sat fat, carbs, and many more). It has barcode scanning capability, although there doesn’t currently seem to be a database behind the bar codes. But if a food insn’t in the database, you can enter the food and it’ls NI and then it is in your personal database. I was intrigued enough to buy one and it was delivered yesterday (same day delivery for free). I’ve tried it out since last night and love that I’m getting accurate info on carbs and fiber so as to accurately calculate my insulin dosage. THIS is the type of technology WW should have been developing eight years ago!

zazzles Way too complicated for WW and me too for that matter. I am sure it helps you with your diabetes counts though.Hope you continue to like what it will do for you.

Way too complicated for WW and me too for that matter. Back at the end of the POINTS days or the beginning of the PointsPlus days, WW actually had a company working on a scale like this that was to integrate with their mobile app. But the project died (guess with WW’s IT that should be no surprise). It would have allowed accurate tracking at home with conversion to points. Not for everybody, but there would have been those who would have been enticed to join for an option like that.

zazzles I love that scale!!! But they lost me at having to enter stuff in. After 85 years of tracking on MFP I finally have everything I eat regularly entered there. That is REALLY cool though.

Something similar is available in our stores now (though I have never been tempted to look into it).
There is also an exact same thing for the Ninja (I think) processor. The gadget weighs the foods and links via Bluetooth to an App, and then the app gives you the nutritional breakdown.

OMG I can totally see that, in which case, I wouldn’t be interested one bit. No, wait I definitely remember someone in the know saying the new plan was going to still be Points based but removing all the current free foods except for fruits and veggies. How that will please current Freestyle members is still a mystery.
