Good morning. I'm getting rid of stuff I don't want or need, clothes, shoes, apps, etc. Might also take a break from social media for a while, too.Year end tradition. Might go to Michaels because I need a cutesy organizer for the year. Stayed up binge watching hair tutorials, so now I want mousse for a style I want to try. Other than that I am staying in.
If I decide to do the social media break, be at peace, be happy, be healthy, be sucessful, and I'll be thinking about you all. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year newheavensearth2!! We aren't actually "social" media, technically we are a support system that is an integral part of health maintenance, so theoretically, posting here is beneficial for your health! Seriously all the best to you in the New Year, we hope to see you back soon!

Good morning ladies. Kathy - I really found the story funny because Charlie wasn't even accepted for obedience training, much less daycare. Charlie and I went for a little ride to get propane for the grill so I don't run out during dinner tonight. I grill year round unless there is more than 6" snow on the ground. :-) I'm going into 2017 determined to remain at goal, if not a bit lower, and step up the weights as much as my body will allow.

Happy New Years Eve all! DebDoesWW and itsrad,Thank you so much for being so much of a support for us and our weight loss journey. You both have done a wonderful job in moving this board over. I also want to thank all my friends here for their support and friendship. We may all be cyber friends but I consider you all to be friends as well. My goal for 2017 is to learn how to maintain.I am back below the highest goal WW set for me and since I do online only I need to learn how to keep it off.I am back at my pre Christmas weight so I'm ready to do this thing. susiq25679,I had to laugh at Charlie not being accepted for obedience training. He and my Scooter may be twins b/c she definitely wouldn't be accepted for obedience training now.I keep telling myself she's still a puppy.A very tall puppy but nevertheless still a puppy.Do they get better after they turn 2 yo?I hope so although I must say she is getting better and she is such a smart dog(I know we all think our pets are smart)but sometimes she's too smart for her own good. Have a great 2017 all!

Good Morning All. Beautiful but cold day here. Just got back from a walk downtown to my new favorite store where they were having a today only sale.
Great NSV! It a boutique type store and I got a shirt there in a "regular" size this summer. The price was great and I loved it so much I planned to get other colors and patterns. With 20% off today was the day. Well low and behold they only had one in my size and the others were all in a size that was too big...and a size that probably would not have fit in the past. I can't remember the last time I couldn't buy things because they were too big! Yay WW!
I also don't make resolutions. I had some ups and serious downs in 2016 but I am looking forward to 2017. With goal so close that I can taste it (of course there is a food reference there) I am more than excited. There is plenty of time to get there but it feels good to have it in view.
Humor is the only way to get through life. Laughter is medicine to me.
I am sure I will be asleep before the ball drops tonight so I say thanks friends and Happy New Year!

borntexan No, they don't get better after 2. Charlie is almost 12. He know how to unlock and open the sliding glass door in the bedroom (hence a bar in the door) and can open the one in the dining room from outside to let himself in. I have several videos of him in action.

lol pbnj I refuse to start the year with roots showing! Just realized as I'm making the roots disappear that it is NOT Ms. Clairol but instead L'Oreal... because "I'M WORTH IT!!"

Happy New Year's Eve! I'm officially "back on the wagon" with SmartPoints tracking/counting, after deciding I'd rather stick with the familiar than try a new app at this point. I'm utterly dependent on the WW points systems after 18 years on/off WW. I've come to terms with that.
Sometime this evening I'm going to write up a body weight workout routine for myself to do at home a few times a week because I'm disappointed with my gym's class options this coming quarter. I'm also setting up my yoga mat in my office because I'd like to start a regular yoga practice (5 mins of breathing counts!).
Other than that--just got back from the grocery store for my house, now off to the store for DH's grandfather.

@beckyw2016 Happy New Year Becky! Maintaining takes time to learn just like losing did, you will get there, just be patient with yourself, feel free to ask questions as they come up. thyme2 WOOHOOOOOO! That is a great NSV! You are the poster child for "git 'er done" I have truly enjoyed watching your progress. I know 2017 is absolutely your year for goal, the champagne is already in the fridge chilling! Lmao susiq25679, I LOVE Charlie-dog stories, he's such a rebel ❤ riverkat79 stick around River, this is the group that will get you back at goal, they are a very determined bunch Just wanted to do a shoutout to any lurkers, please feel free to join us. The support system in here is truly priceless.

<OMG> it's afternoon already... and TOOTS is napping. He didn't sleep well - he has a stubborn cough that is very slowly improving and was up at 4:30 AM. As was I. I made the strategic error of trying to go back to sleep; in future I will have a couple of books next to my recliner and just use the time for prayer/reflection/meditation.
The band got a surprise at last evening's gig - the already-DOUBLE gig tonight now has the add-on of a video session at 6 PM (then 1st show at 7 and 2nd at 9:30). Playing the charts THREE TIMES? Someone doesn't understand that brass players' lips get worn out after all that pounding, that it's not just "flip the switch and turn it on/off", and that the "BIG show" at 9:30 will have musicians with very tired chops. <meh>.
Our 8:30 AM WW meeting was surprisingly well-attended (note to self: get there EARLY next week). I'm down 1# - good news, heading into tomorrow's N*Y*Day party and then our season-ENDER next Saturday. I'm not going to the gig and we're having our main meal around 2 PM (roast chicken, carrots, mashed potato - simple food that will "hold" Toots until the food they've been promised). Tonight I'll indulge in shrimp.
Once he heads out I've got some paper-sorting on my agenda, and a final checkbook balance for 2016. And I'll spend my evening with Arnie the Macaw, just chillin' and reflecting on the year past and the year to come. It suits.
