Checking in late but here. As a Corbie and now SF follower, the ghgs were key to my journey and I still check them. Focused once again after my WI this morning. Then walked across campus to Dr appt so steps are adding up. Also getting in my liquids, both water and iced tea. Also focused on my blue dot today. Lmenglish: my dh is a retired Peds Hem-Onc doc. For over 25+ years we went to ACS camp for many of his patients. Camp started yesterday and it's one of the things we miss about our years in TX. ksbruns: dh and I still add oil to our oatmeal! Sleep well everyone!

ksbruns, New doctor-- seems competent, some good ideas, a new plan to discontinue some daily meds and have some new meds to attack the next bad headache "if" it comes. Nice to have someone who seems interested in my care and not just acting like it's "all in my head". Have a follow-up in 2 months but can call if her with any problems. 👍

I did actually add sunflower oil to oatmeal when I was really trying to follow the plan! It wasn't bad at all but it also didn't make any difference in weight loss or satiety that I noticed.
I know my perennial problem that keeps me overweight is that I tend to follow the plan during the day and go off at night. Or stay on plan during the week and go off on the weekends. It's not that I'm missing oil or protein or not eating clean.

oh my god i hated that too. the people who insisted that if you weren't checking off EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE BOXES that you were completely OFF plan and doing your own version of WW. Fin that drove me NUTS. Everyone tweaks the plan to make it fit their lifestyle, and the ones that would criticize people saying they weren't doing the plan made me *EYEROLL* Literally they would sit there and say "any" tweaks meant you weren't doing WW. Crazy, if you don't tweak it and make it work for you, you aren't going to do it, period!

pamthomas46, It was always an easy fix for a day I wasn't cooking (which has always been frequent...) and 100gone, I thought it did help me with satiety....but maybe it was just so I could shine my halo and check all the boxes! pbnj, that sounds hopeful; I'm not sure if I'll keep this new dermatologist or not (we'll see how I heal.) But, you really need a doctor you can count on after these past months. DebDoesWW, I'll see the state of me in the AM; I still have the masks I wore when I flew to Budapest sick...no use scaring anyone on the bus or the train!

It's not that I'm missing oil or protein or not eating clean. this is exactly my problem. i can seem to follow it for a period of hours but not a full 24 hour period. and i'm not even depriving myself. i just end up snacking more towards the late evening, even though i stop all eating at 9pm. just too many calories to lose any weight.

one thing i know i need to do is start meal planning again. that helps me a lot because then i'm not winging it willy nilly and can log my calories (or points, depending on which i'm doing) in advance. so i starting typing out a post it to myself on my macbook of various meals i know i'd do (nothing complicated or with too many ingredients). a weird one on this list is a lunch called a pickle submarine. but it looks good! pickle slices in place of bread. probably really high in sodium but looks appetizing to me.

I saw something like that Fin but it was a scooped out cucumber with tuna inside, looked good and cool for summer.
